~Ashley~
“So ..”. Jessy began. “I heard that you were just making out with Xander”.
She looked at me and wriggled her eyebrows in a suggestive way.
I spat out the drink that I was drinking.
“Where did you hear that?”.
“I overheard girls just talking about it. Apparently, one of the cheerleaders saw both of you”.
I threw my hands defeatedly in the air. “Oh great”.
“It has circulated around the school that you and Xander are a couple now since you guys made out”. She added.
Seriously?
You have got to be kidding me.
“What the h*ell”. I cussed.
She busted in laughter. “You should have seen your face right now”.
I frowned. “Ha ha. Very funny”.
“Comeon. Whats there if everyone knows you and Xander are dating”. She said. “After all, both of you look cute together”.
“Awww Thanks”. I cooed. “But no way, if Adrian finds out, Xander is gonna be dead”.
“He’s gonna find out sooner or later”.
“Yeah but not now”. I said. “By the way how did you know Xander and I k!ssed”.
She smirked. “I kinda spied on you guys when coming to the cafteria”.
I blushed.
“But seriously you have to remember that anything that happens with Xander will be all over the school”. Jessy reminded me. “Every single girl is in love with him”.
“Yeah .. Anyways, what about you, are you interested in anyone?”. I asked her.
She didn’t answer but turned bright-red.
“There is! Tell me! Who is he?”.
“Jaden Roy”. She squealed.
I rolled my eyes. “I never should have asked”.
She giggled at her phone.
I sighed. “What now?”.
“I can’t wait for his concert this weekend”. She sounded excited.
“Yeah right”.
“What happened to your face?”. She asked staring at me.
I touched my cheek. “Its just .. Just a bruise”.
“Maybe you should treat it”. Jessy suggested.
Immediately, a tray of food was plopped down on my table.
“Am i interrupting anything?”. Lily said sitting down.
“Mini crackers”. Jessy said taking it from the tray.
“Lover boy said i should give you this”. Lily said pushing the tray towards me.
I raised my eyebrows. “Lover boy?”.
“What she meant is that Xander said you should have this”. Audrey said sitting down.
I searched around the cafteria for Xander but there was no sight of him.
“She’s looking for Xander. Thats cute”. Audrey teased me.
“Ugh. It wanna make me barf”. Lily said pretentiously while Jessy laughed.
I glared at her.
“What? Is funny”. Jessy chuckled.
I rolled my eyes wondering where Xander was.

~Xander~
“So Adrian said you stay alone?”. Sophie asked battling her eyelashes.
G0sh!! She talks so much.
“Yeah sure”. I replied absent-mindly.
I could have been with Ashley at the cafteria but Adrian said he wanted to shoot some hoops. So we are right here at the basketball court watching him practice.
“So why don’t you play?”. Sophie asked shifting oddly close to me.
“I don’t know how to play”. I said simply.
“I could teach you”. She said running her fingers down my arm.
Is she fl!rting with me?
“No thanks”. I answered.
“Do you work out? Because you have fine muscles”. She said drawing invisible circles on my arms.
I removed her fingers. “Stop it”.
She winked at me. “We could work out some time”.
D@mn! She is definitely fl!rting with me.
I sighed. “Sophie. You have a boy-friend and he’s down there playing basket-ball”. I said referring to Adrian.
She pouted. “But you are way more handsome”.
“I have a girl-friend”. I said firmly.
“Is she prettier than me?”. She asked toying with her hair.
I ignored her.
Then Adrian came over. “Did you see me? I beat the high score”.
Sophie giggled. “You were awesome babe”.
Babe? Wasn’t she the same person that was fl!rting with me now?
Adrian pecked her cheeks. “I love you”.
“I love you more”. Sophie replied.
D@mmit!! She’s playing Adrian
And i never noticed all this while
“Come on. Lets go”. Adrian said.
“Xander and I were discussing something important. Let me just finish up”. She said sweetly to Adrian.
Adrian looked at me weirdly. “Huh sure”.
As soon as he left Sophie faced me.
“I’ll find out who your girl-friend is and trust me she’s not gonna like what I would do to her”.
She tried to come closer but I shifted backwards.
She blew me a kss. “Bye Xander”. She said and went off going after Adrian.

The bell rang signaling Lunch time over. We all went out of the Cafeteria.
“What do you have right now?”. I asked Jessy.
“All 12th graders have Gym class. Now”.
I stopped. “What?! How can Gym class be right after Lunch time?”.
“I’m with you on this one”. Lily said. “Do they want us to puke?”.
Audrey sighed. “Its just a period. Lets go change”.
We headed to the girls locker room where most of the girls were already changing.
I bumped into someone. “I’m sorry”.
Sophie pushed me. “You better watch your back”.
I scoffed. “Oh please”.
I went to go change.
I put on my gray racerbank tank top and some black volleyball shorts.
Audrey and Lily both wore black T-shirt but different shorts.
Jessy came out wearing a light blue tank top and black sweatpants.
“You do know you are gonna feel hot in those sweatpants right?”. I asked her.
“Yeah but I don’t really like showing my legs that much”. Jessy quietly whispered.
