king: woman what is going on? and what happened to
him.
woman: we were in the farm cultivating, when suddenly
he fell down and started convulting before i knew what
was happening he is gone. please my king help me,
iam a poor widow he is all i have got (crying bitterly
and rolling herself on the ground)
king: i have heard what u said go home and bury your
son, i will see what i can do.
As the king was still talking another man rushed into
the compound and starting shouting and screaming
also rolling himself on the ground.
king: Ah, what is the matter again?
Man: me and my wife was at home talking when all of
a sudden she fell down and started coughing out blood
before i could do anything she died.
queen: what is really happening in this village, for the
past two days i observed that things have not been
well. gods of our land please save us
king: i feel your pains, go home and bury your wife, and
you woman go home and bury your son like i told u
before i will get to the root of the matter (and they
went to do as the king said)
That same evening the king was with his cabinets
talking about the things that was happening in the
village, when the queen rushed in interupting their
discussion.
king: My queen why are u running as if you are been
chased by a ghost
queen: (breathing heavily) my king, my eyes have seen
the worst, i was thirsty so i asked my maid to get me
some water, when i wanted to drink the water it turned
into blood.
please my husband this is getting out of hand you need
to look for a solution about all these things happening
in our kingdom.
As the queen was still talking, one of the village youth
rushed inside the palace.
king: what is it again?
youth: your highness, i was on my farm watering my
crops when all of a sudden all my crops dried up.
please your highness that is were i feed you need to do
something
1st elder: this is getting serious everyday
king: go home young man i will see what i can do, i
was still discussing with my cabinets concerning the
issue before you came don’t worry go (and he left)
queen: you people need to do something fast before is
too late she said and left.
king: my cabinets what are we going to do now?
1st elder: i suggest we summon ikuku the great native
doctor in the neighbouring village
2nd elder: why the neighbouring village, why not
summon our village native doctor.
king: No let’s summon ikuku from the neighbouring
village is a very strong native doctor, he have the eyes
of the gods (they all agreed with the king)
3rd elder: when are we going there?
king: we will not go there i will summon him .
