Aidan’s pov :
I left her room, happy with my progress. I walked to room 106 where Delvan was passing the night. I knocked the door and he answered.
He opened the door and I entered.
“Any progress??” He asked and sat down on his bed
“Yes, great one to be precise. She didn’t only profess her love for me, she also kssed me” I answered happily
“I’m happy for you” he said
“What did you want to tell me??” I asked
“Well, I don’t have anything to tell you” he said
“Are you serious or joking?” I asked
He laughed
“Like I said I have nothing to tell you. Go keep her company”
“You’re joking??”
“Hey, get out of my room I need to sleep” he stood up from the bed and drag me up.
“Chill man” I said but he ignored
He drag me to the door and whispered
“Make her yours tonight”
“What are you even saying??” I asked
He scoffed
“Just do the needful” he said before pushing me out
“Hey, that’s so unfair I miss you and want to spend some time with you” I whined hitting the door slightly
“No little brother, you should spend time with her not me”
“But I miss you”
“I miss you too, just get your lazy self out of here or I spank you” he yelled
“Ok, ok, ok, I give up” I said and left the door
I decided to put a call through to Mason. I know I will be disturbing his date but I just have too. I dialled his number and he picked at the second ring
?Hey what kind of a joy killer are you???
?What?? Is it a crime to call my friend??
?No it’s not but just learn to call at the right time
?Ohhh. What are you doing to the innocent girl??
?Learn to mind your business and by the way don’t bother yourself waiting for me. I will not be coming back
?What?? Why won’t you come back? Did Delvan tell you to do that??
?No I decided to do it. You know what? good bye
?Mason can you ju…… (peep)
The call ended. I placed the phone in my pocket and went to arrange my room. I spray some air freshener and change the bed sheet.
I locked the door and went to Lissa’s room. I knocked at the door
“Who’s there?” I heard her beautiful voice
“Your love” I answered in a deep voice
She cackled
“Aidan I know it’s you come in” she replied and I couldn’t help but wonder how she knew my voice
I opened the door and entered, she was already dressed in her blue night lingerie. She covered part of her body with the duvet cover and was holding a book.
“You’re not asleep yet??” I asked and sat on the chair close by
“I’m waiting for Emily but she called that she won’t be coming back this night” she answered
“Mason called too” I said
She nodded. I looked around, the time was past 10pm.
“Lissa will you watch movie with me?” I asked
“Movie?? But it’s late already”
“Yea. Actually I have some latest movies on my laptop, if you don’t mind”
She looked at me and smiled
“You want me to sleep in your room??” She asked
“What??, I never said that. I only want you to watch movie with me in my room but if you can I don’t mind” I beamed
She’s really is a smart girl
“Turn around” she said
She made to stand up from the bed. I turned and face the other side
“Done” she said
I faced her and she slipped into her flip flop. She dropped her book on the table and picked a blanket up.
“There are lots of blankets over there” I said
She dropped the blanket and we left the room
Author’s pov :
They got to the room and entered
“Welcome to my humble room” Aidan said
“Not bad” she replied
She sat on the b.ed, looking around. The room smells really nice.
“What should I get you??” He asked
“Water would do” she replied
He went to the water dispenser and dispensed some water into the glass cup. He handed her the glass before going to the wardrobe. He open it and brought out his laptop.
He walked back to the b.ed and sat beside her.
“What kind of movies do you watch??” He asked
“Anyone. I love interesting movies”
“Well I love h0rror movies but I know females like love movies” he answered
She blinked her eyes rapidly
“Not all females” she said
“Really, are you saying there are ladies who doesn’t watch love movies?” He asked
“I don’t watch love movies” she defended
“We can watch h0rror movies then?” He asked
She gulped nervously
“I don’t like h0rror movies. I won’t be able to sleep” she said truthfully
“I am here, you can cuddle me” he answered amidst smiles
“No, I don’t want to cuddle you” she answered
“But I want to cuddle you” he whined
“Hey, don’t be a cry babyyy” she laughed
He gesture to her to come closer and she did
“Don’t worry you can hold tight onto me when you feel lonely or afraid” he said and kssed her forehead
He placed his laptop on his lap and on it then he search for a movie.
“Horror??” She asked
“No I don’t what you suffocating me” he answered
“But I won’t do that” she said
“I believe you” he replied
They settle down to watch the movie. At the end of the movie, Lissa was already fast asleep . He lay her down and cover her with the duvet cover.
He lie down close to her, watching her sleep peacefully, he smiled. She has been the best thing that happen to him
Emily’s pov :
Date with Mason was fun. We talked about lots of things and I enjoyed every bit of it. We were talking about how Aidan reacted when Lissa said she does’t love him. Mason phone rang and he grunted
“Talk of the devil and he called” he said and I laughed
“You should go pick his call” I said and he nodded
“I will be right back” he said
He stood up and left. I sipped from my wine waiting patiently for him when my phone rang. I checked and it was an unknown caller.
At first, I was reluctant to pick the call but I finally picked
?Hello is this Emily??
It was a female’s voice
?Yes, how may I help you??
?Are you alone right now?? If you are not kindly excuse yourself, I want to speak to you privately
?i’m alone, you can speak
?I know who killed your parent!
I blinked my lashes. Is she serious??
?What are you talking about?
?I know the person responsible for your parent’s death. Meet me when you come back from France. I will text you the address. Nobody should know about this or your life and mine will be at stake
I was about saying something when I saw Mason coming to my direction
?Bye
I cut the call quickly and dropped the phone. I was so nervous
Could she be right??
“Are you ok??” Mason asked
I nodded. I tried so well to hide my pain and fears but I couldn’t
“Emily, talk to me” he said
He held my hand and stroke it gently
“I… Someone……….” I was interrupted by the peep sound of my phone
I checked and it was a message from the unknown caller. It reads
?What were you planning to do? Did you want to put your life and mine at risk?? They are everywhere. They are watching you. You have to be careful?
I dropped my phone on the table.
I can’t tell him even if i want too. I can’t put his life at risk
“It’s nothing Mason, we should go in” I said standing up
I will keep it a secret as long as I can
I must find the person that killed my parents.
I must avenge their de@th.
