“Jessy”. Ashley called in shock.
Jaden Roy got on his feet staring at his stained shirt that looked like it could buy a house and i quickly went on my knees.
“Sir … It was … It was a mistake .. I … I didn’t mean to”.
“Are you this clumsy?”. He asked frustrated.
Then Mr. West entered. “What’s going on?”.

“Are you this clumsy?”. Jaden Roy asked.
Then the manager entered. “What’s going on?”.
“I mistakenly spilled__”.
I cut her off. “I spilled wine on him. It was a mistake”.
There’s no way Jessy is losing her job.
At least not in front of her crush.
“Is that what happened? Sir?”. The manager asked.
“Yes”. Jaden Roy answered. “That’s what happened”.
I smiled. “Umm, can i get a clean handkerchief or wipes”.
“Okay”. The manager said leaving.
“You all can leave”. Jaden said.
The waitresses left including his body-guards.
“Sir .. I’m so so sorry … I never meant to do that”. Jessy said pleading.
I sighed standing up. I pulled Jessy up.
I faced Jaden. “She’s apologizing”.
“So?”.
I pouted. “Please”.
“Okay fine”. He said tightly.
Jessy squealed. “Thank you .. Thank you .. Thank you”.
I nudged Jessy to stop.
He got up. “I better go”.
He stopped and turned. “Good-luck with your crush”.
My cheeks heated up as he left the lounge. Jessy squealed immediately.
I laughed. “What is wrong with you?”.
She hugged me tightly. “You are the best friend anyone could ever ask for”.
I hugged her in return. “Thanks”.
I pulled away. “So are you through with your shift”.
She shook her head. “Nope. Just an hour to go”.
“I’ll wait”. I said sitting back in the booth relaxing.

“What if she says no?”. I asked.
“What if she doesn’t say no?”.
I ran my hands through my hair nervously. “I don’t know”.
“Fine, if you are not ready then don’t get all possessive when she’s with some other guy”.
I looked away. “How do i tell her?”.
“First, get her attention or something”.
I smiled to myself.
Maybe a kss.
“Don’t even think about kssing her”. Audrey said breaking into my thoughts.
I raised my hands as a sign of surrender. “Agreed”.
She laughed. “So are you gonna do it?”.
“Hmmm, maybe”.
She hit me playfully.
“Okay fine. Tomorrow”.
She poked me. “Wow!! Xander is finally growing up”.
“Since when did you become a love counselor?”. I teased her.
She frowned. “Since the time my heart got broken”.
“Oh”.
She continued. “So i said to myself. Audrey Harper, you are better than this. Ever since that day, my heart became ice cold”. She said dramatically.
“Who was the guy?”. I asked curious.
I never thought Audrey had a broken heart.
“Huh?”.
“The guy? The one who broke your heart? His name”.
“Maybe i’ll tell you another day”.
Then Lily ran over to us panting. “Did you see that?”.
“See what?”. Audrey asked.
Lily groaned crouching. “My life is over”.
Adrian came over smirking. “Okay Lily. Or should i say Assistant Lily”.
“Dude! You won”.
Lily stood up. “Hey!! Don’t congratulate him. He cheated”.
“Just admit it. You lost”.
Lily groaned the more. “Audrey help me out”.
“I don’t know”. Audrey admitted.
Lily sighed. “What do you want me to do?”. She asked Adrian.
“Your work starts tomorrow at school”.
“Come on Audrey. Lets go home”.
Audrey glanced at her phone. “Its 6pm already”.
“Gotta go”. She added getting up.
They all walked to Adrian’s car getting in. The car drove out through the open gates immediately.
The gates closed automatically. I went back to the main house.
I went upstairs passing my Mum who was sleeping on the couch tiredly.
I went to my room flopping on the bed.
I remembered what Audrey said.
‘Get her attention’.
I smirked. I know just the way.

