Episode 8
“Oh my God Ariel , you look beautiful in this dress ,Mrs Damien said adoring the dress Jon had helped Ariel put on .
Mrs Damien had taken Ariel up to her room and decided to fit her in all the clothes and accessories she bought and Ariel told Jon to tag along since she was comfortable with only her .
“Yes ma’am I agree with you ,she looks like an angel in this dress , Jon chipped in.
Ariel was putting on a sky blue off shoulder dress with diamonds decorated in a flower pattern ,the dress matched the colour of her eyes , making it look extra ordinary .
“Do I really look good in this dress , Ariel asked running her hands through it .
“Yes my dear ,I say we keep this dress for a special occasion , what do you think , Mrs Damien asked .
“Yes ma’am you are right ,Jon agreed .
“But what special occasion will that be , Ariel asked.
“How about your birthday or Jerald’s , what do you think ma’am , Jon asked .
“I think Ariel’s birthday will be great , Ariel do you by any chance know the date you were born , Mrs Damien asked.
“No I don’t but the kids who took care when they found me told me ,it was on the 3rd of July they saw me near a trash can , Ariel replied , Mrs Damien and Jon gasped .
“3rd of July ?, Mrs Damien said more like a question.
“What’s wrong , Ariel asked .
“Nothing is wrong Ariel , it’s just that Jerald birthday is that same day as the one you mentioned , Jon answered .
“Oh wow , that’s great I guess , it’s gonna be a double celebration , Ariel said.
“Yes you are right ,my two children celebrating their birthdays the same day ,this is a blessing to me , Mrs Damien said and stood up to hug Ariel while Jon smiled .
“Mom can I ask a question that has been bothering me , Ariel asked.
“Yes dear what is it, Mrs Damien replied .
“If you have accepted me as your child does that mean I have a dad as well , Ariel asked .
“Yes Ariel , you would have had one if only he was alive ,Mrs Damien said.
Ariel detected sadness in the reply Mrs Damien had given her ,so she quickly asked what happened.
“Mom what’s wrong you sound sad .
“It’s nothing Ariel am fine , your supposed father is dead ,he died three years ago ,but I am very sure that he is happy to know you are with me and if he was alive he was surely going to accept you like his own ,Mrs Damien said.
“Am sorry your loss mom ,I shouldn’t have brought that up ,so sorry , Ariel said in an apologetic manner .
“Oh dear forget about it , let’s fit you in your school uniform already ,Mrs Damien said giggling happily.
“Alright mom , Ariel replied .

FAST-FORWARD ????????
(Monday morning)
“Ariel wake up it’s time for school ,Mrs Damien said patting Ariel gently on her shoulder .
She had woken up so early today ,to get Ariel ready for school before she left for work .
Ariel groaned slightly as she turned to another direction ,still fast asleep ,Mrs Damien sigh maybe she was too early ,it was actually 5:30 am ,it was Ariel’s fist day and she didn’t want her to get to school late or maybe she was just overreacting ,she would let Ariel sleep for 30 more minutes before she would return .
She stood up excited the room heading to her own room ,she needed to prepare for work immediately so she could have enough time in helping Ariel get ready for school .

30 MINUTES LATER …
Mrs Damien walked into Ariel’s room for the second time , but this time with Miranda and Tania ,she was already dressed up for work .
“Miranda prepare her bath , while you get her uniform ready ,I would wake her up myself ,Mrs Damien ordered .
“Yes ma’am , they both chorused .
“Ariel darling , wake up already you don’t want to be late on your first day of school ,Mrs Damien said sweetly but Ariel didn’t budge ,she kept snoring silently .
“Ma’am let me try , Jon said walking into the room ,she had been watching how Mrs Damien tried waking Ariel up but was failing woefully .
“Oh Jon thank you but you are supposed to be in the kitchen preparing breakfast ,Mrs Damien said.
“I am done already , that’s why I came here ,she replied .
“Alright give it a try ,she must have been very tired from yesterday’s outing , Mrs suggested.
“Thank you ma’am, Jon said and walked up to Ariel. She placed her hands under Ariel’s armpit and tickled the day light out of her, within the twinkle of an eye Ariel woke up giggling and begging Jon to stop , while Mrs Damien laughed her bu.tt out .
Jon finally stopped tickling Ariel, she helped her sit up right while Mrs Damien signaled Miranda to come take her for a bath .
Miranda approached them scornfully looking at Jon who didn’t seem to care. She was clearly angry at how free Ariel was with Jon. What if Mrs Damien promotes Jon and demotes her? Things would surely turn out bad.
Miranda helped Ariel into the bathroom and placed her into the bathtub to take her bath. She helped Ariel in bathing but her mind was clearly somewhere else .
*Why does she have to like Jon this much *she thought to herself .
She was so lost in thought that she started scrubbing the bathtub instead of Ariel.
Ariel noticed this and asked “Is there a problem “.
Miranda hearing Ariel’s voice snapped out of her thoughts to see the mess she was making .
“Oh sorry I was lost in thoughts, pardon me. She apologized and started afresh, but she was still disturbed, so she decided to ask Ariel some questions .
“Young ma’am , if you wouldn’t mind can I ask you some questions? She asked.
“Sure , Ariel replied.
“Thank you ma’am I was thinking …. Ariel cut her short by saying “please don’t call me ma’am , Ariel would be much better please ,she said .
“Sorry Ariel ,I just want to know why you like Jon so much, is it her food or does she give you something else? She asked making Ariel burst into laughter.
“No Miranda, she doesn’t give me anything, she’s just really friendly and has a kind heart that’s why I like. I love everyone in this building cause they all accepted me even you. So no need to worry. Ariel said making Miranda sigh in relief .
Miranda was happy to know Ariel liked her ,all she needed to do was make sure she became her favorite, she had her reasons.
She bathed Ariel wore a robe and helped her out of the bathroom into her room while Tania helped dress up. Jon already left to pack up Ariel’s lunch.
Mrs Damien waited patiently for Ariel to get dressed before she took her down stairs to have breakfast .

After breakfast , Asher drove them both to Ariel’s school , Mrs Damien already hired a personal guard specially for Ariel ,she bid Ariel good bye and promised to pick her after school , Ariel bid her good bye as well before Zach (new bodyguard) took her into school .
Everyone was looking at her , especially boys , because of how beautiful she looked in her school uniform , but they were all surprised and a few saddened that she was blind ,due to the fact that she was holding a rod to watch her steps and a man dressed like a guard was holding her hands .
?Who the he.ll is this damsel ?
? Wow she is so beautiful but sadly blind.
?Why is another blind student coming to our school again ?
?I bet she’s on scholarship .
Good and bad comments were made but Ariel still kept her smile on ,she didn’t let any word of the other students get to her because she was used to it .
Soon they got to the principal’s office and Zach helped Ariel in her registration order from Mrs Damien .
“You are very welcome miss Ariel Damien ,the principal said and gave Zach everything she would need in school before they left his office .
