You know the liver is an organ that sits under the rib cage on the right side of the abdomen, it is essential for digesting food and getting rid of toxic substances in the body, because of the large blood vessels in the liver, any injury to the liver especially injuries involving the blood vessels results in massive bleeding which leads to hypovolemic shock, a situation in which a decrease in the blood volume occurs leading to a decrease in blood supply to organs in the body, thereby causing them to stop functioning, eventually, this situation could lead to death.
This is exactly what happened in Mr. Balogun’s case.” the coroner explained. “But you know the interesting thing?” the coroner asked, “what?” the DPO questioned, a piece of jewelry was found at the scene of the murder, we found it entangled with one of the cufflinks on Mr. Balogun’s shirt sleeves ” the coroner explained, “What’s the significance of the Jewelry?” the DPO asked, ” from our investigations, we could tell that Mr. Balogun fought to save himself from the murderer, there was clearly a struggle, hence his torn clothes; we suspect it was during this struggle that the piece of jewelry broke off the owner’s neck and got caught on one of Mr Balogun’s cufflinks.” the coroner explained further,“So are you saying whoever murdered him was probably wearing the jewelry?” the DPO asked, “exactly!” the coroner replied, “it gets even more interesting, the piece of jewelry is a gold necklace” the coroner said, “ok, what’s so interesting about that?” the DPO asked looking confused, “it has a heart shaped pendant with the name LOLA written on it”
