~Ashley~
“Do you think J.R might be keeping something from me?”. She asked all of a sudden.
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Why makes you say that?”.
“When he called, I heard Andrea Young voice in the background calling him baby and all of a sudden, he cut the call”.
I paused. “Are you sure? Maybe you heard wrong or something”.
“I’m definitely sure it was her”. She sighed. “I seriously don’t know whats going on right now”.
“Just calm down a bit okay”. I soothed her.
“Yeah sure sure. Are you ready?”.
I furrowed my eyebrows. “For what?”.
“The after party”. She said. “Hello, we need to shower then dress up and that takes a lot of time”.
“Okay fine lets go”. I said standing up.
We exited the hall and walked towards the parking lot. Cars were everywhere fully parked to the brim.
My driver suddenly drove the car to our side and we got in immediately. Soon we reached my house and we got in heading straight upstairs.
I flopped on the bed immediately. “I’m tired as fck”.
Jessy went to my wardrobe flipping through my clothes.
“What are you doing?”. I asked.
“Looking if you have a fancy cloth for the after party, you need to dress__”.
I cut her off. “Do you have what to wear?”.
“Yep, my dress is in there”. She pointed towards her bag.
“So why are you disturbing me? I can wear whatever I want”. I said tiredly.
“Ashley, you need to dress to impress”.
I groaned. “Who’s gonna be looking at me?”.
“Your boyfriend. Xander and maybe other hot celebrities that will be seen there”. She replied.
“Yeah yeah whatever. Can I just get some sleep?”.
“The after party is in an hour and maybe 30 minutes precisely so we need to be there in time”. She explained.
“Why? Is it because J.R is gonna be there?”. I teased her.
She blushed slightly. “Maybe”.
“Minutes ago, you were angry but now you are blushing over him. I don’t get you”.
“I wasn’t angry, i was just curious to why he was with Andrea Young but I guess he has an explanation for that at the after-party”.
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah yeah whatever”.
“Get up. Now”.
I sat up watching her dress, she put on a long plain blue straight gown and wore a red suit jacket over it then added a pair of heels.
“Don’t you think flats would be better?”. I suggested.
“What do you know?”.
“I do know that you are overdressing”. I teased her.
She scoffed. “Says the girl who thinks trousers and shorts are the best”.
I chuckled lightly. “Okay then. Fashion genie, select a cloth for me to wear”.
She walked to the wardrobe going through my clothes.
The dress was really elegant and looked fashionable on her.
“Jessy. You look great”. I complimented her.
“Thanks”. She mumbled still looking through my wardrobe.
“I mean, J.R is gonna fall literally when he sees you on that dress”. I added.
“Speaking of J.R, what do you think he’s gonna wear to the party?”. She asked.
I shrugged. “I don’t know. He’s not my boyfriend”.
“Well what do you think Xander is going to wear?”.
“Jessy. Why are you asking me? Just select any dress for me”. I replied.
She placed a white slim fitted dress on the bed and some pair of sparkling black heels on the tiled floor.
In an hour, we were dressed and Jessy had finished her touches of makeup. Well I only applied lipgloss.
We went downstairs and I was surprised to see my Mum all dressed up and garbed.
“Mum, you are here?”. I asked surprised.
She turned to me. “Oh I was waiting for you”.
“For me?”. I asked to be sure.
She nodded in response.
“Where are you going all dressed up?”. I asked staring at her.
“Well a business partner invited me to his son’s party and that son happens to be Jayden Roy”. She explained.
“But I thought the party was only for teenagers and his friends?”. I asked confused.
“Its like a formal party or something but don’t forget most of the media personality is going to be there”. Mum answered.
“Oh”.
“And you look beautiful by the way, Jessy”.
Jessy blushed. “Thank you ma’am”.
“So lets go”. My Mum took her car key and we followed.
We took the car and drove to Jayden Roy’s residence. There were checkpoints before we got to his main house.
“Fck!!”. Jessy looked around. “This is wow”.
Jessy was really correct. It was more like a large mansion and it was beautiful.
My Mum drove in and headed to the parking lot which was almost parked with cars. Jessy and I alighted from the car walking to the main door.
