NIGHTMARE MARRIAGE : CHAPTER 21 – 40
I stared out the window as i sighed silently. The atmosphere looks good today, I kept looking out the window as he handled the steering wheel cause I was trying to avoid his gaze.
He woke up this morning to tell me to pack few of my clothes and that was it, he didn’t tell me where we’re heading to. He is so weird at times…..so sad Rachelle didn’t come with us.
The drive was boring….only the music that played in the radio could be heard as he drives to God who knows where.
? I had to escape
?The city was sticky and cruel.

I drove all night by Celine Dion, I was enjoying the music but he changed it to another radio program. I almost turned to face him with a glare but i controlled myself.
“I was listening to that, you punk!.” I said within. Gosh…I feel angry at every little thing, I have noticed that about me. I just have to keep controlling myself whenever am around Scott so I wouldn’t get into trouble….he’s a d’vil, remember?. I wouldn’t want to mess with a mon$ter…
The drive became even more boring listening to the news from the radio. But finally, we arrived at our destination.
We stopped at his penthouse?. Okay….it is unexpected cause I thought we were heading to somewhere like the mall…..gosh, am out of my mind.
We got down from the car after he parks it at the parking lot. I went to the guest room and kept my things, I don’t know why Scott made us come here but i..like it. I can have my little privacy now, sleeping in the same room and bed always creeps the sht out of me.
It brings back bad memories, that night. I don’t wish to think about it cause it was awful. That night marked the beginning of my nightmares!.
I don’t know how many days we are gonna stay here but am at least glad, why?. Cause I can still be a little free from Tonia and her bchy attitude. It really annoys me a lot whenever she behaves stupid so am glad the two of us are here, alone. Wait …. Scott and I are gonna be alone…!??. Fk, oh no!. Wait….what could go wrong???, yeah, we ain’t sharing same room now….so I think things will be fine this time around. I just have to stay away from breaking any of his rules. Yeah that’s it!.
I puffed out a deep breathe and stood up from the soft bed I sat on. I walked to the window side, the view from here is very beautiful and there ain’t much buildings around here….Scott must have paid a fortune when buying this land huh.
The room looks nice too, although it isn’t my first time here but I really admire the designs on the wall and ceilings. I remember we came here after we were done with our wedding, Scott had a female visitor then. Thinking about it now, that female’s voice….sounds a lot like Jessica. She could be the one, am not surprised cause she’s obviously a cheap bch.
She’s starting to get on my nerves, I wonder why Jessica didn’t sign the contract with Scott instead of me!. Gosh….she’s so annoying.
I heard a knock on my door, I stood up at once and walked to it. I opened it, who else would be at the door step if not him. They ain’t any maids around….so yeah we are alone.
“Uh..sir..” I stutter, I didn’t expect him to be here at my room’s door step so my heart was racing rapidly, what does he want?. I kept thinking!.
“You can cook right?.” He cuts in, that question echoed in my ears continually, It was out of the blue moon.
“Yes I can.” I smiled. It has been so long i have cooked something so i felt happy.
“Follow me.” He said with a straight face, gosh what’s with him?. Can’t he smile for once huh?.
“Alright.” I nodded and walked behind him as we got to his kitchen,
After he showed me the kitchen, he walked out. “Okay….what should i prepare?.” I clasped my hands together, thinking of what to cook…..

Work has been hectic this past week so I decided to clear my mind and relax, i chose my penthouse cause it’s usually where i go whenever am stressed out.
Normally, i would have gone alone but I took her along, Riley. I ain’t blind, I noticed Tonia and Jessica are giving her a hard time so….yeah. Not like I care but just decided.
I felt somehow strange when that song played, it’s absurd…..I kept picturing her naked body in my head as it played. I was like, what the hell?. I had to remove the music, I felt it was too romantic…
I hate what’s happening to me.! I don’t like it all!.
I sighed as I took my seat on the couch, rested my head and closed my eyes. The sound of the door bell made me open my eyes. I stood up to get it, a smile curved on my lips as I sighted them.
“Hey dudes.” I opened the door wide enough for them to enter.
“Scott, thank goodness you have our time today!.” Said Ryan.
“Good to see you bro.” Jacob shook my hand.
“Come in please, I have been expecting you two.”

“So tell me, how is business?.” Ryan asked as we they settled on the couch.
“Doing great.” I moved to grab a whiskey with three empty glass.
“Tell me about it.”
“Pretty stressful.” I said seating next to them.
“I was so shocked when I saw your text, i doubted if it was for me.” Ryan chuckled.
“Seriously?.” I asked.
“Well, you’ve been too busy recently.” Jay said.
“And that’s number one thing I care about, work.”
“Yeah, obviously.”

I dished out his portion of food on a plate, placed it on a tray with glass of water and carried it to the living room.
“It’s ready.” I said immediately I entered the living room and I was startled to see three men instead of just Scott.
I became scared instantly, is he having a business meeting???, am I in trouble for walking in like that??.
They fixed their gazes at me, oh i recognize them!. I know ’em to be Scott’s friends, well i didn’t know they were around the whole time I was at the kitchen..
“Uhm good day.” I greeted as I moved to them.
“Hi Riley.”
“Hey.”
They responded as I dropped Scott’s meal on the dining table. “You can leave.” Said Scott with his gaze not fixed on me.
“Alright.”
“Hey, am also hungry. She can’t just leave like that.” The guy who i remember his name to be Jacob, said.
I responded. “What would you like to have then?.”
“Anything made by you.” He smiled.
“Very well then, what about you Ryan?. Is there anything you’d also want?.”
“Oh no, am fine. Thank you so much.” He said.
“Okay, I’ll be right back.” I walked back to the kitchen to prepare another dish. Minutes after i finished with it, I headed to the living room to serve him.
They were already seated in the dinning room when I came back. “Here you go.” I handed him the food he had requested.
“Thanks dear, we’ll let you know when we’re done.” He smirked.
“Okay, anything else?.” I faced Scott. He didn’t respond, he concentrated on the food in front of him.

Rude…..!. I felt like smacking his face that instinct. I faked a smile and headed straight to the guest room. What’s up with him…he’s always cold. His friends are nice, i really wonder how they could cope with someone like him.
