Bethel’s Pov:
School was kinda of boring that morning until lunch time when me and Nicole and the newbie – Shirley – decided to go to the cafe together.
We ordered for some foods and sat on a table to eat.
“So Bethel, what’s the valentine gonna look like?” Shirley asked, making me surprised.
Huh?
“I…don’t know. why asking?” I replied and asked and she chuckled.
“Nothing really; just thinking. It must be really fun with Mr Popular around, right?” She asked and I scoffed.
“Are you also a crusher?” Nicole asked, nibbling on a plantain.
Shirley laughed.
“Well, of course. No offense – tho – but every lady is crushing on Ryan right? And I happen to be a lady as well.
“You just have to be careful, Bethel. There are lots of girls out there who wanna be with him and who will stop at nothing till they get him” she enthused.
“And are you one of them?” Nicole asked and she laughed again.
“Please, darling; don’t quote me wrong. I’m just a fan” .
Not long after, Kyle showed up, holding a drink and pack of cookies.
“Hey, can I join you?” He asked and Nicole and I exchanged quick glances at each other.
“This guy.- he looks like he snobs; but in reality, He’s very free and friendly.
“Yeah – sure, cutie” Nicole replied excitedly and he took the vacant seat next to her.
“Hi. I’m Shirley and you?” The Shirley girl asked as she brought out her hand for a handshake.
“Kyle” he replied casually and took in a piece of cookie – ignoring the handshake.
Ouch.
“Okay…kyle” she said and slowly brought down her hand.
Nicole sniggered.
“So, you’re the braniac, huh? I’ve heard alot about you” she further said, trying to strike a conversation.
“Oh! Well, sorry but I haven’t heard anything about you” he replied and I almost laughed.
Okay; now I get.
The rumours are true. He is snobbish – and arrogant too. But, how come he’s being friendly with me?
“But, how do you manage to do it, Kyle? I mean, you’re so good at practically all the subjects” Nicole said and he faked a smile.
“Well, let’s just call it luck” he shrugged.
“I wish I was perfect in Maths like you are” I said wistfully and his eyes beamed.
“Well, I can teach you if you’re interested” he replied.
“You…you will? Please, I’m willing to learn. And considering the fact that our test is around the corner, I feel stuck” I said.
“That won’t be a problem anymore. We can study after school hours”.
“Oh, my God! Thank you so much. We can start tomorrow, then”.
“And what about me? I also want to learn” the Shirley girl chipped in.
“Sorry, but I can only entertain one student at a time” he replied brusquely and we continued eating, bringing up little chats along the way.

After a few more hours and lectures, the school finally came to a close and that was a huge relief to me cause I couldn’t wait to get home and rest.
And ouch! We were having marriage classes today.
Nicole accompanied me as usual to where my ride was while Shirley also came along with us.
“Oh,my Goddddd” Nicole suddenly shrieked, looking into her phone.
What the heck?
“What’s wrong, Nicole?” I asked, alarmed and she showed her phone to me.
“Isn’t this just adorable?” She squeaked and I looked into the phone.
Oh!
They were pictures of me coming out of Ryan’s car this morning when he had come to drop me off at school.
Oh, my God! It was all over the net. And it was tagged:

Geez!
I couldn’t help but smile.
“You’re so lucky, girlfriend!” She beamed and hugged me.
“Let me have a look” Shirley said and collected the phone from me.
“Oh! I wish I were in your shoes, Bethel” Nicole said wistfully and I glared at her and she laughed.
“Chill, Bethel. I don’t plan on being a second wife, okay? Its just a wish. I’m happy for you” she said and hugged me again and I smiled.
Then Shirley returned the phone to her without saying a word.
“Um…I need to go now. So, bye” she said and left immediately, even before we waved Back at her.
“Huh? What’s wrong with her?” Nicole asked as she walked away.
I just shrugged and Nicole and I continued walking.
“Oh, My God!” She gasped this time around, looking into the phone and I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, what is it again?” I asked and she showed the phone to me.
“There’s a valentine concert holding at City’s fame tomorrow. And Ryan’s one of the invited guests” she said as I looked into the phone with surprise, going through the news.

“Oh! Bethel, what will you do? If Ryan goes to the concert, then he won’t have time to take you out for Val tomorrow” she said pitifully and I feebly returned the phone to her, not able.to say a word.
Oh, God! But that’s correct. If he goes to the concert, he wouldn’t be able to treat me for val.
“And the concert seems important” Nicole further said, still going through the news.
“Its being hosted by DH Entertainment. I’m not sure it’s something he can miss”.
“Whatever” I muttered, trying to hide my mood from her.
I didn’t want her to know I was hurting.
“Anyway, things might change” she shrugged and we finally got to where my car was.
“Alright,Nicole. See you tomorrow” I said.
“Bye girlfriend” she replied and walked away while I entered into my car.
Shirley’s Pov:
I felt so bittered and pained.
Seeing Ryan and Bethel together was tearing me apart and I don’t think I can take it anymore.
Ryan’s meant to be mine. I was so close to getting him, but she showed up and ruined everything!
No; I’m not gonna let her waste all my plans and efforts. I’m not gonna let her get in the way of me being with Ryan. He’s mine and mine alone!
I got to the road and waited for a cab. So many angry thoughts kept hitting at me.
While waiting, I spotted someone familiar, coming out of a car.
I gasped immediately and opened my eyes wide in shock as I quickly recognized him
Of course!
Oh my God!
I ran and hid behind a corner immediately.
Fear gripped me.
What the he€k???
What’s he doing here?? I…I thought he was in Korea???
When did he return to the states?
Oh, my God! No!
He can’t be here!!!