“Come on. Be comfortable in your body”. Audrey persuaded her.
She sighed. “Fine”.
I handed her an extra pair of shorts.
“Are you cr@zy? Everyone will laugh”. Jessy shrieked. “It fits you but not me”.
“Just put them on”. I suggested.
“Fine”. She said and changed.
“Wow .. You have an amazing figure”. Lily complimented her. “J.R is gonna fall for those legs”.
Jessy face turned bright red. “I .. I don’t .. don’t know wh.. what you are talking about”. She stuttered.
I quickly packed my hair up in a ponytail.
“Come on. Lets go to the field”. Audrey said.
We made our way to the tracks where students were already stretching.
I see Sophie and most of the cheerleaders standing up and reaching for their toes showing off their a$$es.
The guys were checking them out and hollering. The girls either winked or blew them a kss.
Lily pretended to gag while Audrey laughed mockingly.
A guy walked past whistling at Lily.
“Did he just do that? To me?”. Ly asked unsure.
Audrey crossed her arms. “Yep. You wanna teach a lesson”.
Lily folded her fists. “Lets go”.
They went after the guy.
I laughed watching them.
Jessy and I got closer to the group, then some of the guys kept wolf whistling.
“Oh Fck!”. I groaned.
Then the coach came over and blew a whistle.
“As you all know, we were gonna play baseball but the field is being lawn mowed”. Coach said.
Everyone groaned.
“So today, we are gonna play basketball. Its gonna be boys vs. girls, winners get a box of Pizza each”.
Everyone cheered.
“So head to the basketball court”. Coach Raymond yelled.
Everyone went in the direction of the basketball court.
“Hey Sis”. Adrian came over slinging his arm over my shoulders.
I groaned. “Let me guess. You wanna complain about something”. I said as we walked.
He chuckled. “Just wanted to make sure you are fine”.
“I’m good”. I replied. “Scoot and go meet your girl-friend”. I said with distaste.
“Why do you hate Sophie so much”. He asked concerned.
“Are you sure she’s not cheating on you?”. I asked.
“This Conservation is over”. He said walking away.
“Wait. Ian”. I called after him but he didn’t stop.
We got to the basketball court.
Jessy was excited a little and was even restless.
“You like basketball?”. I asked her.
“Is it that obvious?”. She whispered.
“Yeah”.
“Everyone in the court stand off sides”. Coach ordered.
We did like we were told.
“We are going right now. Alvarez, Hathaway, you are first”. Coach said.
“Um. Why are you not starting Alphabetically?”. Sophie asked.
“Because I feel like it. Now drop and give me 20”.
Sophie’s jaw dropped. I chuckled at her.
“Burns now”.
Sophie got on the floor and started doing some really bad push-ups. Which was really embarassing.
“I said Alvarez and Hathaway on court”. Coach ordered.
“Jessy go”. I whispered.
Jessy went on the court unsure of herself.
“Who’s last name is Alvarez?”. I asked no one in particular.
J.R went down on the court looking all confident.
The class started laughing quietly. They all thought J.R was gonna beat Jessy.
“Okay. First person to get the ball through the hoop two times wins”. Coach said. “You know the rules”.
They both nodded.
“Alright then. Begin”.
He threw the ball to Jessy who didn’t catch it. The class snickered and she ran after the ball.
“Looks like there won’tt be much of a game”. Someone muttered.
Jessy got into position and coach blew his whistle.
Jessy stood there awkardly and dribbled the ball. J.R easily stole the ball and shot it through the net.
It went through the net and the class cheered.
Jessy frowned and took another ball. This time, she ran past J.R dribbling him.
“Go Jessy”. I cheered.
She threw the ball and tripped on the floor. The ball flew and went into the net.
The whole class gasped while I cheered.
J.R and Jessy played for a while before Jessy got hold of the ball throwing it and it went through the hoop.
I smiled proudly.
I ran up to her hugging her.
I screamed. “You did it! You did it ! You beat him”.
She squealed excitedly. “Yep. I did it”.
J.R came over to us. “Hey. Chatterbox. Nice game”.
Jessy blushed. “Thanks”.
Coach blew his whistle. “Hathaway. You have a box of free Pizza”.
Jessy and I went back to the sides waiting for who Coach would call.
“Okay. Burns you can stop”. Coach said.
Sophie panted heavily going back to her squad. She didn’t even do anything.
“DaSilva and Powers get on the court”. Coach said.
What the h*ell!! Axel and I
“Don’t worry. Ashley. You got this”. Jessy encouraged me.
I got on the court nervously.
“DaSilva on the court. Now”. Coach said.
Axel came on the court frowning. “There’s no way i’m playing with her”.
Coach ignored him. “Either you play with her or you get kicked out of Football team”.
Axel sighed frustratingly. “Fine”.
I glanced at everyone watching. Ashley. You can do this.
I sighted Xander and he winked at me which made me smile.
“Lets do it. I wanna beat someone’s a$$”. Axel yelled.
I rolled my eyes.
Coach handed the ball to me. “I hope you are as good as Adrian”.
I took the ball. Ashley, you can do this.
Just beat Axel.
Coach immediately blew the whistle. “Start”.
