Chapter 32
THE MORGANS**
Well that’s their new apartment. Brittany purchased it last night so what they’re doing now is moving in.
Since Alex and Jessica left for school and work respectively, it’s only Gracie and Brittany moving in and they’re almost done.
“I’m too old to be doing all these” Gracie said and sat down on the couch to rest her back.
“Sorry, let me do the rest” Brittany chuckled and went back in Alex’s room.
His room was painted blue, his favorite color and Brittany was almost done setting his things out.
Jessica’s things were in her room. She’ll come back and arrange her room the way she like it while Brittany’s room was just next to Alex’s room.
Gracie’s room was the only one downstairs since she’s old, it’s preferable to spare her the stress of going upstairs and downstairs to her room.
“Britt…” Gracie called.
“Hmm?” Brittany hummed, coming to her.
“I’ve been thinking about this for a few days now. Don’t you think Alex needs a dad?” Gracie asked
“Huh? What do you mean?” Brittany asked, sitting beside her.
“After all this, when you have gotten your revenge and taken back your fame from Valerie… What will you do?” Gracie asked.
Brittany thought for some seconds..
“I,,, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just live happily ever after with my son and dad” Brittany said
“That’s the point I’m trying to make… Don’t you think Alex needs a father? You love him,, yes but that love can’t fill up the fatherly love that he needs” Gracie said.
“You’re right” Brittany muttered.
She sighed and rested her head on the couch..
“Well I’ll leave that for the future” Brittany muttered.
Gracie smiled and nodded..

RESTAURANT**
“Guess who’s back in town!!!” Sandy exclaimed as she went to Ruby’s table.
“Sandy!!” Ruby squealed and went to hug Sandy.
Valerie who was discussing with Ruby frowned when she saw Sandy..
“I know you missed me… I missed you too” Sandy chuckled as they broke the hug.
Her gaze landed on Valerie.
“Hi Val” Sandy waved but Valerie rolled her eyes and looked away.
“Still mad that Aidan ditched your sister for me?” Sandy spoke as she sat down with Ruby.
“You know,, we’re not saints.. Mine I backstabbed her but you, you did worst. Which kind of “sister” abandons her sister when she needed her the most.. Not only that but you literally used that opportunity to steal everything from her. You took her popularity, love everything.. Who’s the real villain now” Sandy smirked.
Valerie went mute.
“I also know you’re mád because I once dated Nick… He’s my ex, he’s in past babe”
“Let’s just burry those grudges and become friends.. Brittany is rotting in prison so let’s just enjoy our life” Sandy said and stretched her hand towards Valerie.
Valerie looked at her and then at her hand before she slowly accepted her handshake.
“Wow!! My two best friends are now friends” Ruby said happily.
“Let’s become good friends… I still remember some little things that Nick likes when we were dating,,, I can tell you so that it’ll be easy to get him” Sandy smirked.
“Sure” Valerie finally smiled.

LILLY’S RESTAURANT**
It was 7pm, closing time. Rhett was cleaning the tables and chairs of the restaurant while Jessica was doing the dishes.
During the whole day, he didn’t even spare a glance at Jessica not to talk of a word to her. Jessica finished doing the dishes and cleaned her hand.
She came out of the kitchen and met Rhett cleaning the tables and chairs in silence.
She made to go home and was about opening the door to the exit when she had a change of mind.
“Rhett…” She called and went closer to him but he didn’t even turn to her.
“Rhett” She called again but still nothing.
Jessica frowned and came to stand in front of her. Rhett turned to leave but she blocked his way, he turned again the other way but she blocked him..
Rhett sighed and shook his head..
“I still have 20 tables to clean Jessica” He said, still not looking at her.
“I’m sorry… I almost made you loose your job” She said and took in her lips.
“Let me pass” Rhett said.
“I won’t… Not until you forgive me” Jessica said stubbornly.
“I don’t wanna use force on you Jessica” He said.
Jessica crossed her arms stubbornly. Rhett made to grab her arm and just pull her out of the way but she began tickling him.
“Stop that…” Rhett began laughing so hard..
“Hahahahaha…. I hate tickles hahahaha… Stop it… Jessica!!” Rhett said admist laughters.
“Jessi…hahaha” Rhett laughed.
Jessica smiled, seeing him laugh this much is so satisfying to her.
Rhett suddenly grabbed her hands and pinned them on the wall. Jessica gulped down nothing due to the close proximity of their faces..
“Stop it” He said and released her, taking few steps away from her.
He picked back the clothing he was using to clean the tables.
“Avoid getting into stúpid and senseless fights because of me.. I won’t be able to save you next time” He said.
“I promise” Jessica muttered.
“Cool, grab that broom over there and help me out.. It’s getting late” Rhett said.
“So impolite” Jessica scoffed and took the broom then began sweeping the floor.
Rhett just smiled and shook his head as he resumed work.

MORNING ? N~HAYES INVESTMENT**
“…. And that’s why you need to hire me boss” A lady finished her speech,,, which nobody asked her to do.
Nicholas pinched his brows and shook his head.
“Next” He said and the lady left disappointedly.
This is the 9th person he’s interviewing and each of them is just not to his taste… Either one is coming with the intention of se.ducing him, or is coming to bore him.
Another came in, wearing a very tight dress that showed off her curves. Her bbs were almost popping out of the dress with the excessive makeup on her face. She bit her lips sxily.
“Good mor-…”
“Next!!” He cuts in and began writing some things out on a paper.
“Huh?” The lady frowned.
She left the office, fuming angrily.. Nicholas heard some murmurs and noises outside but didn’t pay attention.
The door opened and he heard the sound of heels entering the office.
“Good morning sir”
That voice made him look up with the speed of light and he felt a mixture of surprise and happiness in him.
Before him stood Brittany, smiling so brightly and innocently..
