CHAPTER 32
? SAME DAY, GODIVA’S MANSION~ 10PM
Godiva kept walking around the sitting room restlessly, checking the time at intervals
” Why isn’t he back yet? Where did he go ? He’s not picking his phone.. ” She sighed for the upteenth time
” I’m sure he’s gonna come home.. he’s not a kid yunno”
” He’ll always remain a kid as far as I’m concerned.” She said and Alora shrugged
” Anyway, goodnight babe..” she said and walked Into her room, leaving Godiva behind

Raphael left his room and leaned against the door, staring at Vespertine who was sleeping on the couch
” Why is he proving stubborn?” He wondered, shaking his head
He got back into his room and got a blanket which he used to cover Vespertine before entering back his room
” A master perfumer who’s allegic to perfume? And I can help her heal?” He wondered, lying down on his bed
His mind drifted to what happened in the woods and he frowned
” This is the strangest thing I’ve heard in my whole life ” he sighed, closing his eyes…

Raphael opened his eyes and realized he was in a ware house which looked uncompleted
He looked around and sighted Godiva tied to a chair with her mouth gagged
A frown appeared on his face immediately at the sight
” How dare you steal my man?” He heard another voice and his frown deepened after seeing the owner of the voices
” If I don’t have you, no one else will.. ” The voice said and immediately shot Godiva, Raphael then herself..
Raphael snapped his eyes opened, panting heavily
” What was that?” He asked himself looking at the time. It’s 9am
” It’s morning already.. ” he muttered, stepping out of bed and leaving the room to the sitting room where he met Vespertine still sleeping on the couch
” Is this kid out of his mind?” He muttered and Vespertine yawned
” You’re awake, good morning..” he greeted
” You should get going..” Raphael said
” I will when you agree to go with me.. ”
” Your sister might end up being in danger with me around that house.. ” Raphael replied
” I doubt that..” vespertine smiled leaving the couch
” Where’s the bathroom?” He asked and Raphael pointed at a door
He smiled and entered. He came out minutes later and entered the kitchen
” What are you doing?” Raphael asked
” Making breakfast ” he winked and entered the kitchen fully
He was done in a matter of minutes before setting the table..
He signal to Raphael to come eat but he hesitated
Vespertine walked to him and pulled him to the table, making him seat afterwards
” Go on ” Vespertine urged, with a smile
They both held their spoon, each of them scooping a spoonful of the Mac and cheese into their mouth
They both stopped chewing and exchanged glances
” Have you ever placed a pot on fire?”
” No, Never ” Vespertine held his mouth and ran to the kitchen to spit out the food while Raphael entered his bathroom
The food was ho..rrible.
They both came back and sat down, staring at each other then at the food in front of them
” I’m sorry about this, never knew my first trial would be this horrible” he forced a smile, clearing the table while Raphael chuckle
” I’ll get ready.. it seems you won’t let me be if I continue this way..” Raphael said while Vespertine’s step faltered and the plates fell from his hand shattering into pieces
” Really? You mean you’ll go with me?” He asked excited
” Nope, not after breaking my plates” Raphael said and he grabbed his hands
” I’ll buy them back I promise.. hundred of them, so please don’t say no.. ” he whined cutely while Raphael scoffed
” Clean the mess first ” he said, entering his room
Vespertine scoffed loudly before cleaning up the shattered pieces
Raphael left his room minutes later all dressed
Vespertine sniffed the air around him
” Why are you doing this?” He asked after perceiving the scent of his cologne
” Should I change my mind? not as if I wanted to go anyway” Raphael said
” No need, let’s just go ” vespertine smiled as they both left the house
They met Cerlia outside. She was looking very beautiful as Raphael first met her two years ago
” Who is she?” Vespertine asked staring at the both of them
” She’s a nobody, I don’t even know her.. I think she lives around here not sure though. It’s my first time seeing her..” Raphael said staring at Cerlia who had tears in her eyes because of what he said
” Let’s go.. ” Raphael said to Vespertine and they both left for the club where they met Arnold
” Hey pal, Going somewhere?” Arnold asked
” Yeah, I thought about it and what you said too. Didn’t want your effort to go to waste.. ” Raphael replied and Arnold chuckled
” So, Are you gonna quit?” He asked
” I don’t think so, I’ll be coming back.”.. Raphael said
” Alright buddy, I’ll cover for you.. ” Arnold said, shifting his gaze to Vespertine who did a little bow and Arnold patted his shoulder gently
They all walked towards vespertine’s car and Arnold waved them good bye as he watch the car drive out of sight

Godiva stood up from the couch and looked around the sitting room
She had slept there while thinking of Vespertine that she slept off without knowing. She couldn’t even watch her movie that night cause she was worried sick
” Isn’t he going to school today?” She wondered and immediately, she heard a car drive in.
” I’m seriously going to strangle him.. ” She balled her fist before stumping out of her sitting room to the parking lots
” Hey Móron, how dare you make me worry? You deprived me of sleep last night you son of a gun” She yelled even when he hasn’t alighted from the car
” Don’t worry, you’ll get used to the nagging” Vespertine said to Raphael
” I won’t… ” he replied and they both alighted from the car at once
Godiva’s eyes fell on vespertine then moved to the other person.
She was shocked to see him
” He came? ” She asked staring at Raphael and for the very first time in years, Vespertine saw his sister smile genuinely without knowing.
