Bonnie’s Pov:
“D@mn it! What do you mean you couldn’t shoot him?” I asked angrily on the phone.
“I’m sorry, ma’am; but I couldn’t get clear shot at him. He was with his wife and if I had pulled the trigger, there’s a great possibility she’d have been hit” the animal replied on the phone.
“Well, and so f**king what? You should’ve done away with her as well. I don’t give a damn. The most important thing was killing Ryan!” I retorted.
“I’m sorry, ma’am…”
“Well, you should be sorry for your worthless self. I heard you guys were professionals, but you turned out to be completely useless” I growled and he kept mute.
“Listen to me; you better find a way to fix this. I paid you awesomely for this and I want it done. Get Ryan killed!”
“Yes ma’am” he replied and i ended the call.
Go$h! Annoying things.
Just a simple task – a simple task, yet they couldn’t accomplish it.
I want Ryan dead at all cost. I need to take that pride away from his mother. I need her to feel the pains of not having a son – just like she made my mother feel.
And I’m going to accomplish it at all cost.

Bethel’s Pov:
#Monday_morning.
I woke up and did the normal routine – bath, dress up for school and go downstairs for breakfast.
As usual, everybody was already seated there, eating. It seems I’m always the last person to show up.
“Good morning mum” I greeted Ryan’s mum as I took a seat.
At least, today, I made a difference. I greeted her before she called me.
“Oh! Bethel, how’re you doing darling?’ She beamed.
“I’m fine mum..thanks” I smiled and awaited the maids to serve my meal.
Ryan was sitting next to her and just focused on his meal.

Without hesitant, I started eating and in a while, I was done.
“I’ll be on my way now” I said, referring to no one in particular as I stood up with my bag.
“Okay dear. Take care” Ryan’s mum – as expected – replied.
“Hold on” Ryan suddenly said, making me stop.
He didn’t say anything as he took a napkin from the table and cleaned his pink lips with it.
“Come on” he said and started walking ahead of me and I slowly followed him behind, not having a clue of what was going on.
We got outside to the parking lot and his guards opened one of his jeep for him before we got there.
“I’ll drop you off at school – before proceeding to my meeting” he said and entered the car, leaving me a bit stunned.
Huh? He…wants to drop me off at school?
For a moment I stopped walking as the thought flitted through my mind.
Then, I shook it off and got into the car as well, sitting next to him and in no time, we were on the road.
“Thanks” I said lowly and all he did was nod.
Oops! I can’t believe Ryan’s giving me a ride to school. I mean, who would’ve thought?

The ride was long and sweet and finally, we drove into the massive school building.
The window of the car was transparent and I guess the students could see clearly into it, cause I guess that explains why they all started staring keenly at us.
“Thank you” I said to Ryan again as his guards opened the door for me.
“You’re welcome” this time around he replied and I smiled and stepped out of the car.
Holy Molly!
They were taking pictures of us – almost all the students around.
What the heck?
Ryan’s cars started driving out and I lowered my head and started approaching the building.
I’m really not used to this – I’m not a people person. I usually get nervous when people focus their eyes on.me this way.
?Oh my God! Did you see that?
I over heard them talking.
?Ryan dropped her off at school today.
?Oh, my gee! She’s so lucky!
How do I get to class today?
Thank goodness! Nicole showed up.
Hah! Perfect.
“Bethel!” she called ecstatically as she stood in front of me.
“Hi” I replied and tucked my hair behind my ear.
“Oh, my! Bethel, did I just see correctly? Did…Did Ryan really drop you off?”
She beamed and I couldn’t help but feel flushed.
“Oh my gee! Someone’s becoming a celebrity. I’m so happy for you, B” she said ecstatically and I just smiled.
Go$h! I was blushing from all round.
“Come with me; I need to get something from the bookstore”.
“Okay” I replied and started walking along with her.
At least now, I could walk comfortably.
“So. Tell me, Bethel – how did it happen? How did you and Ryan make up?’ She asked along the way and I took out time to give her a brief details of it.
“Wow! That’s really incredible, you know? I’m so happy for you guys. At least now, you two can have a perfect valentine tomorrow” she said and my eyes beamed.
Oh, valentine!
“Valentine is tomorrow?” I asked and she scrawled her eyes at me.
“Of course, Bethel. Don’t tell me you forgot. Tomorrow’s couple days. Hm. Too bad I don’t have a boyfriend” she said wistfully and I nudged her.
“Will you snap out of it? What do you need a boyfriend for?’ I asked and she laughed.
“Oh, really? So, because you’re married, you don’t see the need for a boyfriend anymore right? Says a married lady who was caught kssing her ex boyfriend few days ago” she teased and I gasped and tried hitting her, but she ran away.
“You’re so annoying – you know that?” I grinned playfully.
By that time, we had gotten to the bookstore and we both walked in together.
But come to think of it; what would tomorrow be like?. I mean valentine.
You know, it was going to be my first valentine with my…husband.
Nicole quickly got the book she wanted and we left afterwards.
As soon as we got outside, we saw something…crazy.
It was Blair – taking selfies in front of a flashy car.
Wow!
That car was…killing!
It was super cool.
What the he¢k?
She giggled happily and continued taking pictures of herself.
“Hm. Cr@zy a$s” Nicole said, standard beside me.
“That’s Bugatti. And her father just acquired it recently. Its one of the latest models and quite expensive, you know? According to what I heard, only few important people in the country are in possession of it.'”

