I opened my eyes, sat up on the bed and glimpsed at the other side of the bed. Kevin….he isn’t beside me, he must have gone to school and mom, she’s also no where to be found. So it’s certain she has taken him to school.
I got up, stretched my body and after that, i brushed my teeth and took a bath. Dressed up in a yellow hoodie with a gray colored crazy jeans, put on my footwear and went out of the room.
I had breakfast, Oatmeal porridge prepared by mom. Cleaned up after I was done eating, rested for some time before I finally decided to head out of the house.
I held the door knob, about to twist it open when i heard her voice.
“I see you’re very serious about this.”
“Mom, you’re back?.” I said, perplexed. She held a mug of tea as she stared at me with a smile.
“Yeah, thirty minutes ago. So tell me, what are your next plans?.” She asked.
“My plans…”
“Well, his friend.” I answered.
“Which one of ’em?.”
“Scott, his second billionaire friend. Am pretty sure he is on his evil lists, those people he planned to destroy. I was on his list but not anymore.” I frowned.
“Well, you have to take things easy Lisa.” Mom stated worriedly.
“I know, am being careful.”
“Didn’t you say, you got caught by Ryan. Were you being careful?.”
“That….wasn’t supposed to happen, but trust me mom, this time i’ll be super careful. Besides, he wasn’t sure if it was me cause I could tell by his facial expression..”
“He also misses me.” I added in a low voice.
“Don’t worry Lisa, everything will soon be okay.” She assured.
“I know, that’s why I need to act fast.”
“How is Scott involved in your next plan?.” She asked curiously.
“Well, Scott….he is married. Jacob loves anything under the skirt, he would surely have a taste of his wife before he gets rid of Scott, no doubt about that!.”
“This Jacob of a guy….he is very dangerous. And how sure are you concerning this?.” She asked.
“Am very sure mom, I know Jacob and what he is capable of doing but as long as he still believes am dead, that won’t be a problem for me. I’ll have to warn Scott’s wife so they’ll know the kind of person Jacob is.”
She sighed. “This is risky Melissa, am so worried this might put you in trouble.”
I smiled. “Don’t worry mom, I know i’ll definitely succeed.”
“Please, be careful.”
“I will, bye mom.” I turned to open the door.

He sat on a stool with a glass of alcohol in his hand, staring into space. I wondered what he could be thinking about so I walked to him. I gave him a back hug, care$sing his cheek.
“Hey.” I whispered in his ears.
“Jessica.” He exclaimed, dropping his drink on the table, I disengaged from him and stayed in front of him.
“What are you pondering on?.” I asked, sitting on the stool opposite him.
“Nothing important.” He ran his fingers through his hair.
“Are you sure?.” I scoffed, arching a brow at him.
“Common talk to mama, you know mom cares a lot about you.” I said nibbling on my bottom lip as I showed him a glimpse of my bbs.
He smirked and uttered loudly, “Since when do you start caring about me huh?.”
“Now…” I winked at him se.ductively.
He grabbed his drink and jeered at me. “Anyways, am good.” He said.
He was about to take a sip from his alcohol when I sharply collected it from him. I frowned. “Hey, stop being cold will ya!. Just tell me what the hell is bothering ya, that’s all.”
He sighed and began while I listened attentively to whatever he has to say. “I know you ain’t aware of this but, I kind of caused a misunderstanding between Ryan and his fiancée. And you know, being a bad person, I killed her after some shts happened.” He stated.
“Melissa, right?.” I gasped.
“Yeah.” He shrugged.
“Whoa….you’re so bad….!.” I chuckled.
“I know right.”
“So, why should that bug you?. It’s no big deal, you and I know that!.” I said, still not getting his point here cause i know he can’t get upset for murdering someone….
“Well, when I was at his house, Ryan. He told me he saw Melissa…by the way he has no idea she’s dead. But…doesn’t it sound absurd?.”
“It does sound weird tho but since you said you made sure you killed her, then it must be someone who looked a lot like her or he must have been imagining things.” I folded my arms.
“Maybe.” He muttered.
“Hey….don’t let that bother you, okay?.” I touched his chest.
“Yeah sure.” He nodded, I smirked and leaned close to his face, I cupped his cheeks in my hands and pressed my lips against his damp lips.
He reciprocated immediately, we both kssed.
“Let’s have fun, shall we?.” He whispered while I responded with a m’an.

I was about to head upstairs when I sighted him seated on the couch, going through his phone. He looked…..lost in thoughts, is he okay?. I felt worried, it’s strange I feel this way cause normally, I do feel emotionless whenever am with my family. Like, I didn’t give a fk about ’em.
Now, I realised how Jessica made me into a bad person. I feel so relieved we ain’t friends anymore, like….am free from being controlled by her. I like the new me now.
I went to him, he held his phone but….he is very lost in whatever he is thinking about.
“Scott..?.” I called as he didn’t respond, I had to tap him on his shoulder and call his name, again.
“Scott.”
“Huh?.” He faced me, with a confused look.
“Are you okay?.” I asked worriedly.
“Uhm…yeah.” He cleared his throat.
“I don’t think so, you seemed lost.” I said.
“Am fine…wait…why do you care?.” He arched his brow, staring at me suspiciously.
“What?. You’re my brother, why shouldn’t I care?.” I shrugged.
“Oh…” He mouthed.
“Anyways, so what’s up?.”
“Nothing Tonia, mind your business.” He said, standing up to leave.
“Is it because of Riley?.” I said as he stopped on his spot.
“What?.” He asked, facing me.
“Well, bro. Don’t deny it, okay.” I chuckled.
“What do you mean?.” He frowned, folding his arms.
“You know…., now that mom’s around….you two will have to act…..like a couple and I think that is affecting you, dear brother.”
He scoffed. “You think so huh?.”
“H’ll yeah, have seen how you stare at her sometimes without you realising it.” I teased.
“Tonia, stop it!.” He said angrily.
I placed my hands in the air, “Fine…” I surrendered.
“But, don’t say I didn’t warn ya.” I giggled, heading towards the staircase.

“You think so huh?.”
“Hell yeah, have seen how you stare at her sometimes without you realising it.” She smirked.

“Tonia, stop it!.” I clenched my teeth angrily.
“Fine…”
“But, don’t say I didn’t warn ya.” She said as she walked towards the staircase.
I breathe out, moved to the couch and sat on it. I recalled the question she asked, ? Is It Because Of Riley?. ?
Truth be told, yeah I was thinking about her. I couldn’t stop thinking about the kss, how I felt. I was so speechless when she did that, my body became numb.
