LATER THAT DAY…
PAT’S RESTAURANT AND BAKERY
The restaurant was already empty since it was already late and they were ready to go home. Elena entered with Lucas and Annabella, making up her mind to show her parents the real her.
“I’m sorry, Miss but we’ve closed for today.” Mr Pat said.
“Seriously dad, you can’t recognize your own daughter?” Elena asked in a shaky voice.
Mr Pat was confused. Evie came out and met them while Quinn went to pull out the sign that read ‘Closed’ because she already knew what Elena was up to.
“Elena, you’re welcome. Oh, I’m sorry but we’ve closed for today.” Evie said and smiled at her.
“You too, mum. You couldn’t recognise me either, your own daughter!” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“What are you talking about?” Evie asked.
“It’s so sad. It wasn’t hard for Quinn to find out but it hurts when I see that my own parents couldn’t recognise me.” Elena said.
“Are you…” Evie gasped and trailed off.
Elena put her hands on her head, and removed her mask. Evie almost collapsed but Mr Pat supported her.
“Noel, is this really you?” She asked.
“It’s me, mum.” She said.
Mr Pat’s grip on Evie loosened. She ran and hugged Noel, crying profusely. “I thought that you were dead. Why didn’t you come to see me all these while? You told me that you’re the daughter of the Wilson’s.” Evie said while crying.
Mr Pat hugged her too. Quinn just smiled and watched them. “I thought I’d never see this day.” She burst into tears while Annabella comforted her.
Evie was so overjoyed. It felt too good to be true. She didn’t want to let go because she thought her daughter would disappear again. It was like a dream that she never wanted to wake up from.
After the whole hugging session, they all sat down.
“Now, tell me why you didn’t come home and is pretending to be someone else! Do you know how much I suffered to bear the loss? Start talking.” Evie said.
“It’s a long story, mum.” Elena said.
“We have all the time to listen to it.” Mr Pat said and Elena sighed before starting her narration.

GRAY’S OFFICE.
“What? Can’t you look me in the eyes now?” Elena teased Gray who was avoiding eye contacts with her.
“No, it’s not that.” He answered.
“Then, what is it?” She asked.
“Nothing.”
“If it’s nothing, then look at me and talk to me.” She said.
“What am I supposed to say to you?” He asked calmly.
“Something you tell someone that you love so much.” She said and he chuckled.
“I love you,” He said and she blushed. “Why are you blushing? I said exactly what I was supposed to.” He teased.
“It was just so sudden that I couldn’t take it in.” She said and bit her lips.
“Well, return it to me then.” He said and she laughed.
“I love you.” She said and he smiled.
Few minutes later, Gray remembered something.
“What about the stuff you’re supposed to show me today?” He asked.
“I want Camille to be here first.” She said.
Gray just looked at her. As if on cue, Camille entered the office with Levi and with Zara holding the baby.
“I have come to complain Gray.” She said.
“Is that why you barged into my office with these people?” Gray asked pointing to Levi and Zara.
“Yeah. I have decided that enough is enough! You don’t come to check on your child, you don’t ask of him either. You don’t even know his name or what he eats.
Are you this wicked? After defiling me and getting me pregnant, is this fair?” Camille asked and Elena scoffed.
Elena stood up from her seat and stood in front of Gray’s desk. “Is it fair to force him into taking responsibility for a child that doesn’t belong to him?” Elena asked and Camille gasped.
“What are you talking about?” Gray asked.
Elena went to her drawer and brought out some files. She dropped them on Gray’s table. “Open and go through them.” She said.
Gray opened them and his eyes widened at what he saw. He saw the pictures of Camille and Chris, then the DNA test results. He stood up angrily and slammed his hands on the table.
“You were tricking me all this while!” Gray snapped and Camille flinched.
“It isn’t what you think.” Camille said.
“It is exactly what he is seeing there. You never loved Gray from the onset, all you wanted was his money.
You thought that, the business deal in Korea would be better than the money you would loot from Gray, so you ditched your wedding and lied that you were kidnapped.” Elena said.
“No! No! Levi! Tell them that it wasn’t true.” Camille said.
Levi sighed. “It’s true. I helped her in Korea before she sent me back to America and picked Julie.” Levi said and Camille sIapped him.
“You betrayal!” She yelled.
Gray was shocked. “I am such a fool!” He h!t his head.
“I didn’t do anything!” Camille said.
“Don’t get scared yet, Camille. More shuckers are coming your way. This is what you get for trying to kill two days ago.” Elena said.
The door opened and Raymond came in with Chris, Lucas, Annabella, Silvia and Julie. Camille’s eyes widened when she saw Julie.
“You’re… You’re alive?” She asked.
“What were you expecting?” Julie rolled her eyes.
Camille held her head in confusion and shock. She was done for! Chris went and collected the baby from Zara. “I finally get to see my son.” Chris said.
“So, nothing happened between us that night? And you lied to me!” Gray yelled at Camille.
“She lied to all of us and caused us severe pains. Listen to this,” Elena said and brought out her phone. She played the recording Levi sent her.
‘”Oh Elena! I will make sure I kll you for messing with me. Yes, you’re smarter and more agile than Noel but that won’t stop me from ending your stay on planet Earth.

Elena played other records of her admitting to her eviI deeds and they gasped.
Gray held his chest and walked towards her but Raymond stopped him. “Allow me to deal with her, she klled Noel!” Gray yelled.
Camille turned to face Levi. “You betrayed me, I trusted you!” She yelled.
“I couldn’t bear you taking innocent lives.” Levi said.
Camille held her head. “You!” She walked towards Elena and wanted to sIap her but Elena held her hand and gave her two dirty sIaps sending her to the floor.
“I won’t let you lay your filthy hands on me again. I won’t make the same mistake twice, Camille.
Do you really think you can get away with everything you’ve done? You tried to kll me, you threatened Scarlet, you blackmailed Gray and expect me to keep quiet? You can’t kill me twice.” Elena said.
“What is she talking about?” Levi asked.
Elena looked at Gray. “Gray, I hope you’ll forgive me for hiding this from you.” She said.
Gray came to stand in front of her. “What did you do?” He asked.
“I survived.” She said.
“Survived what?” He asked.
“I survived the fall from the ¢liff. I know I can’t swim and the wounds on my chest and hand made it harder.
I could see your pain that day but there was nothing I could do. I survived the brink of death.” She said.
Gray gasped and moved took a step back.
She removed her mask, and everywhere became as silent as a graveyard. Gray cleaned his eyes severally.
“Noel.”
