A week later
Aidan’s pov:
It’s been a week after the incident at the bar. I have not seen her and thing as been normal. Work has also been great.
I have been working with Violeta for the preparation of the conference. She’s such a nice girl to be with. She was so happy the day I called her, telling her I will be working directly with her.
She sound really glad. Working with her had no regret and I think I’m falling for her. I have a plan to ask her on a date tonight. I just hope everything goes well.
I decided to call her that morning before I go to work. I picked my phone from the table and dailed her number
?Aidan
(Her sweet voice said and I almost melted)
?hey Viol
?Are we suppose to meet today?
?Of course not. I was thinking if you will be free tonight?
?I’m free. Any problem?
?No, actually I will love to take you out on a date
?A date? (Smiling) I will love that
?Well I will come pick you up by 7pm. Hope the time is ok by you?
?Yes yes it is
?See you later then

The call ended, I dropped my phone and smiled. Life has been peaceful this last one week. No stress unlike when I met that sassy girl.
I can’t believe I don’t even know her name. Well it doesn’t matter anymore. I have found the one I love.
I went downstairs for breakfast. I am loving my recent life. Everything seems to work the way I wanted.
‘Good morning handsome” Mason greeted
“Good morning doll” I replied
“You seem happy this morning”
“Of course I am” I answered beaming
“What’s the cause of this beautiful mood if I may ask” he inquired
“Well! I finally asked Violeta out on a date and she said yes” I answered still smiling
“Do you love her?” He asked surprised
“I think I am beginning to like her but I just need some confirmation” I answered
“That’s a nice one bro, but what about your cr@zy girl” he asked and my mood change
“Hey there’s nothing between us, I don’t care about her ok?” I answered
“Ok ok. I get that. What are your plans?”
“Well I don’t know yet. I was thinking you could help me” I said
“Of course I will, what are we friends for?” He answered
“Just tell me what to do and your wish is my command my lord!” He answered bowing slightly
I smiled
“Just get me a nice restaurant ready for the date”
“Ok my lord”
“Hey stop all this formalities” I said
“Yes your highness” he answered and we both laughed
“I’m so hungry” I whinned and he laugh
“Chill man, food is here already” he answered
Food was served and we dig in immediately. I ate like someone that has been starved for so long. The salad was not just good to eat, the bacon was something else.
The cook is really good at what he does
“Hey, I have to go” I said when I was done eating
“Ok man, see you around” he answered
“Mason” I called and he lift his face up
“Don’t forget, it’s my first date. It should be the best” I said and he nodded
I left the mansion for work. Today will really be a long day.
Lissa’s pov :
Today marks the 9th day since dad grounded us. We were not allowed to go out for any reason. Dad say we are irresponsible and not being useful.
He wanted us to feel sorry for everything we’ve done. You might be wondering how we got grounded well this is it

Sunday morning
We got prepared for church that morning.
“Good morning dad, good morning mum” we greeted
Mum answered but dad never said a word. I knew he was really angry with us. But his silent was killing us. It was killing me especially.
I failed my dad. I failed him. I should have been a better daughter he has always wanted.
Church service was nice but I couldn’t take my mind off what happened at the bar. I also could not take my mind off the fact that dad is not saying anything. I knew I went to church but not even a single sermon was in my head nor my heart after the service.
“Service was awesome today” Emily said when we entered the car
All I could do was nod. I know dad is gonna punish us. But I just don’t know what punishment it will be.
Drive home was silent after that, as I could feel the tension building up.
We got home and went straight to our room. We took our bath and await dad’s judgement.
At about 11:00am, there was a knock on our door.
“I will get the door” I said and Emily nodded
I opened the door and saw dad standing with some books on his hands.
‘Dad?!” I called alerting Emily
I took the tonnes of books from him and he entered. There was silent for sometime before he finally cleared his throat
“I’m really so disappointed in you both” he started
“I can’t believe you both are now so irresponsible. Such an act will not be accepted” he added
“Emily how do you want my friend and his wife to feel seeing that their beautiful intelligent daughter as turn out to be irresponsible. Do you want them to feel so bad that they left you with me? I tried my best to raise two beautiful and responsible daughters not some sassy, senseless ones. Lissa you’re such a disappointment. I can’t believe you can be this senseless. I know how you go to different bars and clubs. All you do is party all around. What sort of attitude is that” he said
I watch as tears dripped down Emily’s eyes, I couldn’t help but cry too. I never knew we were these irresponsible.
We asked dad for forgiveness and promised to turn a new leaf. But despite our genuine pleading, dad still felt we are not remorseful enough
“I know you both are sorry and that is why you are grounded.Take this books on the table. Make sure you read them well because I will be asking questions. You are not allow to leave your room for any reason. No movie, no phones. Just you and the books” he said
‘But dad we said we are sorry” I said
Emily was too emotional to speak. I guess dad words were heavy for her.
“I know. What I’m doing is for the best” he answered and finally left the room.
“I failed mum and dad” Emily cried
“No Emily, we both failed” I replied
We cried to our satisfaction before finally settling down to read the books one after another
?Flashback ??
Ever since then, we’ve been in our rooms reading and learning to be a better person. Dad said we are only allowed to leave the room during our trip to France.
I really regretted everything I did. I felt really bad for making Emily feel bad. I hope she forgives me.
And as for Aidan, I miss him so much. Within the last few days, I have realised that I really do love him.
Emily was really happy when I told her. She promised to teach me what love is all about. She started yesterday and I realised I have fallen too deep for him.
Although I am scared, I know he doesn’t love me. I know he doesn’t care but I won’t stop loving him.
I believe a day will come when he will surely love me back.
I just hope it won’t take long