“Hm. So, why’s she flaunting herself over it?” I asked, still staring at Blair.
“Well, she feels she’s lucky enough to have a father who owns a Bugatti” Nicole replied with a shrug.
Suddenly, her eyes ran into mine.
“Bethel!” She called in a blaring voice from where she stood by the car.
“Oh, dear; come and have a selfie with I and my baby” she said with a haughty laugh.
Geez!
Then, she turned and faced the window of the car
“Bye bye, dad” she waved at the person in the car and almost immediately, the driver took off.
Hold on! Was her father in that car?
And he actually sat and waited for her to display all that madness?
“Come on, Bethel; let’s go” Nicole said and tapped me out we started walking together.
But the bitchy Blair came running towards us.
“Hey sweetheart” she called as she finally caught up with her.
“I’m not in the mood to exchange words with kids, Blair” I said and she laughed.
“Come on, bae. Don’t tell me you’re mad at me because of my new car” she blurted.
“Point of correction, it isn’t your car. Its your dad’s car. And there are latest models apart from it” I replied.
“Yeah – my dad’s car” she rolled her eyes.
“But he’s planning on buying the most expensive model which is Bugatti Divo”. She added.
“Oh! So, you’re aware there’s a better model? Yet, you were bragging all along? To me, its old fashioned” I said.
“Oh! Please, Bethel. Even Ryan doesn’t have a Bugatti” she rolled her eyes and walked away.
I scoffed and glared at her.
“Geez! That lady’s something else. It seems she doesn’t realize Ryan is capable of buying her with just the shoes he wears” Nicole said as soon as she left.
I shook my head and we continued walking to class.
Still walking, I saw someone – Jackson – approaching where Nicole and I were.
Hold on; Jackson????
“Is that?…” Nicole flinched but didn’t complete her statement.
What is he doing here?
We stopped walking and just watched him.
“Come on, Bethel; let’s go” Nicole whispered to me as he got close.
I dallied a little.
“Don’t worry, Nic; I’ll handle this. You can go ahead” I told her and at that point, Jackson got to where we were and stood in front of us.
Nicole hesitated a little before walking away.
“Bethel…”
“What’re you doing here?” I cut him off, not rudely tho.
He sighed and placed his both hands into his trouser pockets.
“I…came over to fix something here and coincidentally, I bumped into you”. He replied and I scoffed at it.
“Coincidentally?” I asked.
“Well, I really wanted to see you. I mean, what happened? You stopped taking my calls”
“Well, I’m sorry Jackson; but you can’t blame me for that. You caused it”
“Come on, Bethel; I’m sorry”.
“And I think your apology is coming a bit late. Please, Jackson; I respect what we shared in the past. But now, I’m married and have an obligation. What you did almost created a rift between Ryan and I, but luckily, he’s been able to get over it.
“He wants me to stay away from you, Jackson, and I have to obey him. That’s why I’m telling you, from now on, I don’t wanna see you anymore, don’t try calling me anymore. Just stay away from me – far away – and find yourself another hook”
“Bethel…”
“You told me you wanted us to be just friends, yet you almost created a problem between me and my husband. You jeopardised that.
“So, from now on, you’re no longer a friend to me; you’re just someone from my past” I chided and walked away, leaving him in shock.
