Two days Later?
” Everything is going on fine here Sir. Ethan. The children are doing good and within the years about twenty children were adopted into a good family,” the manager said.
” make sure you follow up to know how they’re doing in their various new homes, if anyone of them is being bullied, maltreated or being abuse you should get that family arrested and bring the child back here, we have adequate health facility, support and education to help them,” he said sternly while the manager nodded.
” Yes Sir. That’s what we have been doing,”
“Good,” Lorenzo said.
He walked around with Mr. Marcel behind him as he visits the children arena.
He knows exactly how life on the street was, how difficult and painful it is not to have anyone. But having this organization he wants them to live as family rather than being adopted by some eviI family that would destroy their life.
“Get me Dr. Franco,” he said to Mr. Marcel while he nodded before leaving.
In short time he came with Dr. Franco. The doctor in charged. He was the same person that once injected Mr Kendall with that poisonous substance and the order was from no one but Lorenzo.
“How are the conditions of the sick children? Lorenzo asked.
“They’re doing fine but one of them have to undergo a sugrey which will be done tomorrow,” Dr. Franco.
” It’s okay. Just make sure everyone is doing okay here,” he said.
” I think he’s the one,” one for the kid run to Lorenzo.
” The owner of this foundation! Thank you so much for saving poor people like us,” one of the girl said.
” Thank you so much sir. I was picked from the street just two months ago when I lose my mother during childbirth but am glad my baby sister is also here with me and the nannies are taking good care of her,” one of the teenage boy said while Lorenzo smile.
” This just the purpose of this orphanage to save children right on time and to give him hope for a brighter future ahead. Am an orphan like you and I lost my family at a tender age of fifteen years, so I know what it means.
You’re all safe here and I want you all to see yourself as family because we are all we’ve got, to complete ourselves and live ourselves without discrimination,” he said.
” That’s inspiring,” one of the boy clapped happily.
” Thanks a lot,” the children chorused.
“Your wife and children must be so lucky,” one of the girl said.
” Hey.. did he tell you he has a family? One of the girl nudge her.
” I don’t know! even if he doesn’t have them now when he get to do that later they will be the luckiest,” she shrugged.
Lorenzo just watch them argue as he smile sadly.

Few days Later…
Nadine smile as she combed her hair and packed it in a neat bun. She applied a light make up and swirled in front of her mirror.
“This is the Nadine I use to know,” she said to herself.
She choose not to get stuck in the past as she have moved on already.
She came out bold and told Leonard the whole truth but he never believed her, he insisted they conduct a DNA test to know the real truth.
Miguel has already did that which turn out negative between him and Eric but of course he didn’t believe that, he called his own doctor and they conduct the test using hair sample two days ago.
*”The results will be realeased only when the two families are there together,”** the attorney said to settle the issue and know who actually own the child and who’s custody the child should be with.

“You look beautiful mom. Am happy to see you back on your feet again,” Eric smile.
” I had to Eric, this a crucial moment in our life and i have to be strong for you. Leonard isn’t your real father. Am sure by now you know how evil that man can be,” she said she Eric nodded sadly.
” But who is my real father then? And why aren’t you with him? Did he abandon us? Why isn’t he here? Eric asked innocently while Nadine kept quiet, she felt so sorry for her son to be caught up in all these mess.
“Your real father is a good man Eric, he love us so much and if he was here with us life would have been different,” she said sadly while Eric just looked at her.
” Who is he then? He asked curiously.
” You won’t understand that Eric but one thing am sure of is that everything will be fine soon,” she assured him while he smile.
” It’s okay mother, I trust you,” he said.
Nadine and her family arrived to the hospital, they meet the Enersto’s family already there with their doctor.
“So your marriage to my son was filled with deceit, after seven years of marriage you will come out one day and say Eric isn’t his real son, how deceitful you can be and if this rumours is actually true I will make sure you regret ever deceiving us,” Leon’s mom said to Nadine.
” It’s your son that will go back to jail again. He had his chance to have another child of his own with Nadine but what did he do, he destroyed everything and beat her to stupor until she had a miscarriage, he almost raped her and was emotionally humiliating her.
Your son is the beast, he doesn’t deserves to be a father and am so glad he wasn’t the real father of my grandson. You have no grandson and after today you will never see my daughter nor my grandson,” Julianna said Sternly.
” My mom have said everything. If Leon should continue to disturb me after this I will sue him to court and make sure he rot in prison forever,”
Nadine said icily while Leonard just looked at her. She looked more beautiful these days and seems like nothing is bothering her anymore. He wondered what she was having in mind this time.
“The result is out and it’s directly from the laboratory,” the doctor hand it over to Their attorney while the attorney gave it to Leonard to read it first.
His expression changed, as he go through it. Eric was who sitting beside Nadine was scared when he was the expression Leonard’s face.
“Let me see it,” his dad collect he result from his hand and read through it.
“Am sorry Leonard but the result here shows that you aren’t related to Eric in anyway. It actually turn out negative,” the doctor announced.
” That’s means the child belongs to Nadine and since your marriage is void, the child belongs to the mother and I hope with this you will let Nadine and her child live in peace,” the attorney said while Leonard gritted his teeth in anger.
The thought of Eric not being is son is getting him crazy already. So all these while he has loved and cared for Lorenzo’s child and not his.
“So that is it, The Enersto’s! you have no grandson and your poor son Leon have no son with my daughter. Am sure everything is well understood here,” Josie said seeing the shock and angry look on their face.
” Stay away from my sister. It’s all over now,” Miguel warned while Leon just kept mute as he felt his whole world crumbling down on him.
“This something I should have say a long time ago but am glad i did it now because you’ve pushed me to the wall. Eric isn’t your son and am not your wife.
I will push through with our annulment and this time you have to sign the divorce papers, it’s a must! Nadine said as she held Eric hand and they walked out leaving the Enersto’s still in shock…

