Everyone began chanting.

It seemed to encourage as i finally scored. Clapping and jubilation filled the court. A frown crept into Axel face as I smirked at him.
“You may have scored a point in this game but i scored a point with Sophie”.
Sh!t!! D@mn you.
I pushed him on the floor punching him. How dare he?
Someone immediately drew him back.
“Let me go. I’m gonna beat the fck outta him”. I growled.
“Both of you stop this”. Coach shouted.
I took my backpack from Audrey and stormed out of the basketball court.
I went into an empty class kicking the chairs and tables.
“Adrian!!”.
I turn to see Xander, Lily, J.R and Audrey.
“Why the heck are you acting this way?”. Xander asked.
“You know fighting is against coach rules”. Lily added.
“That motherfcker deserved it”. I shouted.
“Ian. Calm down”. Audrey said holding my palm.
I sighed. “I’m sorry i flared up”.
“What did Axel tell you that got you all angry?”. Audrey asked softly.
“None of your business”. I say harshly.
She frowned and moved away from me sitting on one of the desks.
“Maybe we should add Axel to the revenge plan”. Lily said mischievously.
“No!!”. I interjected. “First, Kathryn has to be humiliated”.
“Lily. Thats enough”. Xander said. “What Kathryn did to Ashley was bad, we know but__”.
I interrupted him. “What she did to my sister was unforgivable so she deserves whatever is coming to her”.
“Adrian__”.
I cut him off. “Don’t try to talk me out of this. I’ve made up my mind”.
The bell rang immediately. Next period.

~Closing time~
I walked out of the school heading to the driveway and met Sophie there.
“Hey babe”. I said pecking her cheeks.
I need to get to the bottom of this matter.
“Babe”.
“Yeah?”. She said smiling.
“Lets go on a date”. I told her.
“Sure”.

~Ashley~
I stood waiting for Adrian as he came over with Sophie.
“Finally! Lets go home”. I said exasperatedly.
“Umm actually. Xander will take you home, i have to go somewhere with Sophie”.
I rolled my eyes. “Fine”.
Ian kssed my cheeks. “I’ll come in early”.
I nodded going to Xander’s car. G0sh!! How’s the ride gonna be like? I mean, awkward right?
Xander gave Adrian the typical man hug-handshake thing and went over to the drivers side.
I got into the car while he entered and started it.
“So, where shall we go for lunch?”. He asked.
I raised my eyebrows. “Lunch? You are supposed to take me home”.
“Come on. Just grab lunch with me”. He looked at me pleadingly.
“Fine. What do you fancy?”.
He smirked. “You?”.
G0sh!! He’s cr@zy.
I crossed my arms. “Talking about lunch”.
He laughed. “How about a Chinese restaurant?”.
“You like that right?”. He asked glancing at me.
“Yeah. I love Chinese food”. I chirped happily.
Xander smiled and drove off finally stopping at a large restaurant. He took me in and we sat down in one of the booth chatting happily. I was surprised by the way we talked. Although, i had known him for years, we have never really spoken.
His leg brushed mine under the table and i smiled. I decided now was the time to sort it out.
“Xander. We need to talk about something”. I said quietly.
Jessy was right. I can’t let him slip outta my fingers.
He cocked his head and looked at me. “Yeah. What’s up?”.
“About today ..”. I started. “You said you like me”.
“Ashley. I can wait as long as you need. I want to be with you”. He looked me right in the eyes as he talked.
I didn’t see an ounce of doubt or trickery there and i felt hope building up inside me. Was he really that into me that he would wait for me?
“What if a random girl throws herself on you? Would you still wait for me?”. I asked skeptically.
He laughed. “You don’t trust me, do you?”.
I shrugged.
“I really love you Ashley. You send my mind and body in a frenzy, i always imagine you and I together”. He took a deep breath. “That was why i never had any girlfriends, when i’m with them, i always wish it was you. When they laugh or talk, i always imagine it to be you. You are the only one Ashley”.
OMG!! His speech was fucking adorable.
I didn’t even notice Xander has been in love with me all this while.
“Oh”. I muttered.
“Oh? Thats all you can say”. He chuckled.
I leaned across the table and reached for his hand which made him smile.
He just made a huge confession of how he feels towards me but what if he cheats? Well .. We are not even a couple yet. I don’t want to have another heartbreak.
“I like you”.
He raised his eyebrows. “Huh?”.
“I like you too. I’ve been trying to fight the feelings thinking it was mere attraction but i can’t because I like you”.
He chuckled. “You love me?”.
“Love is a strong word but still yes”.
His blue eyes lightened. “So you will be my girlfriend?”.
I nodded. “Yes”.
“Thanks”. He whispered kssing me quickly then he sat down back.
Ok!! I’m not used to this whole make-out session yet.
“We need to go! I have to tell Adrian what happened”. Xander frowned looking a little scared.
I flinched. “Are you sick? You wanna tell Adrian?”.
He nodded. “He knows i like you but_”.
I cut him off. “Wait!! Hold up. Adrian knows you like me?”.
“The last time i told him how i felt about you was in freshman year”.
“Oh”.
“He doesn’t know you like me so i need to talk to him about both of us actually dating”. He frowned as he spoke.
I imagined how it would be like. I’m sure Adrian would definitely kick Xander’s a$$.
“Xander, why don’t we tell him in about two weeks when we have a strong relationship. I mean, we don’t even know if its gonna work out?”. I ask with a shrug.
He looked a little scared. “You don’t think it would work out?”. His voice sounded hurt.
“I’m just looking out. I mean, what if you get tired of me”. I replied hating the hurt expression on Xander’s face.
“I promise i would never cheat on you ever. I’ve waited long for this chance; I’m not gonna screw it up”. He took my hand.
I could see the honesty in his eyes, i really believe he can’t cheat on me but he’s a boy after all.
“Lets just wait a while before telling Adrian. OK?”. I caressed his palm.
He smiled. “Sure. I need to go to the bathroom”. He walked off.
I winced. I really hurt his feelings saying that. Damn, i can be stupid sometimes. But on the bright side, Xander and I are officially in a relationship.
Someone cleared their throat next to me. I looked up to see the waiter standing with the check.
“Oh sorry. I didn’t realize you were there”. I muttered embarrassed.
“Well, your boyfriend said you should pay with the money in his wallet”.
The waiter handed me the receipt checking me out. He bent down next to me so we were of the same level.
“You have a beautiful face”. The waiter said as he put one hand at the back of my chair and one on the table so i was trapped.
My heart started to race. He was too close.
“Have you been here before?”. He asked staring at me intently.
“No … I’ve not been here”. I replied nervously.
“My name is Gerald”. He held out his hand for me to shake.
“So whats your name?”. He asked with a fl!rty smile.
“Her name’s touch her again and i’ll have to break your face”. Xander growled possessively.
