THE NEXT DAY ?…..
“I can’t believe you are going to see after today , Kathrine said happily to an exited Ariel.
“Me too ,I am so eager to know what exactly you look like and that of your parents too, and I wish ‘mom’, Ariel replied.
“Don’t be sad Ariel today’s a big day okay , and don’t worry about anything just focus on your surgery which is going to be successful, Kathrine assured and Ariel smiled.
“Thanks kath ,you are a true friend,you are more like a sister to me ,love you very much , Ariel said to Kathrine who pulled her into a hug immediately.
“I love you more, Kathrine replied.
“So how about we wear matching outfits today , Ariel suggested.
“Sure why not ,I will pick the outfits,be right back, Kathrine coed ,she walked into their closet to look for matching outfits they could both wear for the big day.
“Hope it’s nothing too tight, Ariel asked.
“Of course not ,it’s perfect no need to worry , Kathrine replied and continued her search.
“Oh kath, there’s something I want to ask you ,if you don’t mind , Ariel stated.
“Go ahead ,am all hears , Kathrine replied.
“What happened to you and Jerald’s best friend , Ariel asked the question that has been bothering her for long.
“What do you mean, Kathrine asked.
“The other day we had an encounter with Jerald ,he was talking about his friend not having anything to do with his actions , and that you shouldn’t blame him for anything,what was he talking about, Ariel asked.
Kathrine stood silently for a while,she had completely forgotten about her ordeal with Landon , and she never got to talk to him ,worst part was she already blocked his number from her account.
“Oh ,it was nothing exactly just forget about it ,come on let’s go have our bath , Kathrine replied trying to change the topic.
“You are lying kath ,I can feel you are lying to me , please open up to me ,we are best friends, Ariel said making Kathrine sigh in defeat.
Ariel’s right , she’s her best friend and the only person she can open up to freely , it’s wrong hiding things from her.
“An sorry for keeping this from you ,after you told me about what Jerald did ,I charged towards his best friend,he happens to be my pen pal on social media,we met at your birthday ,I couldn’t control my emotions because it all played along the line ,I left the party because we wanted to spend some time together and get to know each other better, I had no idea something bad would happen to you Ariel ,I was pained that I confronted him and accused him of something I wasn’t sure of ,but I am still yet to be convinced even after Jerald said he had nothing to do with it,I just have a little doubt,but it doesn’t matter anymore because I don’t think I will ever find him again,he already left for France , Kathrine narrated with a sad face.
“I am so sorry Kathrine, it’s all my fault ,I wish I was never born, Ariel stated but Kathrine nodded negatively.
“Don’t say such Ariel , it’s a blessing to have you here on earth with me , never think bad about yourself ,it doesn’t help OK,now let’s go have our bath and get ready before mom comes in to nag , Kathrine whispered and Ariel chuckled, Kimberly is a queen in nagging,she nags a lot.

DOCTOR CHARLES HOSPITAL ?…..
“Good morning Dr Charles,I can see you are all set ,Dr Garry said walking into the office.
“Morning Garry ,yes I am the patient is some one who is very important to me ,I can’t afford to lose him ,Dr Charles replied.
“wow , Charles I have never seen you this determined before, Dr Garry said amused .
“That’s because I have never been determined before ,if I was then maybe Antonio would be alive today,Dr Charles replied.
“Come on Charles you have always been determined,you decided to save lives ,when Antonio died and there was nothing you could do, that’s determination ,Dr Garry said truthfully.
“Yeah you are right,this time I will make sure nothing happens to his heir ,I will fulfill his last wish ,Dr Charles stated boldly earning a thumbs up from Dr Garry.
“Good luck Charles,Dr Garry said and Dr Charles smiled .

OPERATION THEATER ? …
Both doctor Walked into the operating theater ,all doctors were present and currently waiting,Dr Garry was the chief
operator, while Dr Charles was the assistant .
Dr Charles took up his safety hair net, surgical gloves and mask putting them on so did the rest of the doctors.
Jerald was laid on the bed with bandages around his body ,the was also on a life supporting machine .
Dr Charles took one look at Jerald ,he closed his eyes and muttered a short prayer , before the operation started.
There was a lump in Jerald’s brain which caused his brain tumor,the doctors aim was to get the lump out successfully, this was one of the most risky and strict operations that requires only professional, and there more than five doctors present in the room.