There were more securities around and Paparazzi kept on flashing cameras as we entered the mansion.
We entered the mansion and I glanced around. Wow!! Everything just seems wow.
Then a woman came closer hugging my Mum.
“Sasha”. She called. “How nice to see you”.
“Excuse me for a moment”. My Mum said and left with the woman.
“So what do we do?”. Jessy asked looking around.
“Go drink, perhaps thats what they usually do at parties”. I said.
“Hi ladies”.
We turned back to see J.R dressed in a black shirt whose top buttons were open and black trousers. He really looked charming and he wore a lot of accessories which I think they are really glittering.
“Hi”. Jessy said blushing.
“You look beautiful”. He told Jessy staring at her.
“And you also looked beautiful .. I mean handsome”. Jessy stuttered nervously.
J.R chuckled lightly while i bit my lip to hold the laughter.
“Can I talk to her?”. He asked me.
“Yeah sure. See you guys later”. I said and walked away glancing around.
I noticed the people present at the party were A-list celebrities and people in the industry.
A hand slanged around my shoulder and I knew it was Adrian immediately.
I turned and stared at him. He was wearing a light white shirt and black jeans.
I groaned. “Must we wear the same thing?”.
“White looks great on you. Sis”. He complimented me.
“Where’s Xander?”. I asked immediately.
“Your boyfriend is really kind of busy but he’s gonna show up”.
I looked around. “Where’s your date?”.
“She’s somewhere around here. I think”.
“Oh you mean Audrey, the girl you kssed”. I teased him.
He laughed lightly. “We are taking things slow for now”.
“Well I’m happy for .. “. I trailed off when I saw Lily and that guy kssing.
Adrian looked back then at me. “What are you staring at?”.
“Them. They just cant get enough of it”. I said.
“Oh you mean Lily and Luke? Its a surprise to me too”. Adrian said.
“I never thought Lily__”.
I was interrupted by a phone ringing.
Adrian brought out his phone and glanced at it. “Its someone important. I gotta take it”. He said and walked away.
Now I’m alone again.
I walked over to where the wine was hoping to take a drink. I noticed some guys staring at me and whispering.
Okay. Whats going on? Is something wrong with my dress?
I walked over to one of the waitress tapping her. I asked her for direction to one of the nearest restrooms and she gave me directions.
I followed her instructions and stepped into a large place. It was divided into cubicles which I presume are toilets.
There was big mirror there so I went over to it checking for any stains or tear but there was nothing.
You are just overreacting Ashley. Thats all. I turned on the faucet and splashed some water on my face before turning off the running water.
I heard someone clear their throat.
I looked up and glanced at the mirror.
What the fck!! Jayden Roy.
I turned back immediately. He was leaning on the wall looking stylishly like earlier today. He wore a black fancy shirt which was unbuttoned and classy black trousers.
He crossed his arms. “If it isn’t Ashley Powers”.
“What are you even doing here?”. I asked staring at him.
“Its my Party, Ashley, i can be anywhere I want”. He replied.
I noticed the clothes he wore were the same with J.R but this time his tattoo was visible and he wore his mask.
Could it be that? No no no, it cant be but what if?
“So have you seen him?”.
I raised an eyebrow. “See who?”.
“Your boyfriend. Alexander”.
I blushed slightly. “How do you know he’s my boyfriend?”.
“Wasn’t he the one you were talking about back in that restaurant? Golden Spade”.
“Are you not suppose to be attending to your guests?”. I avoided his question.
He sighed. “Ashley I need your help. Badly”.
“What do you mean?”.
“Promise me you will still help me despite whats gonna happen now”.
I nodded. “Yeah sure”.
“Here goes nothing”. He mumbled.
Then he did something unexpectedly. He removed his mask and Oh My Gosh.
“J.R?”. I whispered.
He looked different with the blond hair and green eyes. But the J.R i know has dark hair and dark brown eyes.
“I know you have a lot of questions right but I need you to help me with something”. He pleaded.
I stared at him still surprised. No wonder he had the same clothes he wore when he was J.R earlier. But I was still shocked.
“I need your help with Jessy”. He continued.
