FINALE

He was about kssing me when the door busted open, we gazed at the door and it’s mom. The look on her face is kind of disturbing, she wasn’t smiling at all.

What could be wrong?.

“Mom, are you okay?.” Scott asked.

“You guys signed a marriage contract???!.” She replied with a disappointed face.

Oh no!. How the hell did she know!. I’ve always feared this moment!.

“What do you mean mom??.” Scott chuckled,dropping my hands gently.

“There’s no need to lie son, Yuri told me everything I needed to know.” She crossed her arms and began walking forward.

She looked at me and let out a sigh, i bent down my he’d facing the bed as I felt really ashamed.

“Why didn’t you inform me?.” She asked, I could sense the disappointment in her voice as i felt really bad.

“I’m sorry mom.” Scott stated calmly, lowering his head.

“At least you should have told me in the beginning, you two placed me in the dark, have you forgotten Scott that I’m your mom?!.” She half yelled.

“I didn’t want to hurt you f I told you bout the gay news.” He replied.

“Do you think it’s compared to now?. Goodness!. Have never been this disappointed in my entire life!. And as for you…” She faced me.

“You kept pretending whenever we’re together, i thought you were really my daughter in-law but I never knew you’re just a stranger!.”

‘Mom!.” Scott half yelled. Dmn…., I felt a sting in my chest hearing the word ‘stranger’.

“Shut up Scott, how could you leave me in the dark!.”

“It isn’t intentional mom, it’s my fault not hers.”

“I don’t care if it’s not her fault, now listen very carefully Riley or whatever your name is……who even knows if your name is also fake!. I don’t want to ever see your feet in my house, stay away from my son!.” She exclaimed furiously, I couldn’t even look up to face her cause I was extremely ashamed to do so.

“Mom…please, stop!.”

“Do not interfere in this Scott!.!.” She yelled, she turned and angrily walked out.

“I’m really sorry Ry.” Scott apologetically said, “I’ll be right back.” He assured, rose up to his feet and also ran out of the ward to go talk to his mom.

I could not hold back the tears again, I let it fall freely. I can’t believe mom said that to me.

“Stay away from my son.” I kept thinking of her statement. I knew this day would come, when she’ll finally realize who I am, a stranger living with the Wilsons but I never expected it to turn out the way and i wasn’t prepared for it.

I thought I’d live a normal life after the contract but who knew I’d end up falling in love with Scott?., I never imagined that!. I’m so deeply hurt seeing mom this way, she was so furious and believe me, I haven’t seen that side of her before.

I hastily wiped my tears when the door creaked open. Of course I was expecting Scott but it was his driver, Jack that entered.

“Good day ma’am.” He said with a small head bow.

“Hi, Jack.” I faked a smile.

“How do you feel now?.” He asked.

“Very fine, thanks for asking..” I replied, he stood at the door side as i looked behind him and faced him. “Where is Scott please?.” I asked politely.

“He’s at home with madam, he told me to also bring you home.”

Scott’s already at home?. I just hope all is well.

“Okay.” I nodded.

I thought back of my old peaceful life as we hit the road. I miss those times I spent with my parents, the Martins. The memories we shared ain’t much but they were the best parents I ever had, I miss them so much!. I wish I could bring back time and be with them again even if it’s for a day, especially with my lovely aunt, Clarissa.

She gave me everything i needed, protected me and always put a smile on my lips. I remember how she stood by me when i lost mom and dad, I almost went through depression but she was by my side. She taught me so many things I needed to know, that life goes on.

“I wish you are all here with me!.” I muttered low.

The car suddenly stopped, we already arrived at the Wilson’s mansion. My heart kept racing, I breathe out and stepped out of the vehicle.

It’s sad that this will be the last day I’ll step into this mansion. Yes, I already made up my mind to take my leave and start a new life….where I wouldn’t get hurt or hurt anyone.

Mother told me to leave, I know it’s hard but I’ll at least obey. Am so sorry Scott, I love you so much but I have to go.

I’ll just take a few things and leave. I inhaled a deep breathe and walked inside, the door wasn’t locked and of course, my heart kept racing non stop as I hoped not to have an encounter with mom.

The living room’s dark when I entered, very dark that I can’t see anything. What’s happening…my heart beat raced the more.

As I kept wondering in fear what could be going on, someone suddenly switched on the light as the whole living room became bright again.

It was Tonia who turned the lights on, she wore a happy big smile on her face as she looked at me as if she had won a lottery ticket.

Then, I looked around and realized I’m being surrounded by people. And by people, I meant mom, sister Yuri, Lisa, Ryan, some maids and…Jack!. Like how the hell did he enter before me??. I thought I left him at the parking lot outside!?. What’s happening?. I hope am not in big trouble this time.

“Welcome Riley.” Mother exclaimed with a genuine smile, okay……she sounded nice and calm, what’s going on?.

That moment, I didn’t even know what to say or do cause I was extremely confused.

Unexpectedly, i sighted Scott descending from the staircase. He was putting on different dress, with his hair neatly styled. He also put on a small smile on his lips as he approached me.