We walked out of the classic restaurant laughing.
“Seriously. My heart beat stopped immediately it happened”. She said narrating the scene all over again.
“Yeah right”. I said amusedly.
“I’m d@mn serious”.
Suddenly a black sleek car stopped by our side right by the sidewalk and a muscular man stepped out.
“Is this one of your Dad’s chauffeur?”. Jessy whispered.
“Nope”.
The man walked over. “Miss Ashley Powers?”.
“Yeah?”.
He brought out an envelope. “Sir Roy said you should have this”.
“OMG!! Ashley! Its Jaden Roy”. Jessy shrieked.
“What’s in it?”. I asked taking the envelope.
“I prefer you see the contents yourself”. The man said entering into the car driving away.
“Open it”. Jessy said.
I ripped the envelope open. I brought out two flashy tickets.
I chuckled. “Two VIP tickets to Jaden Roy’s concert”.
Jessy took the tickets caressing it. “Is that all?”.
I slipped my fingers into the envelope and brought out two back-stage passes.
“This is so awesome”. Jessy said.
“You know, i did this for you”. I told her.
She hugged me. “I love you so much. You are now officially the bestest bestie friend ever”.
The envelope dropped and a note slipped out.
I picked it up.
~~The greatest feeling is to love and be loved in return. I hope you sort things with your crush, he might feel something for you also~~
I smiled.
“What’s he talking about?”. Jessy asked.
I looked at her.
She gasped. “You told him about Xander? That means .. You totally love Xander”.
I shrugged. “Maybe”.
“This is big news”. She said flagging down a cab.
We got in a d she kept on talking and talking. Mostly about Jaden Roy.
The cab stopped at my house.
I got out of the cab. “Lets do this sometime again”.
She giggled inside the cab. “Sure thing. Bestie”.
The cab drove away.
I got into my house running to the main house. I entered and headed to my room. I dropped my bag at the side of the door.
I removed my clothes and took a novel going to the bathroom.
I decided a long soak in the bath would help. I ran a bath adding a lot of bubbles before settling into the bathtub reading my novel as the water calmed me.
I was so engrossed in the novel that i didn’t hear the door open.
“Baby!! What are you doing in here?”.
I screamed and almost dropped my book into the water.
“Mum!! You scared me”.
She crossed her arms. “We were looking for you, how long have you been in here?”.
I raised an eyebrow. “We?”.
I heard Adrian’s voice. “Mum. Have you seen her?”.
“Yeah Baby. You can go back”. My Mum called out to him.
“You should get out. That water seems cold”. My Mum said before leaving.
I finished up in the bathroom and went into my room tying my towel. I sat on my bed and noticed the tray of food on my bedside table.
I smiled. Mum is so caring.

I came to school quite late because i woke up late. Walking through the hallways heading to my locker, i saw Sophie.
She was speaking with a girl with raven hair.
She was actually yelling at her.
Isn’t that Jessamyn? Ashley’s best friend?
“How can you step on me. The glasses on your eyes couldn’t help you see huh”. She yelled. “Can you even afford this shoes, you swine”.
Wow .. What a bad mouth.
What does Adrian even see in her.
“Sophie”. I called.
“Hi Xander”. She said smiling widely.
“What’s up”. I asked.
“This bitch stepped on my shoes which i’m sure will buy her whole clothes”.
“Jessamyn. You can go”.
“I was actually taking my books when i mistakenly stepped on her”. She said.
She has a sweet tiny voice.
“And why are you talking to him?”. Sophie barked.
She flinched. “I’m just gonna go”.
She walked away.
Sophie rolled her eyes.
I walked over to my locker with Sophie trailing behind me.
I turned to her. “Yeah?”.
“What class do you have now?”.
“I have Arts. You?”.
“English”.
I nodded and walked away.
I sighted Ashley with Jessamyn at her locker. They were both laughing about something.
I turned and saw J.R behind me.
“Were you staring at Ashley just now?”. He asked amusedly.
“I need your help”.
“With what?”.
“Just follow me”. I dragged J.R with me.
We stopped by their locker.
“Hi. Ashley”.
She turned and smiled. “Hey. Xander”.
“Umm. Jessamyn, J.R said he has something to tell you”.
“Wait__”.
I didn’t let J.R finish. I pushed him towards Jessamyn.
I quickly took Ashley’s hand leading her through the hallways.
She stopped. “Where are you taking me?”.
Well .. Audrey said gain her attention.
“I have a surprise for you”.
