It was already dark when I arrived home, it’s a good idea I hung out with Jay and Ryan, I feel a bit relaxed. I walked to my room, every where’s quiet….she must be asleep. I switched on the light immediately i stepped inside my room, nudged the door closed.
I pulled off my clothes, headed to the bathroom to shower. I stayed inside the bathtub, I was feeling dizzy cause of the alcohol I took but…the warm water healed me.
I light up the ¢igarette i had bought on my way home and puffed out smoke. Then it hit me, who would I bring to the party as a plus one??. Attending the party isn’t necessary but…I just wanna have fun. It has been long I have done that cause of my busy work schedule.
Veronica….i can’t call that bch cause of last time so who the hell would want to be my escort….no wh’res would want to attend a party with me when it isn’t a club. Geez…..i sat properly on the bathtub, she came into my mind as i let out a loud sigh.
That wtch…would she accept if i told her??. What if she doesn’t wanna go with me??. Hold on, why do I care if she declines……am the boss here right??. She should do whatever i tell her to do not the opposite.

Knocks on my door jolted me from my evening nap, i ignored it cause I felt so sleepy. The knocks continued, I sat up and rubbed my eyes. “Who is it?.” I questioned even if I knew who it would be, that dkhead Scott. It’s just the two of us in this mansion anyway.
He didn’t respond, i asked again and got up to my feet. “Good evening ma’am.” The voice outside my room said.
Okay….that isn’t Scott, he can’t and will never refer me as madam when he isn’t nut and besides it’s a female voice.
I twisted the door knob open and I was right, a lady in pink long gown holding on to two big bags. Okay….who the hell is she?. Or is she one of Scott’s wh’re. Gosh, i suddenly felt annoyed thinking about that bch that came here last time.
But…her mode of dressing is okay so…I doubt it if she’s one of ’em. “Sorry, who are you?.” I asked politely.
She did a small head bow and smiled. “Am Belle Finn, a makeup artist and am here to make you ready.” She said, staring at me with a huge grin on her lips.
“Huh??.”
I became confused, what the hell is she talking about??. Okay, i get the fact she’s a makeup artist but get ready for what??.
“I was instructed by Mr Scott Wilson to get you dressed for tonight’s party.”
“What party?.”
“I have no idea ma’am.” She answered.
What kind of party is that?. Why didn’t that dumb a$s inform me beforehand??. Was his mouth sealed this morning or what???. That…punk!.
“Not interested, tell him that.” I said with an eye roll.
Her face became dull immediately i stated that. “Ma’am…I’ve already been paid for this, please let me do my job. Please ma’am I don’t wanna return the payments given to me.” She begged.
I sighed silently, I felt pity for her. She made me recall my old self, when I was struggling to make ends meet.
“Okay, come in.”
She beamed a happy smile and nodded obediently. “Thanks ma’am.”

I stared at myself in the mirror in front of me, dressed in black ball gown with cape sweetheart beaded, my glittering face and my hair styled beautifully….I look like a princess searching for a prince.
“Why the mask though?.” I asked belle.
“I think it is part of the dress code Ma’am.” She responded.
“So…what now?.” I said after she’s done with the dressing stuff. She was about to open her mouth to speak when another knock came in on the door, i faced Belle and stared at the direction of the door. Who is it again?.
“Yes?.” I said loudly.
“Jack ma’am.”
Oh…Scott’s driver, “Come in, it isn’t locked.” I replied as he opened the door and entered.
“Good evening ma’am, you look beautiful.” He said.
“Thank you Jack, is there any problem?.”
“Not at all ma’am. Mr Scott asked me to fetch you ma’am, he’s in the car waiting for you.” He stated.
Waiting for me…?. So he’s around?. “Alright.” I stood up.
“Thanks for your time Mrs Scott.” Belle said making her way towards the door.
“You’re welcome.”
I faced Jack, “Let’s go.”
I followed him outside, it’s already dark and i didn’t even realise it. He walked ahead of me to open the back door seat. I moved close to the car and sighted him seated with his gaze fixed on his phone.
Jack closed the door immediately i got inside the car, the space between us could contain one more person and yeah an awkward silence filled the vehicle as Jack hits the road.