“Riley…” He called softly as he stood in front of me. He looked at me straight in the eyes and voiced out. ”

“Since i met you, my life has taken a turn for the better. I want to grow old with you. I want to be the one who makes you smile always. I know my life will never be complete without you beside me to share it. When I look into my heart, I see only you. If you can look into your heart and only see me, then we should spend the rest of our lives together. I promise you, no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you more than me. Reason why i love you is because you inspire me to be a better person. All i want Riley….is you and my unborn child you’re carrying. So would you make me the most happiest man on earth by being my wife?.”

Am….am pregnant??!.

“Yes, you’re pregnant dear. Please say yes!!,we planned all this for you.” Sister Yuri told me.

What??. They did all these….for me??. I’m having a baby???!.

“Riley my dear….” Mother called. “I take back all what I said at the hospital…..I only said it cause of our special surprise for you. I want you to know that no matter what happens, you’ll always be my Riley. And thanks for your endurance, you changed my son’s attitude and I’ll be forever grateful!.”

Awnn…really?. Now, i felt like crying. I faced Scott who knelt down and smiled with tears. Oh yeah….I’m already crying. I stretched forth my hand to him and nodded. “Yes Scott, I will marry you.”

He grinned and quickly inserted the ring in my finger. He stood up, kssed my stomach and hugged me.

“Thank you Riley.” He whispered within the hug.

Everyone turned their heads at my direction immediately the song ‘Here Comes The Bride’ played. I smiled, trying my best not to cry as I walk towards the love of my life.

I remembered when we got wedded…., how nervous I was to walk down the aisle. I really can’t believe this would happen again….I never thought I would get married to him for real.

Indeed, memories brings back memories. His face radiated with Joy as his eyes stayed on me, he smiled when I stood opposite him with my heart ready to explode cause of his handsome look.

My mind drifted back to that day, Jack’s statement. What he told me that moment when he was driving me to the wedding hall.

”You’re very lucky ma’am.” He said. Well, now am truly a lucky woman.

“?In the name of God, do you Mr Scott take Miss Riley Martins to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by de.ath?

He looked at me and winked. ” Yes I do.” He stated softly, making my cheek turn red.

The pastor faced me with a small smile.

?In the name of God, do you Miss Riley take Mr Scott Liam Wilson to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by de.ath?

My answer….., well I didn’t want to waste time cause I’m more than ready to be with the love of my life.

I smiled at my husband to be and responded. “Yes i do.”

“You can kss the bride now my good man.” The pastor told Scott.

“Beautiful bride, you mean.” Scott corrected with a side smirk as everyone giggled.

He moved closer to me, kissed my forehead and whispered. “I love you.”

He then cupped my cheeks and kssed my lips gently as everyone went ‘awnnnn’. Believe me, that was the best moment of my life.

“With the power vested in me, I declare you husband and wife. Mr and Mrs Scott.” The pastor said.

Well, finally we’re legally married..

The atmosphere’s really cool, it’s a little windy but I love it especially when I’m with my hot husband. I leaned against his chest as we both sat on the cool sand, watching our four years old son Leo, having fun building a sand castle all by himself.

“Mummy!. Daddy!.” Leo called cutely running towards us.

“What is it baby?.” I asked as he stood in front of us.

“See what I found!.” He exclaimed showing us his right palm, a beautiful white sea shell.

“Can I keep it???.” He asked giving us cute puppy eyes.

“Maybe.” Scott shrugged.

“Please…?.”

“Sure you can.” I chuckled.

“Yay!.” He giggled and ran back to the castle he’s building, cutie!.

Scott’s phone vibrated in his hands, a video call from sister Yuri. Scott answered it as her chubby face appeared on the screen, well….our lovely sister Yuri is having baby number two so she’s gaining weight recently.

“Hey darlings!.” She exclaimed happily.

“Hey sis, how you doing?.” Scott asked while I smiled.

“Am fine, just a lil bit tired. I was bout to sleep but I decided to see you two lovely faces before i do so.”

“Oh, you should rest big sis.” I said.

“Of course I will, so where are you guys?.”

“At the beach, Leo insisted.” I replied as she giggled.

“That’s so cute of him.” She complimented.

“How’s Canada and how’s your husband?.” Asked Scott.

“He’s fine and life in Canada is great!.”

“That’s nice. By the way, we should let you rest.” Scott said.

“Okay.” I giggled as Scott disconnected the call.

“By the way…..” Scott began as I faced him.

“Have been wondering it’s time we make Gabrielle.” He stated.

“Gabrielle?. What do you mean?.”

He leaned his face closer to mine and whispered with one breathe. “You know what I mean.” He muttered low $eductively with a wink.

I blushed. “You’re so naughty!.” I scolded.

“You made me this way.”

I smirked and kssed his damp soft lips. “I love you Ry.”

So many things had happened. Tonia finally found the love of her life while Ryan and Lisa got married months ago and will be having their first child soon.
Mrs James already recovered and she’s living fine with her son, Kelvin.