“Yay! I made it mom just exactly how I wished for during my birthday,” excited Eric smile as he trail behind Nadine who walk into the kitchen.
“And am so happy for you baby,”
“Am no longer a baby mom. Am a young man now just as dad use to call me” he said sadly. Nadine knew his mind will go down to Leonard.
“You’re my baby always! and at the same time my young man too,” she said cheerfully while Eric smile.
” So wishes do come true?
” Of course they do,” Nadine smile as she washed her hands and wipe it with a napkin.
“Have you eaten dinner?
” Am not hungry mom, uncle Miguel took us out to celebrate. Lily and Sharon got the best grades too. We had fun today,” He smile, Nadine smile back seeing Eric happy these days is more than she could ask for, despite the ups and downs and Leonard’s threat he still manage to write his exams well and he got the best grades.
“Grandpa told me we will go on a family vacation this Christmas including uncle Miguel’s family. It will be so fun just like last year, getting to meet the santa Claus and going for shopping…,” Eric keep blabbing while Nadine just listened to him. He talks too much when he’s happy.
She walked to the dining table and sat down while Eric sat beside her.
“You aren’t saying anything mom, am I disturbing you?” He pout
“Of course not. I just want to listen to you first. Your grandpa is right but we haven’t chosen the place first. Miguel will do that for us. We has a lot of amazing place we could visit this Christmas holiday, maybe to Florida, California or Paris,” she shrugged
” I wish dad is here,” Eric said after some silence.
” We’ve talk about this Eric…
” I know Mom am just talking about my real father right! You said Leonard isn’t my real dad then who is actually my real dad, why isn’t he here with us? Eric asked innocently while Nadine sighed, not ready for Eric’s questions again.
“Or maybe if make a wish he will come back to us since wishes do come true,” he smile.
” Not all wishes come true Eric, that’s life especially when it something irreservible,” Nadine said sadly.
” What do you mean mom?
” I will explain everything to you when am done eating. Mummy is so tired now,” she said.
” It’s okay mom. Maybe I should feed you then,” he smile taking a spoonful of the meal as he brought it close to her mouth.
“Thanks Son,” she smile..

“Am happy to see them this happy again,” Julianna said to Josie as they watch Nadine and Eric from the stairs.
“Am glad Nadine has moved on already and that good for nothing Leonard has moved on too. Everything is now going on well,” Josie said.
” Poor Lorenzo,” Julianna thought. Thinking of Eric being his son remind her of him. If only he’s still alive.
“I know in due time Nadine will find someone who will love her truly just as Lorenzo once did” she said.

Leonard paced to and fro as he fold his fist in anger.
“You are nothing but so useless to me and the company now,” Enersto yelled at him when he stormed into his office.
” Dad…,” Leonard open his mouth to talk but stopped half way when his dad walked close to him.
“The sales are going down, there’s a high turnover rate, our key workers are resigning, we are gradually loosing our value and you don’t even realize that. Can’t you see that the company is about to go down, I thought I can entrust you with these Leon,” his dad yelled.
” Am trying my best,” Leonard muttered in frustration.
” Trying your best! And yet nothing is working out well. You’ve already brought shame to us and that will give the Montes more courage to laugh at us.
Even your marriage with Nadine couldn’t work out because of your foolishness, if you were still together with her then atleast we’ll have a support system but now we are all going down,” he sneered.
” I will fix the mess,” Leonard scoffed as he walked out of the office in anger.
