Months Later
My mom came back from her trip, all through her absence I was all alone suffering even when I was pregnant.
I dropped out of school just to take care of myself, I suffered all alone without my mom calling to know my well being.
Linda never left my side, her parents drop by everyday to stay with me.
Linda calls my mom everyday to challenge and insult her for everything I am going through but her words didn’t get through her because my mom did not change.
Even when she came back, she still leave me alone in the house telling me to take care of myself and dropping a huge some of money.
? Linda?
I heard that Miriam ‘s mom is back, I have to go see her at least to talk some sense into her skull what kind of a mother does that because I am confused myself.
Minutes later, I reach their house and saw Miriam struggling to wash cloth. I rushed to her collecting the cloth from her and leading her to a nearby chair.
“Miriam, where is your mother for godsake? “I asked her
“Linda that woman isn’t my mom, if you are asking about her she isn’t around “she answered
“Miriam I am so sorry for all what you are passing through, you are already long gone, you need someone to take care of you, you can’t do everything on your own”I said to her.
“Linda my nanny is coming, I called her to come take care of the house because I can feel it in my body, I can’t do something’s again “Miriam answered.
“Miriam what gender do you want your baby to be? “I asked trying to change the subject
“A girl”she replied sharply smiling
“Why do you want a girl? “I asked .
“Because I want to teach her how to be a good mother and not a careless one. My mother isn’t around when I need her. She pays no attention to me so I want my daughter to feel a mother’s love since I didn’t feel mine she must feel mine and also learn from me so she will give to her children “Miriam said crying.
