“Eddy, eat fast or we are gonna be late,” Karan said
“This test awful,” he complained staring at her
“Sorry you have to manage it okay, I didn’t wake up on time to cook a better meal,” she replied
“When is mom coming back, I can’t keep eating this,” he added
“Soon, very soon she will be back, just eat or if you don’t like it you can leave it and eat in the cafa at school,” she replied
“What’s really happening in this house, first it was you and dad, second it’s mom you and dad, and now it everyone except me, what’s going on,” Eddy asked
“The only thing you should worry about right now is how to improve in your studies cos mom is gonna be really mad if she see all those C. E. B in your test, and homework,” she replied
“Em… Is there any food for me?” Olivia asked gently
Karan ignored her and Carried their backpacks
“Let’s go, Eddy,” she said going out from the house
“Karan she’s tiny, are you gonna keep ignoring her like that, what if she falls sick? She don’t even eat good food,” Eddy said looking at the pitiful Olivia
“I don’t want to talk about this,” she replied
Olivia on the other side just watch them leave as guilt filled her mind
She went over to the pot and find out that she left food for her, she manage to eat a little, it’s been real hard for her the past three days

SOMEWHERE IN TEXAS*
Mr brown walked into an office and the man who seem to be his boss look up with a big smile
“You really did well Brown, with your performance our company have improve,” the man said
“It’s a good thing sir,” he replied
“We will talk about your promotion when we get back for now there is another project I want you to work on,” the man said
“Actually sir there is something I want to tell you,” Mr Brown said
“Alright,” the man replied
“I was thinking if anyone could replace my position for a couple of weeks or days, I need to go see my family, I haven’t heard from them since I came here,” he said gently
“Mr Brown did you have any idea of what you’re asking for? You’re a good programer I get it but you can’t leave at a time like this, we understand that you have a family and we all does but we can’t give you what you’re for,” the man replied
“Sir I think you don’t understand what am saying so I will explain it briefly,” he said
“Oh, really?” The man asked
“Yes, my wife usually calls me 3 times daily to remind me of the things I need to do for my health, but she haven’t done that since I came here, I have been trying to reach them but none of my kids line is connecting……”
“Hold on Mr Brown….. You’re not the only person that has a wife who calls him 3 times or twice daily, some of us here does and….”
“Sir this is my family we are talking about here, and am not having a good feeling about it especially my wife, I think something is wrong somewhere,” He cut in
“Mr Brown we can’t grant that permission,” the man said
Mr brown nodded and gently placed a letter on his desk
“I quit,” he said going out
“Mr Brown, just because you’re a good programer doesn’t mean you can do what ever you want, you’re fired,” the man yelled
“Too bad I already quite,” Mr Brown said and walk out

Karan walked into the music class and many students was waiting for her already
“Wait are you the teachers ads,”Ben asked
“No, am your music teacher,” she replied
Ben laughed
“That’s how it started in the porn I watched last night,” he joked
Everyone started laughing
Misogyny, how refreshing of you work on a Pocahontas joke you’ll h!t the trifecta,” She said with he hands on the table
“Now that you’ve mention it,” he replied with a smirk
“Can you tell me the definition of power Ben?” She asked staring at him
He was silent
“It’s the ability to direct or influence another’s behavior or curse of an events…That’s what I have,” she said boldly
Everyone was silent
“I can remove you from this class or fail you, or I can report you to the Dan for violating the students code of conduct, this are all things that can alter the cvrse of your life, that’s power and you don’t have any,” She added staring directly into his eyes.