I lost my breathe when she entered, I didn’t expect but hoped she would accept to attend the party with me. And yeah, i was surprise she’d put on those dress i bought for her….
I kept on trying my best not to look at her, pretending i’m going through my phone as Jack drives us to our destination.
I can’t believe am saying this to myself but she….she’s beautiful tonight. I stole a quick glance at her from my golden face mask when she stared out the tilted window.
Her side view….gosh, she looked so hot with her mask on, my eyes stopped at her red lips. I gulped silently and quickly averted my gaze from her, i suddenly developed the desire to kss those red tempting lips.
“Where are you taking me to?.” She asked, breaking the long science and jolting me out of my deep insane thoughts.
I cleared my throat and answered her coldly. “Somewhere.”
She scoffed and i could feel her gaze on mine. “Somewhere?. Where in particular Scott?.” She asked and damn….chills ran down my spine when she pronounced my name.
I nibbled on my lips, gosh…what the fk is happening to me!. I was about to speak when Jack voiced out. “We’re here Sire.”
Jack came down to open the doors for us as we got down at the parking lot of a big classy mansion, Jay’s friend must be very rich.

I felt pissed off that punk didn’t respond to my question. Jack alighted the car at a very lovely mansion and dmn the owner must have spent lots of cash on building it. We both stepped out from the car and i couldn’t stop admiring the beautiful mansion.
Scott walked ahead of me as i trailed behind, punk!. He suddenly stopped on his track like he remembered whatever he forgot in the car. He turned swiftly and began walking to my direction and stopped right in front of me.
He stretched out his palm. “Your hand.” He said.
“What?.” I asked.
“Take my hand.” He stated again, I wasn’t able to see if he was smiling or frowning as usual cause of his face mask.
Before I could utter a word, he took my left arm and intertwined our hands. Good Lord, I felt butterflies in my tummy.

A jazz song’s being played when we got in. Everybody are paired to two as they held glasses of champagne. This party looks classy indeed, their different mode of dress are very unique. Every individual wore masks…oh now I know why we’re putting it on.
I removed my hand from his grip, he looked at me and leaned close to my face. “Act like my wife.” He whispered coldly.
I smirked. “Don’t tell me what to do Scott.” I wanted to say to him when his name got called by someone.
We turned to see two men in expensive tuxedos walking towards our direction.
“Jay!. Ryan!. ” He called ’em.
“Scott….good to see ya.” Jacob said to him as three of them shook hands.
Ryan faced me. “You look beautiful tonight Riley.” He smiled.
Scott glimpsed at me when he said that, “Thank you.” I blushed. I scoffed within me, at least someone complimented my look…
“I..uhm..I should excuse you guys.” I said with a smile and walked to a couch.

I was so uneasy when Ryan told her she looked beautiful. I didn’t like the fact he had to say such thing to her….like what the fk. I felt mad but i maintained being calm anyways.
“So….where are your plus one?.” I asked.
“Well, she’s over there.” Jacob pointed at a lady dressed in red gown with mask, seated alone on the couch opposite where Riley sat.
“Oh i see, what about you Ryan?.”
He sighed. “Y’all should know i have no one to come with me.” He answered jokily.”
“Then how the h’ll were you allowed inside?. I thought bringing someone with us is compulsory?.”
“I have no idea bro.” He shrugged.
“Didn’t you say it was compulsory?.” I asked Jay.
“Well…am also surprised bro. But guys, let me introduce you two to my friend.” He said.
“Sure.” I and Ryan replied simultaneously.

I knew he is the one immediately he walked in holding a lady’s wrist. I had already gotten used to the way he walks so I’m certain he is the one I have been waiting for. Of course he looked fabulous in his blue tuxedo while the lady he came with also looked hot in her red strapless gown.
Whoever that lady is, I know she’d be working with him, definitely she is his partner in crime, am sure about that. I couldn’t just remain where i seated, I needed to spy on ’em, i needed to know whatever they’re gonna do in this party.
I watched as he whispered something in the lady’s ear, she smiled and nodded her head to whatever he told her. I sharply stood up to my feet when they started walking towards ‘God knows where’.
I followed them and I made sure I was careful, they both stopped at a restroom…..women’s restroom to be precise. I watched closely from where i hid myself, they both looked their left and right before they got inside the restroom.

I came out of my hiding spot and tiptoed to the door, leaned my ear on it and eavesdropped on whatever they’re gonna say.
Yup….I was right, I knew the lady’s on his side, I knew he can’t just come here without doing something stupid.
But..the lady’s name….it does sound familiar. Anyways, with my mask as my perfect disguise….I can put a stop to this.
