“Sorry about your present condition ,I can’t imagine how you feel right now, Princess said in sympathy to Kathrine as they took a walk around the hospital.
“Thanks for your concern ,you guys really helped a lot with your visit , Kathrine said with a sad sigh .
“You have to be strong for your family, your mother needs you now the most ,I have never been in such situation before,all i can say is never give up , and I pray your sister comes back to you and your parents safely, Princess said assuringly , which made Kathrine smile a little , she’s a really sweet girl.
“How old are you Princess, Kathrine asked curiously.
“I am eleven ,why do you ask , Princess asked.
“Nothing I was just curious to know ,urmm how’s your brother doing, Kathrine asked.
“He’s fine , being off lately but still okay ,he still has time for me but not much she spends more time staring at his phone than before ,I am starting to get worried about him , Princess replied.
“Sorry about that ,things are gonna be fine , Kathrine said patting Princess lightly .
“Thanks , let’s take a sit over that bench ,my legs are tired , Princess suggested and Kathrine agreed .
They both sat on the bench ,I total silence, for Kathrine’s mind wasn’t with her ,she must have caused Landon do much pain that his sister even noticed it.
“I need to use the restroom ,I will be back in a jiffy , Princess informed Kathrine before she left .
Kathrine now alone went back to thinking about her life and all that has been going on,she really felt sorry for Ariel who had been through so much pain and still yet smile,she couldn’t blame the poor girl for attempting to end her life .”hi ” Kathrine suddenly heard from behind ,she knew who it was by just the voice .
“Landon ,urmm what are you doing here , Kathrine asked nervously.
“I came to get Princess but she’s not here ,I guess I will go search for her somewhere else, Landon said and turned around to go but Kathrine stopped him.
“I am sorry , she suddenly said without looking at him .
“Sorry for what , Landon asked.
“I am sorry for blaming you that day , Jerald confessed about you being innocent ,I shouldn’t have done what I did,it was stupid and I am really sorry , Kathrine appologized.
“It’s fine Kathrine ,I understand you ,what Jerald did was wrong and he is my best friend, so you had every right to accuse me of knowing something, Landon replied.
“Thanks for being understanding and accepting my apology , Kathrine replied.
“About Jerald , he’s here in Italy , Landon said making Kathrine turn to him in surprise .”I don’t get you , Kathrine asked believing her ears heard wrong .
“He’s here in Italy , he’s actually connected to my dad in some ways , before you get angry and all listen to me , Jerald’s not in his right sense,he lost his memory a month ago in a ghastly accident , that almost claimed his life , everything he did to Ariel wasn’t really intentional ,he was suffering from brain tumor and this made him mentally unstable ,I found out this morning when I saw him in my house talking to my dad , Landon explained .
Kathrine was stunned to hear all that Landon said ,she didn’t want to believe but she also didn’t have any other option , Landon couldn’t possibly lie.
“I can’t believe this ,are you really sure about what you are saying of Jerald being here and losing his memory , Kathrine said with little doubt.
“It’s all true I can’t lie to you,I went online after receiving the news from my dad ,I went online and searched for the internet for news on Jerald’s case , and I saw some new of what happened to Jerald, and even few pictures of him in the pool of his own bIood , it’s really heartbreaking to watch ,now he doesn’t recognize anyone ,not even his own mother , not even me , Landon stated sadly .
“I had no idea something like this really happened ,I thought he was leaving his best life ,this life is so weird , Kathrine said in amusement.
“Yeah it sure is , and he’s no longer know as Jerald Damien,but Austin Ferdinand, and it has been noted by my mom that he mustn’t find out about his past ,it’s going to help him a lot before he remembers any thing.
“His he the son your dad was talking about ,that went missing with Karen, Kathrine asked after realization.
“Yes , he’s the one ,I am scared she might recognize him ,he won’t be able to explain himself , because he remembers nothing at all ,this has made me anxious all day , Landon said.
“Gosh , why does everything always turn out bad anytime we try bring good ,I can’t tell mom now ,she will be worried as hell ,I can only tell dad ,but his not here yet , Kathrine complained .
“We should head inside , it’s getting late , Landon advised.
“What about Princess , Kathrine asked.
“She should be inside already ,I actually told her to leave so I can spend some time with you, Landon confessed .
“Seriously , let’s just go I already have so many problems in my life .

