Chapter 101
She removed her mask, and everywhere became as silent as a graveyard. Gray cleaned his eyes severally.
“Noel.” He called.
“Yeah, it’s me.” She said.
“No! It can’t be.” Camille said as she stared in shock.
“You were Elena all this while?” Gray asked as tears rolled down his cheeks.
“Yes. I came back for revenge, that’s why I hid my identity. Now, that I am almost done, what’s the use of hiding it from you, Gray.” Noel said.
“Why? Why didn’t you tell me? I suffered for a year!” Gray said.
“I suffered too!” She snapped. “I was in coma for a whole year, I couldn’t see you, touch you, feel you or even talk to you. Do you know how much it hurts?
It hurts even more when I saw you but couldn’t show you who I am. My chance of survival was 30%. The only reason I didn’t die was because of you.” She said and Gray hugged her.
“Gosh! I feel so useless and f©olish.” Gray said.
“It’s okay, everything is about to return to the way it was.” Noel said.
“Hey! I saw some people entering_” Austin paused as he entered with Scarlet.
“What’s going on here?” Scarlet asked.
Noel disengaged from the hug and Scarlet gasped.
“Noel… You’re alive!” She screamed and ran to hug her.
“How is this possible?” Austin asked as he hugged her too and Noel glared at Camille.
“No! I can’t let this happen!” Camille wanted to stand up but Levi pinned her down.
“Call the police.” Noel said.
Few minutes later, the police officers came and took Camille with them.
They were about arresting Levi as well but Noel stopped them. He was going to serve as a witness to all the crimes Camille committed.
They all went to a restaurant and Noel told them all that happened.
“You’re really a strong person, Noel. I can’t believe you still came back and made him fall in love with you all over again. I feel like I’m in a romantic movie right now.” Scarlet said.
“It wasn’t easy acting fierce and strong though but I had two besties by my side.” Noel said.
“Thanks Lucas, for saving her.” Gray smiled.
“You’re welcome. She is lucky to have you as you are lucky to have her as well.” Lucas said.
“And we’re lucky to be together!” Julie said and held his hand.
“What?” Lucas was confused.
“Stop acting like you don’t anything right now, okay? I heard what you said the other day.” Julie said and they laughed.
“No… I_”
“Don’t worry, I understand that you don’t want to say it in the presence of everybody, probably because you’re shy.” Julie said.
“You’re getting it all wrong here.” Lucas tried to defend himself but it seemed that Julie wasn’t in the mood for any explanation. He sighed and smiled.
“Why are your ears red, big brother?” Annabella teased.
“What the he¢k!” He snapped and ran away from them.
They laughed, and continued gisting and eating.
Later in the day, Noel and Gray were left alone. They sat on a swing, with her head on his chest while he patted her head.
“Today is the greatest day of my life. I feel like I’m in a dream, if it’s a dream, I never want to wake up.” Gray said and Noel laughed.
“I should be angry at you, you know.” She said and sat up then faced him.
“Why?” He asked.
“You cheated on me!” She snapped.
“I don’t understand what you’re saying. How did I cheat on you?” He asked, looking so innocent that she almost burst into laughter.
“How could you fall in love with another lady?” She asked.
“But that lady was you.” He defended.
“You didn’t know that,” She smacked his chest. “You really have a soft heart that could fall in love with anybody, don’t you?” She asked.
Gray embraced her. “I fell in love with her because I saw my Noel in every of her behavior.
I always felt like you were the one but she was a bada$s who didn’t tolerate n©nsense from anyone, be it her boss or colleagues.
I loved her but it was because she was like you, she made me smile when I was hurt, she always kept me on my toes. I’m glad that she turned out to be you.” Gray said and she smiled.
“My joy knows no bounds now. I feel like I’m being born again, I also feel like this is the first time I’m meeting you. I love you.” She said.
“I love you more.” He said and before she could say anything, he kssed her. She didn’t hesitate to kss him back.
She missed his lips so much. Yeah, she kssed him as Elena once but those weren’t her lips, now he is hers and no one can separate them again.

THE OFFICE
The employees were in an uproar after they discovered that the fierce and merciless Elena was their boss’s fiancée who was reported to have died a year and few months ago.
“OMG! I saw her but I still can’t believe it.”
“Do you see how beautiful she has become? She was even prettier than before.”
“Are you talking about her beauty now? Shouldn’t we be worried about our jobs?”
“You’re right. I am so scared right now! We didn’t treat her well, Ah! We’re done for.”
“Thank God, I didn’t say anything to her. I have always minded my business.
Those of you that glared at her whenever she passes by and pick up fights with her, get ready to lose your jobs.”
“Why are you saying that? Do you think it’s easy to find a company that pays better than this?”
“What a small world we live in!”
…
“I was so shocked that I almost fainted, Reina.” Raymond said.
“This is so unbelievable. Who would have known that the Elena the whole employees feared was our own Noel. I’m so glad I didn’t get on her bad side.” Reina said.
“Same here.” Raymond said.