The operation lasted For 15 hours straight without any break, finally the lump was removed and Jerald’s condition was likely to become stable but it was the opposite.
Jerald was starting to have a cardiac arrest , which made all the doctors panic ,this usually happens when something is done wrong during the operation or the patient is being disturbed ,in most cases doctors make mistakes that causes cardiac arrest but in Jerald’s case ,he seemed to be in distress , something was wrong and it wasn’t from the operation but from him.
“Sir ,I think he’s having a cardiac arrest,a co doctor said .
“Charles do something ,we are losing him ,Dr Garry said .
Dr Charles held unto Jerald’s hand ,he was having a bad dream or something , that could be the reason why he’s having a cardiac arrest.
The medical machine showing the lines of Jerald’s consciousness was going thin and straight every passing minute ,soon he started jerking continuously .
Everyone’s face held panic ,as Jerald continued to jerk , Dr Charles held unto Jerald’s hand,as the other doctors tried to save his life ,but nothing changed as Jerald kept jerking ,he breath was getting faint .
Dr Charles immediately took a CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation),he leveled it up and placed it on Jerald’s chest ,yet nothing changed ,he leveled it up to the highest number and placed it on Jerald’s chest ,this made a mighty effect ,that the whole hospital electricity was affected for a second .
Jerald stopped jerking ,but his life line was already thin and straight ,he breath could no longer be felt ,his body layed numb , one of the doctors came forward and checked his pulse but felt nothing ,he looked up as his eyes waters.
“He’s dead ,he blurted out .
Dr Charles fell to the ground in tears , the other doctors stood with their head low in sorrow ,Dr Garry came and pulled the sheet up to cover Jerald’s face.
Mrs Damien who had been watching all day how they worked on her son stepped out to get her self something to eat ,but came back to witness the room in coarse ,as at that time Jerald was jerking ,she watched all that happened ,she had no idea what happened after Dr Charles fired the CPR to full power,she thought things had now been handled , and there was no problem but she was shocked to see Dr Charles fall to the ground in agony and other doctors shaking their heads , and then Dr Garry coming forward to cover Jerald up to his head like they do in movies when a patient dies .
When a patient dies ,does that mean Jerald is ….
Mrs Damien shook her head in disbelief ,she pushed the door open with an unexplainable force which got it open , everyone attention turned to her ,but she didn’t care at that moment ,she rushed towards her son and removed the sheet covering his face .
“How dare you people cover my son like a dead man ,how dare you ,she screamed at the doctors .
“Claire please ,calm down Jerald is dead,Dr Garry said but Mrs Damien shunned him .
“My son cannot leave me , he’s not dead ,it’s impossible for him to be dead , impossible.
“Jerald , it’s me mom please wake up ,I am so sorry I had no idea i was doing something wrong to you ,give me a chance to recify my mistakes,I am sorry I treated you like you never existed ,I am sorry I neglected,I am sorry I never understood your love for me,I am sorry I let you yearn for my love and still didn’t get it,I am sorry I used harsh means on you calm my anger down ,I am sorry I used wrong words on you ,I am sorry for breaking your heart, it’s all my fault if I wasn’t being to obsessed in trying to raise a female child ,you wouldn’t be here today, it’s all my fault I treated Ariel with so much love and forgot about you ,I am sorry Jerald ,I should have loved you both equally , maybe you would grow to accept her ,it’s all my fault , I am not a good mother , please Jerald don’t leave me please , don’t leave like you father did , please bear with me I am sorry .
“wake up Jerald, please wake up ,Mrs Damien screamed as tears ran down her face ,the doctors tried to get her out of the room when , Jerald’s life machine beeped , everyone’s attention turned towards it then to Jerald who was now breathing again .
Mrs Damien released her self from the doctors grip and ran to her son who’s eyes were now open ,Dr Charles rushed to where Jerald was ,he checked him to see he was still going to have an arrest ,but it was clear , Jerald kept looking around ,like a lost puppy .
“Jerald my son ,you are alive , thank you for not leaving me thank you so much, Mrs Damien said holding his hand tightly not wanting to let go, Jerald still yet kept looking at each and every one until he voiced out faintly.
“Who are you ,he said staring at Mrs Damien who face was now in shock.
