Alex stared at him with a scrutinizing gaze before he nodded.
“Alright I’ll believe you but if you try to leave her!! I promise you that once I grow up I’ll hunt you” Alex pointed out his tiny hands while frowning.
The rest laughed loud at that.
“I promise” Nicholas chuckled.
“Cool. I like you” Alex smiled.
“Me too” Nicholas ruffled his hair.
Nicholas looked at Angel and also smiled.
“Angel.. Your name fits you” Nicholas said and she smiled too.
“So dinner’s ready!! Who want to eat!!” Jessica announced from the kitchen.
“Me!!” Everyone chorused.
“Please join us for dinner Nina” Brittany said.
“You too Mr Nick!!” Alex said.
Nicholas nodded and carried him in his arms before going to sit at the dining.
“Can I call you best man?” Alex suddenly asked Nicholas as he was sitting on his thigh.
“Alex!!” Brittany scolded.
“Sure” Nicholas chuckled and handed him a spoon and fork.
Brittany and Jessica began serving food for everyone before settling down on their respective seats.
“Alex, I know that tomorrow is your birthday.. Don’t worry I prepared a surprise for you” Nicholas said.
“Really?” Alex looked at him with stained lips.
“Yeah” Nicholas cleaned his mouth.
“Gosh!! Can’t wait for the wedding day. I’ll be the flower boy” Alex said.
“And Angel will be the flower girl right Angel?” Nicholas added and Angel nodded while smiling.
“I’ll wear a cute gown that day” Angel said
The others just stared at them as the trio discussed while eating.. Completely forgetting their existence
“Hope you still remember we exist” Jessica suddenly said.
“Yeah.. You kids are stealing Nicholas from me” Brittany frowned.
“C’mon mom… You always told me sharing is good” Alex said.
“Yeah! Don’t worry we’ll share Nico’s love. 40% for me, 40% for Alex and 20 for you” Angel winked.
“What!!” Brittany exclaimed.
The rest laughed out loud..
“Uhm Madam Gracie, I have something important to ask of you..” Nicholas spoke once the laughter díed down.
“I’m all ears.. And you can call me Granny” Gracie said.
“Alright. I wanted to ask this to Brittany but knowing who she is she’ll definitely refuse so I wanted to ask you if you all can come and live with me” Nicholas said.
“What? No!” Brittany said.
“Why?” Nicholas turned to her.
“I.. I.. I don’t want you to think I’m with you because of your wealth” Brittany said.
“I know you’re not like that love but I think it’s a good idea.
You have so many enemies who’ll want to harm you and right now you’re not longer under the police protection since you’re now free.
You guys will be safer in my house coz of my bodyguards” Nicholas said.
“He makes a point” Jessica chirped in.
“But..” Brittany looked away.
“Yeah you’re right Nicholas.. Also our family is growing in size and this house is getting small for us all to live in” Gracie added.
“Brittany please take the kids and go live with him” Gracie said.
“But what about you Granny?” Brittany asked.
“Hailey and the others are after you and the kids, trust me I’ll be fine” Gracie smiled.
“Yeah. I’m not also ready to leave my Rhett behind” Jessica added.
Brittany sighed and looked at Nicholas.
“Oh okay, we’ll come live with you” Brittany said.
“Yay!!?” Angel and Alex chorused.
“I hope there’s a pool there?” Alex asked Nicholas who just smiled.
Nina cleared her throat and everyone turned to her.
“Uhm.. Miss Brittany, I have something to show you” Nina said.
“What’s that?”
“It’s about your father… Sir Oliver”
