HARRY’S POV
I picked up my phone and tried to call Sarah’s mother, and luckily for me she picked up.
? Hi Ma’am.
? Hi Harry, how are you doing?
? Fine Ma’am. *anxiously*
? And Sarah?
? That is why I called. To ask if she is with you.
? Sarah? With me? Not at all. Did she tell you she was coming here?
? No Ma’am. We had a misunderstanding, and she moved out.
? Misunderstanding?
? Yes Ma’am. It is really complicated and I know she is so vexed with me, but I have an explanation for it.
? Wow, am so sorry. When I hear from her I will let you know. You can call any of her friends.
? Okay. Thank you so much.
I hung up the call and fell back to the ground in tears.
“Sarah I am sorry.” I said weakly.
There was a knock on the door and I sprang to my feet in haste hoping it is Sarah.
I opened up and I saw Piper beaming widely but when she saw my face. She became teary immediately.
“Harry.” She called hugging my legs.
“Piper.” I called in tears bending down to hug her properly.
“Why are you crying?” She asked looking into my eyes.
I cleaned my face and we both walked to the living room.
“Harry.” She called again, and I couldn’t even hold the tears that rolled down my face.
“She left me Piper. Sarah left me.” I said and she moved close to me hugging me tight.
“How? What happened?” She asked tearily.
“You can’t understand Piper, but I swear it wasn’t tensional.” I said shaking my head.
“Have you called her?” She asked.
“I did. But it isn’t going through, I love her so much Piper.” I said weeping.
“She will come back okay?” She said using her little palm to clean off the tears on my face.
“I hope so, she is so mad at me.” I said looking at her.
“I will talk to her.” She said boldly.
“How?” I asked.
“Don’t worry Harry. I will talk to her.” She said.
“I pray she listens to you if at all you see her.” I said sadly.
“She will Harry. She loves me.” She said and I nodded.
“She hates me now.” I added weakly.
“She isn’t. She is just hurt.” She said and I nodded.
“Come here.” I said opening my arms for her.
She came into my arms and I hugged her really tight.
“You miss her right?” She asked.
“Badly Piper, Badly.” I replied resting my head on her small shoulders, and I began to feel sleepy.
? PIPER’S POV ?
Harry fell asleep right on my shoulders and i laid his head gently on the tiles. If I had the strength I would have carried him to the room.
I took his phone and looked for Mother’s number. I saw it and dialed it walking far away from where he laid.
? Mama
? Yes Piper.
? Please can you come pick me?
? Why? What of Harry?
? He is tired and sleepy. And I need to see Bryan.
? Piper *tiredly*
? Please Mama, it is important.
? Important?
? Yes mama. Please. I love you.
? Okay fine.
? Thank you! *happily*
I hung up and sat on the couch waiting patiently for mother, and then start executing my plans.
The sound of a car horn can from outside and I knew mother was around.
I ran to the door after taking a last look at Harry who was fast asleep. I got out and rushed into Mother’s car.
“Piper what is going on?” Mother asked narrowing her eyes at me.
“I am in for an investigation, when the result is out I will let you know.” I said looking serious making her laugh.
“Detective Piper.” She said igniting the car.
We drove off to Bryan’s house while I kept thinking about what Harry told me.
“What could he have done?”
“Why would Sarah be so angry to the extent of leaving the house?”
