THE NEXT DAY …
(The hospital)
“Mom , Ariel called sleepy she had just woken up from her sleep ,she had never slept so well in forever ,that was more like the first time she felt comfortable .
“Oh dear you are awake ,sorry I slept off watching you sleep ,Mrs Damien replied .
“It’s fine mom ,I am happy you are here with…..,she was cut short by the door opening .
The doctor also know as doctor Charles , walked in to see the two ladies already awake ,he was there earlier but they were both asleep ,so he had to return .
“Good morning ladies ,he greeted with all smilies .
“Morning doctor Charles ,Mrs Damien replied .
“Good morning sir , Ariel also replied .
“How are you feeling dear ,he asked Ariel .
“I am feeling so much better ,thank you she replied honestly.
“That’s great news ,I came to inform you that you will be discharged today by God’s grace ,so I will prescribe the drugs you will be needing for your health ,the nurse will bring them to you, and do make sure you eat properly before taking this drugs ,he said .
“Yes doctor ,she replied .
“That’s a good girl , I will take my leave now .
“Doctor Charles please wait ,I would like to have a word with you ,Mrs Damien said .
“Alright come with me to the office .
Mrs Damien and doctor Charles left Ariel’s ward heading to his office ,soon they got there and doctor Charles ushered her in ,as she took her seat she dropped the bombshell .
“Will Ariel ever be able to see ,she asked with concern.
“Ma’am ,I cannot assure you that ,untill some test are to be carried out and again I am not an optician, so I won’t be able to answer that question. But I have a friend who has a hospital in China, he is an optician and a very professional one at that.
The problem is that he is always too busy, but I will talk to him about you. He will be glad to help, but creating an appointment with him might just be the only problem. But not to worry I will see what I can do. He assured .
“Thank you doctor Charles , please I will pay any amount just for Ariel to see again ,she replied .
“Don’t worry Mrs Damien ,I will do my very best to make sure that happens ,he stated .
“Thank you Charles ,I will take my leave now ,I will be coming next week to see if I could meet up with your friend ,she said .
“No problem ma ,I would be waiting ,he replied.
“Okay bye, she said .
“Bye ma’am ,he replied as she walked out of his office.

FAST-FORWARD ????????
Mrs Damien’s Mansion?
“Welcome to your new home Ariel , Mrs Damien said happily as she walked into the mansion with Ariel holding her for support.
Ariel was also holding unto her new rod , this one was with in colour the doctor had given it to her before they left the hospital .
Mrs Damien walked Ariel into the house and directed Ariel to the cushion to seat ,she then told Asher to summon all the maids ,guards and other workers in the house ,she had a very important message to pass unto them .
Soon the all arrived lining accordingly to their position,Asher was also lined up with them even after knowing what the big announcement was.
“Good day everyone ,as you can all see I am not alone ,I came home with a someone you must have never seen before ,so I would like to introduce her to you all ,Mrs Damien said .
She walked up to where Ariel sat and helped her up ,then took her to stand in front of all the workers ,she was made to face them all ,the workers had already started whispering to each other .
?Who do think she is ?
?I think she is blind !
? WOW !She is very beautiful .
? What is she doing here .
Mrs Damien got angry hearing all they were saying and quickly shunned them all.
“Silence ,she yelled at them and they all kept quiet .
“Now, this young lady here is my daughter, you all will serve her the way you serve me and even more, because she is blind. You all must double your effort in serving so that she will be satisfied. And anybody who doesn’t take proper care of her will be sacked immediately.
Did you all get me? She asked sternly .
“Yes ma’am , they all chorused .
“Good , Miranda and Tania ,you both will be her personal .aid and you must make sure she never lacks anything she wants ,I will be going shopping for everything she will need at home and also in school so do take good care of her before I get back ,she said to them.
“Yes ma’am ,they chorused again.
“Ariel darling ,I need to go shopping for everything you need okay , you will be resuming school next week ,how do you like that ,she asked .
“I would love that very much mom , Ariel replied .
“That’s my daughter ,when I get back we will know ourselves better okay ,bye dear ,she said then gave Ariel a hug before leaving with Asher tailing behind.
“Welcome ,young madam , Miranda said smiling .
“Thank you , Ariel replied .
“Everyone is dismissed , Miranda said ,she was the second in command and also the chief maid .
Everyone dispersed leaving only Ariel , Miranda and Tania .
” Tania tell Jon (the cook)to prepare some food for young madam , while I give her a bath , Miranda said and Tania nodded .
” Come on young madam ,let’s get you cleaned up , Miranda said .
“Okay , Ariel simple said , and Miranda helped up to her new room .
Ariel was happy she now had a new home with a good woman as a mother ,she had never felt this loved before ,but somehow her soul wasn’t at peace ,but she didn’t know why.
