A MONTH LATER.
RILEY.

“What do you think Rachelle?, should i do it?.” I asked.
“Uhm, am not sure. I don’t trust miss Tonia, due to my experience working here, she isn’t a nice person.” She says.
“Oh.” I sadly muttered.
I told Rachelle about Tonia, how she offered to help me escape from here and also her warnings. I had to tell Rachelle cause it has been bugging me. I needed to speak to someone about it and thank God I have Rachelle, it’s a good thing she always hears me whenever I have something bothering my mind.
“Although I wish I can escape.” I sigh.
“Same here ma’am but I think it’s best you wait for the contract to be over cause who knows what might happen if Master Scott gets to know about this, I am very certain he’d get you puni$hed.”
“You’re right Rachelle, he’s capable of doing anything evil.”
“Yes ma’am. Please you should think about this very well.”
“I will.”
“You’re done ma’am. You look gorgeous.” She smiled as I stared at my reflection in the mirror.
“Thanks Rachelle.”
Yeah I look beautiful all thanks to the makeup, it’s sad I have to always apply it cause of the bruises on my cheeks.
I don’t want mom to see it and start asking me how I got the bruises. I bet she’d be so disappointed with her ‘darling’ son.
Immediately I got up from the small seat I sat on, I began feeling nauseous. “Ma’am, are you alright?.” Rachelle asks, it seemed she noticed my sudden change of mood.
“Yes, I am.” I fake a smile, God I feel so weak and my head hurts too.
“What is happening to me?. Why do I suddenly feel this way??.” I thought.
“Alright ma’am, we should join the others.” She smiled as I nodded in response. I didn’t want her to know how I was suddenly feeling, she’d be worried and I don’t want that to happen. I hate it when people I care about gets worried. It saddens me, now it made me to remember those times when Aunt Clarissa would always get disturbed whenever I came home late from work tired.
God…..I miss her so much. I pray you rest in peace momma, I love you so much and will always do. Rest well sweet aunt.
When we got out of my room, Rachelle headed straight to the kitchen while I walked towards the dinning room. I don’t know why but nauseousness disappeared, I felt strong like I was this morning I woke up. Scott isn’t present at the dinning room, he went to work early today and believe me, am so happy I won’t see his face as I eat my breakfast.
I usually hold my breathe whenever he’s with me, am so scared of that mon$ter like dmn!.
It was only Tonia that was seated at the dinning room. “Good morning Tonia.” I said having my seat opposite her.
She didn’t respond as she fixed her gaze on her phone not sparing me a look.
“Good Mor…”
“Have you made up your mind concerning our discussion?.” She cuts in.
Discussion…..?. I recalled what Rachelle told me. I guess I should be patient for this contract to end. Am sure there’ll be consequences if I should escape, yeah Scott is a very influential person. He can do anything evil at any time and besides, where will I go if I should escape?. I have no one to call my family…..I don’t even know where my papa’s family reside. So right now, I guess being patient will do.
“Yeah, I thought about it and decided I don’t need your help. Thank you.” I said politely.
She scoffed as she placed down her phone giving me a very dirty look.
“Gosh you’re so dumb. Don’t you get it huh?!. Scott belongs to someone else, you’re being an obstacle b*tch.”
“Am not a bch Tonia, don’t call me that.” I wanted to voice out angrily at her but mom and sister Yuri approached to us.
“Riley Honey.” Mom says.
“Good morning mom, sister Yuri.” I greeted.
“Morning Riley.”
“How was your night?.” Mom asked.
“Fine mom.” I smiled, they took their seats as the maids came to dish out our meal.
Tonia, she couldn’t stop glaring at me whenever mom or sister Yuri isn’t looking. Okay…..she’s starting to get on my nerves. What’s with her anyways??., do I look like am here to take Scott from whoever she says is in a relationship with him??. Am just doing my job as a fake wife, why can’t she understand that….!. Is not like I have feelings for that monster….. She is really stressing herself.
I wonder who that person she’s talking about is, I would wish to see her one day. Isn’t she pretty enough?. Why did Scott not just marry her instead of making an agreement with me.
It’s not even as if I did this sht willingly, his brother forced me into this. I really hate it when people who are way older than you speaks rudely to you, it annoys me. But anyways, I just have to keep calm until am so done with this contract.
“Scott has left for work huh?.” Sister Yuri asked.
“Yes.” I replied.
“So soon……God he is such a work alcoholic. Very responsible.” Says mother.
I almost rolled my eyes tho, responsible my foot. Argh…! I wish she knows the true color of her son, Scott Wilson. God….how could he pretend to be a good person to his mother??., gosh….how would she feel when she gets to know her son has being lieing to her!.

I stood up to assist the maids as usual, my head, it began pounding hard. I felt dizzy, my vision became blurry. I touched my forehead as I closed my eyes.
“Riley….” I heard their voices calling my name.
It was as if they were staying far away from me, what’s going on??.
“Riley, are you okay darling?.” It’s mom’s voice.
As i parted my mouth to speak, i fell down on the titled floor.

Mom and i rushed to Riley when she collapsed. I was so worried about her, what happened to her??. But she looked fine minutes ago so what could have happened to her??. She wasn’t sick before, right?.
Tonia…….she must have known about Scott’s contract with Riley cause she has been acting really mean towards Riley. Well, I noticed how she sometimes throw deadly glares at Riley.
So am not surprised that she doesn’t seem to care. She’s just like Scott.
“Ma’am, here I am.” Paul came in.
“To the hospital, quick!.” Says mom.
Paul and I placed Riley’s arms around our shoulders as we walked towards the parking lot, Tonia brought mom’s car key and opens it, I sat with Riley at the back seat while mom stayed at the passenger seat, Tonia stayed back, she had to give mom an excuse, gosh she is really mean.
Paul starts the car and drove out of our compound, I kept praying silently as we hit the road towards the hospital. Mom already began shedding tears, gosh she is so worried.

I hesitated in opening my eyes cause everywhere seemed bright. I managed to sit up on the bed, “Where am I?.” I muttered staring around this unfamiliar room.
As I was about to stand up, the door creaked opened. It’s a woman dressed in white, she gasped at me and went out.
Not up to a minute, sister Yuri and mom entered with the woman who I later realized is a nurse. That means I am at the hospital.
“Oh thank goodness Riley!.” Mom walks to me with a bright happy smile.
“What…..what happened?.” I asked staring at them.
“You fainted dear.” Says Sister Yuri who also came close to me.
“Wh….why?.”
“Well, thank you so much Riley. For making my dream come true, oh this is good news dear!!.”
What is she talking about??. Why is she thanking me??.
“What do you mean mom?.” I questioned looking at them confusedly.

She looked at Sister Yuri then at me still with a bright smile. “You’re pre.gnant Riley.” She said clearly.
