Chapter 42
ZAYNE’S APARTMENT**
Zayne was busy swimming in his pool when he suddenly heard the doorbell ring.
“Ken! Can you go and help me see who it is?” Zayne asked from the swimming pool. He lives alone, no maids..
“I’m not your maid. Go do it yourself” Kenneth replied from the bench he was sitting while reading a book.
“Fk you!” Zayne spat and came out of the pool, the water dripping down his godly body.
“Much more to you too!” Kenneth said.
Well today he has no photoshoot so he came to spend time with Zayne. Since Zayne’s company is in France, he only works through his laptop so most of the time he’s free
He’ll be leaving for France in few months anyway..
Zayne began heading to the door with droplets of water trickling down his body as he walked
“Who’s it?” He opened his door and came face to face with Ruby.
“You?” He muttered in surprise.
Ruby gasped as she stared at him. How can a human being be so perfect… His toned thigh, perfect six packs, smooth chest, broad shoulders and bicep and now his wet hair which stuck dangerously on his face… Everything of him screams perfection
“Ruby?” Zayne’s voice brought her back to reality.
Ruby she quickly looked away and frowned her face, bringing back that arrogant look on her face..
“I came here to see my boyfriend” She said arrogantly, stealing glances at his wet lips.
Zayne raised a brow and then laughed shortly..
“Seriously? Why do you seem to stalk him everywhere he goes.. Are you that insecure?” Zayne smirked.
“Mind your fking business” Ruby pushed him aside and made to enter but he pulled her back and pinned her, his face so close to hers that she couldn’t help but gasp.
She licked her lips..
“If I wasn’t minding my business, I should have told Kenneth what I saw three days ago at that club. You and some guy, kssing and…doing naughty things” Zayne whispered to her and her eyes widened..
“Where.,,, how did you find out? You,,, you were there??” Ruby stuttered in fear.
“Well yeah,,, duh”
“What are you gonna do? Tell on me? Go on! He’ll never believe you over me” Ruby smirked.
“Now that he has mixed feelings over Savannah, I clearly doubt that” Zayne shrugged.
Ruby went mute, already sweating..
“Zayne…” They heard Kenneth’s voice approaching so Zayne took few steps away from Ruby.
Almost immediately Kenneth came.
“Oh babe, it’s you..” Kenneth smiled and went hold Ruby. Ruby smiled awkwardly..
“She just arrived, she said she was looking for you” Zayne said and leaned on the wall.
“What’s up dude! You’re just in your swimsuit… Can’t you cover up, you’re in front of my girl..” Kenneth frowned.
Zayne chuckled.
“No worries. We’re all adults here beside Ruby will never do such things to you. She’s faithful and loves you a lot. Right… Ruby?” Zayne said and eyed Ruby.

OZ COMPANY**
The workers in the company clapped when Valerie made her entry in the company. She was putting on a long black suit jacket on top of a white shirt fitted in a black palazzo giving off this sxy yet classy vibes.
“You all already know me, I’m Valerie Rodriguez… New CEO of OZ company and as from today things are going to change.
I’m going to bring back this company to the top just like my father has always wanted and that means any slacking off or nuisance of such won’t be tolerated.
I want perfection and orderliness…” Valerie continued with her speech while the others listened with keen interest.

Brittany heaved tiredly and fell on her chair when she finished the first work of the day. She began arranging the papers in files.
“I seriously didn’t sign up for this” She pouted.
All the workers beside her kept staring at while murmuring to themselves. That’s what has been happening since she arrived and honestly she doesn’t care.
Not like she’ll be a secretary for the rest of her life.. This is just for two months and that’s it. Her dream job is and will always remain modeling..
She stood up and went to give the files to Nicholas..
“Come in”
She opened the door and walked in. Nicholas was sitting on his swivel chair with his suit jacket hanging on the chair while the some buttons of his shirt were left unbuttoned…looking so hot and sxy.
Brittany looked at him, completely unfazed
“Here’s the papers you asked me to work on” She said and handed it to him.
“Nice work… Miss Morgan or Rodriguez,,, whatever your name is” Nicholas said checking the files.
Brittany chuckled and that made him look up. He has to admit it that she is really cute.
“I’ll go continue my work boss” She turned to leave.
“Wait” He said and stood then came to stand in front of her.
“Aidan’s birthday party is tomorrow.. Will you be my date for the party.” Nicholas said.
Brittany raised her brows and crossed her arms..
“Rephrase your words please” Brittany smirked.
“Oh sorry, that phrase was too romantic…let me rephrase it” Nicholas said and cleared his throat.
“Will you come ruin that motherfker’s party with me?” Nicholas smirked.
“Now you’re speaking English” Brittany smirked.
