Aidan’s pov :
I have been so busy at the office today that I couldn’t track Lissa and Emily. Mason has been busy too. My table was filled with files. Files from different companies wanting a contract or awarding one.
Work has been stressful. I could not remember if I had stepped out of my office since I came in. Even lunch was simple and quick. Thanks to my P.A and Mason for making the work a little easier.
It was past 6pm already and not a text or call from Lissa. Although I told her in the morning that I will be busy but she should have at least call or even text. That’s really unlike her
“That girl that can be so annoying” I thought
“But you love her” my submind said
“Of course I do” I replied smiling
The door opened and my PA entered.
“Sir, Mr Anderson is here to see you” he said
I rolled my eyes in surprise
“He’s back?” I thought
“Let him in” I said
He left and came back few minutes with Mr Anderson and Mason. They looked so worried
“Is anything the matter?, is everything ok?” I asked concerned
Mason looked at my PA showing me sign to let him go first. I signalled for him to leave and he did
“Can you tell me what’s going on please” I said
“Aidan” Mr Anderson called
“I received a text saying Emily and Lissa has been abducted” he dropped the bomb
“Who dare kidnap them” I yelled hitting my hand on the table
My eyes color changed to red and I couldn’t control my emotions. I closed my eyes to see if I could get into her mind and I did
“Lissa” I called
“Aidan” she answered in a feeble tune
“Don’t say anything out dear. Speak through your mind I will definitely hear you. I’m speaking through my mind to you now. I just want you to know that I will come save you both. Just stay safe” I said
“Aidan please come quickly. They are planning to kill one of us tomorrow if dad do not do what they want” she replied
“I will definitely come quick” I said breaking the mind link
I felt relieved so i opened my eyes
“Aidan where you able to talk to them?” Mason asked
I eyed him to keep quiet. Mr Anderson can not find out about our powers and origin
“He knows already” Mason said
I was shocked to the Marrow. Mr Anderson smiled
“I met Delvan your step brother some years back and he couldn’t hide his power from me for long. He told me about you. When you came to earth, I really did not know you were the one he was talking about until when we met at the conference. That’s the reason I handed over the girls to you because I know you can save them” he said
“Delvan is something else” I thought
I sigh
“I will try my best to safe them”
He stood up from his chair and Mason and I also did
“Aidan, I’m going back to Paris with my wife. Nobody knows I’m here except you and Mason. I trust you in saving them” he said
“Like I said I will try my best”
We said our goodbyes and he made for the door, but turned back
“By the way I know about your relationships too” he said pointing at Mason and I
What!!!
“But I support you. Don’t dare get my daughters pregn@nt!!. If you do I will cut off your balls” he said winking at us
“Did I use protection??” I thought
It doesn’t matter now. What matter is saving and bringing them back home.
I made to say something, but before the words will be formed, the door opened and close immediately.
I sigh and sit back on my chair
“Did you tell him??” I asked Mason playing with my pen
“Of course not. Delvan did” he replied
Ooooohhhh Delvan I will so fking ki….
“Did someone just threatened to kill me?” someone asked
At first I thought it was Mason playing pranks on me but when I raised my head up, Delvan was right in front of me, dressed in a black jeans and red polo. He was seated close to Mason with his legs across my table
My precious table!!
What???
“Legs down” I yelled pushing away his legs
“Someone is angry his father-in- law find out he’s been smooching his daughter” he said
I glared at him but he chuckled
“Hey next time you’re coming make use of the door. By the way what are you doing here?” I said
“Well I think you guys will need my help in getting your babes out in a proper way” he said
I rolled my eyes
“Delvan i know you too well. Did dad send you here?” I asked
Although I feared what might happen if dad sent him here but I still asked him any way
“Kid bro you know me too well, that I will not deny. And to answer your question, yes dad sent me here” he replied
I became nervous
“What does dad want this time around?” I thought
“I will answer that” he said
Idi0t, he break through my thought
“I never gave you permission to my thought” I growled
“You did not need to, I get access anytime I want” he answered
“Idi0t” I thought
“I heard that” he replied in his thought Mason chuckled
Delvan have always break into my thought so is Mason. Those two are something else, but i don’t blame them I taught them how to.
“Well” he began
“Dad wants you back by tomorrow. You know next week is the spring festival and you’ve missed two ready. Dad is really angry you’re not making him happy” he dropped the b0mbshell
I raised my eyebrow
“Is dad kidding me?” I thought
“He’s not” he replied
“I can’t leave now, I need to safe Lissa first” I said
“Of course you will and you will be able to spent few days with her” he replied
“Really?” Mason asked
He nodded
“I talked to dad and he has given you both five days to solve your problem and say your goodbyes” he said
I sigh and rested my head on chair
“Lissa” I thought
I couldn’t get her off my thought. I don’t want to leave now but I dare not defile my father.
Delvan stood up from his chair
“I will meet you at home, I’ve got few things to do first” he said
He finally left.
“Aidan, I don’t want to leave now” Mason said
“I do not want to leave too” I replied
“But right now, I’ve got no choice, let’s make use of the little time we have” I replied standing up
“We should leave. Delvan will not be happy if we keep him waiting” I said
Mason was really sad. I was too but I couldn’t show it.
Just when I was starting to enjoy loving and been loved, dad wants us home.
I felt really pained. I thought love do not exist but right now all I could think of is love really do exist and the painful part of love is leaving the person you love not because you want to but because you have to.
Love fking exist and I’m suffering from it
I’m really suffering from it!!!
