Ariel and family arrived Italy by 4:00pm ,there was a car waiting for them ,sent by their business partner,in less than an hour they arrived their new home.
“Welcome to our new abode ,ken said as the whole family walked into the spacious sitting room of the mansion he bought in a very popular and expensive estate.
“Wow dad this looks great and pretty expensive , better than our old house, Kathrine replied as she sat comfortably on the cushion.
“It nice dear ,I see where Katherine got her habit for beautiful things , Kimberly said and ken chuckled.
“Come on Ariel let’s go upstairs and choose a room for our selves, Kathrine said and held unto Ariel’s hand pulling her up.
“Careful kath and don’t stress Ariel she needs to rest ,her surgery is gonna begin tomorrow, Kimberly said and Katherine nodded and rushed upstairs.
“Kim the doctor said two days after our arrival ,it’s definitely not tomorrow,are you that eager to witness her see again,ken asked.
“Yes I am ,but the doctor sent me a text this morning saying,he rescheduled it to tomorrow ,he wouldn’t be in the country after tomorrow, Kimberly explained.
“Why didn’t you inform me earlier,ken asked.
“Well I am informing you now,and stop blaming me I forgot okay just really excited.
“Seriously Kim , you are something else,ken replied and went upstairs.
“Love you too,Kim yelled from behind.

Mrs Damien woke up in the hospital ,a drip was connected to her hand ,she stared around like a lost puppy her head was blank,she adjusted herself on the bed when a nurse walked in .
“Ma’am you are awake,that’s good news,she said smiling.
“Why am I here , Mrs Damien asked confused.
“Ma’am a young man brought you here ,he said he saw you fall unconscious at the airport after going through your phone ,we already contacted the last person you called on the phone ,he presently outside waiting for the doctor’s permission to see you,the nurse explained.
Mrs Damien thought for a while,what was she doing at the airport, and why would she fall unconscious,then just like a flash everything that happened earlier came surfacing,she instantly remembered everything, Jerald had an accident ,that was why she fainted.
“Oh my God , where’s my son ,she asked.
“Who are you talking about ma’am,I am new here , maybe I should call the man ,the nurse said and quickly rushed out to call Asher .
Asher rushed into the ward to see Mrs Damien,his eyes were puffy and red ,he had been crying ,but for who exactly ?
“Asher where’s Jerald , Mrs Damien asked.
“Ma’am,I am sorry ,I tried to stop him but he was so adamant that he almost went violent,I tried telling you on the phone but you didn’t wait for me to say anything, Asher said , Mrs Damien realized that was why he was calling her ,she had done this countless of time ,not even wanting to hear anything from the other side .
“Where Jerald, please take me to my son , Mrs Damien cried out .
“Ma’am he’s not in this hospital,but at doctor Charles’s hospital , Asher said.
“I don’t care just take me to him,I want to see my son , Mrs Damien said,she removed the drip attached to her hand and ran out of the hospital not caring how she looked,this was her only son , someone who can never leave her no matter what.
Asher hurriedly ran after Mrs Damien ,she had no idea which car he brought ,but she was so determined to see her son ,she got into the first car she saw but there was no key, fortunately for her that was the same car Asher brought to the hospital ,he gave her the keys and got in ,Mrs Damien roared the engine back to life and drove off in high speed .
Soon they got to doctor Charles hospital , Mrs Damien packed her car recklessly and ran into the hospital immediately to doctor Charles office.
Doctor Charles was more than surprised to see Mrs Damien looking like a mad woman,she was in hospital wears ,some bandages were left on her hands ,her hair was rough and eyes were red.
“Charles where’s my son ,I want to see him please, Mrs Damien said.
“Claire please come in ,you don’t look good please have a seat, let’s talk , doctor Charles said and Mrs Damien nodded obediently .
“What happened to Jerald , how’s he ,she asked restlessly trying to catch her breath.
“Claire , you have to be strong cause what you are about to hear might make you lose your senses ,but you are the only family he has left ,if I don’t tell you ,then there is no one else to tell, Doctor Charles said.
“Please tell me I really need to know.
“You have to promise not to freak out after I tell you this .
“I promise I won’t , please talk to me , Mrs Damien pleaded.
“Jerald was brought here few hours ago ,his situation was a tough one,I had to invite a lot of doctors to work on him ,but still he is yet to be out of danger ,after running some test on him we found out that he had brain tumor, and he hit his head really hard during the impact of the accident , it’s a miracle he didn’t damage any internal organ apart from his brain,I had no idea something like this was happening to Jerald ,due to his brain tumor ,he had become mentally unstable,which meant he wouldn’t be able to think straight , and can be very violent at times ,how come you never told me Jerald was suffering like this, doctor Charles asked a dumbfounded Mrs Damien.
“Brain tumor , Jerald has brain tumor ,that’s impossible my Jerald isn’t suffering from anything ,it can’t possibly be, he has never hide anything from me before,I gave birth to him ,I know him ,he doesn’t hide things from me I am his best friend, Jerald is fine , nothing is wrong with him , Mrs Damien said crying profusely oposing to doctor Charles words as she shook her head negatively.
“Jerald accident was really deadly ,he has 50 percent chance of getting out of here alive ,why I said 50 is because my friend I told you about is visiting tomorrow ,I just informed him and he promised to be here by morning so that the surgery can start as early as possible, he’s the only one that can assure Jerald’s another chance to live, doctor Charles explained.
“I had no idea Jerald was suffering from brain tumor,he never for once told me about it ,why is he always like this ? Mrs Damien asked her self.
“Why would he tell you ,when all you cared about was a another man’s child ,you caused all these Claire ,you were just too obsessed with Ariel ,you neglected your own son Claire ,all this boy did was show you how much he loved you but what did he get at the end , neglect ,he came to me few weeks ago ,he poured out his soul to me Claire ,what type of a mother are you ,why did you neglect your own son that you spent years of your life with , for a girl you barely know ,who would open up to such a mother ,if I was in shoes I won’t be able to even call you mom ,I know you guys had a fight and that’s why he’s in that bed right now fighting for his life ,all because of you , where’s your precious daughter now ,why isn’t she here with you Claire ,answer me , doctor Charles half yelled.
“She’s with her real parents , Jerald chased her out through his actions , Mrs Damien replied unable to look at doctor Charles in the eyes,she was starting to feel guilty.
“She’s with her real parents, blood is thicker than water Claire. You tried to take this girl away from her family, now she’s presently with them. Where’s your son you treated like he never existed? He is on the sick bed, all because of you. You have always been selfish from the onset.
You were so obsessed with riches after Damien picked us all from the streets, and gave us life, Antonio rapped you because of the same thing you did to Jerald. You were starting to neglect him for Damien and his riches. You want to know something? I am happy Antonio rapped you and got you pregnant with Jerald.
We knew you where planning to give Damien your vrgnity so you could get pregnant with his child and get married to him. You caused the death of my best friend, he only left to work for you and his child. He did his best for you, and when he came back, he was welcomed with your wedding invitation with Damien. He was already suffering from a hole in his heart seeing that invitation ended his life. You are doing the same to Jerald, but this time you won’t succeed. I regret ever knowing you. Doctor Charles said.
He cleaned his tears picked up a file and left the office angrily leaving a devastated Mrs Damien to herself.