“Dad ,you are back already ,how did the search go , where’s Karen , Kathrine asked immediately she set her eyes on her father.
Ken and David returned back to the hospital thirty minutes later , Kimberly was asleep , while Anastasia was working on her laptop ,few minutes after their arrival, Kathrine and Landon also returned ,turns out Princess never went to the restroom ,she was actually with her mother helping out .
“We didn’t find her ,it was too late and dark to continue the search ,do we where asked to return tomorrow to complete it ,ken said with a gruffy voice ,he had being void of emotions ,since he returned back to the hospital .
“Sorry Kathrine ,we really tried but it was getting too dark ,to continue the search , but you don’t have to worry ,by tomorrow we will surely find your sister , David said .
“Oh no ,this is really bad ,why is this happening to us ,gosh I am so tired , what’s going to happen when mom finds out , if she wakes up , Kathrine asked worriedly.
“I don’t know dear ,but not to worry , before she wakes up ,I won’t be here ,we will be leaving very early tomorrow ,ken replied confusing Kathrine .
“Why did you say that, Kathrine asked curiously.
“Due to the sad news , Anastasia suggested , your mom should be injected with a liquid sleeping pill ,so that she would not wake up to hear this news .
“Yes Kathrine ,it’s the only way to keep her asleep for the time being , and we all should be positive about finding Karen and Austin , Anastasia said .
“I was right , Kathrine suddenly said .
“About what ,ken asked .
Kathrine hesitated for a while , she looked at Landon , and he gave her a go ahead sign.”Dad Jerald is presently with Karen as we speak, Kathrine said surprising ken.
“He’s here in Italy ,but how’s that possible I thought he was with his mother in New York,ken asked perplexed.
“Yeah I thought so too , but he wasn’t and then the situation gets worse , Kathrine said.
“What gets wrong ,ken asked.
“Jerald doesn’t remember anything ,he lost his memory in a ghastly accident and he’s known as Austin ,he’s the son David has been talking about, Kathrine explained.
“Really , what a small world ,this is really weird , what are we going to do now , what if Karen recognizes him ,then it’s going to be bad .
“Yes Dad, Jerald is not supposed to regain his memory now ,it would cost a lot of damage , David said.
“That’s why we got his name changed to what his late father wanted ,he’s Antonio’s biological son , Anastasia said .
“Antonio’s biological son, how come I thought it was Damien , how’s Antonio in the picture ,krn asked confused .
David used the opportunity to explain to ken about all that happened years ago , even before Jerald was born ,to why he was presently with them.
“I can’t believe Antonio had an heir ,I always thought he was just a sad lonely man who life didn’t give a chance to find love ,guess he found but definitely not the right one ,ken stated sadly.
“It pains me too , that’s why I want to do every thing on my power to make his son proud of who is father was and also see reasons to work hard, David added.
“This is one of the main reason why Jerald doesn’t regain his memory,in his past life , Damien was his father ,now he believes Antonio is , and it has to stay like that , until he is fully strong in truth ,to handle the lies of his past life , Anastasia explained to everyone’s understanding.
“How did you guys know about Jerald, David asked .
“He used to be Karen’s brother after she was saved by Claire but she wasn’t legally adopted , because of this same Jerald ,he was a torn in her flesh he did an unimaginable thing to her and I am scared to come to the realization , that Karen is pregnant with Jerald’s child , Ken said in agony face palming himself.
“Oh God,he’s the father of her baby,this is the same reason she wanted to kill herself for …..
“But he was there in time to save her ,DESTINY , Kathrine completed David’s supposed words.
“What do we do now, Anastasia asked.
“I suggest we keep this a secret , and let them get as close as possible, and maybe fall in love ,then we will disclose the truth,ken suggested .
“But , Karen’s gonna be hurt when she finds out , what then is going to happen , Kathrine asked.
“I have no idea ,let’s just hope for the best ,pray we find them safely and Karen doesn’t recognize Jerald by any means, David said and everyone nodded in understanding .
“What about mother , how’s she gonna take this issue, Kathrine asked.
“I will try my best to make it work but I am not ensuring any one how long I will be able to handle my daughter’s absence, Kimberly suddenly said , getting everyone scared ,they all turned to see her awake .
“Have you forgotten I am immune to sleeping drugs Kenneth, Kimberly asked but ken remained mute not knowing what to say ,she heard everything ,it’s a miracle she’s still calm .
“Sorry ,ken appologized.
