I woke up to the sound of machines. The room was so bright, I had to close my eyes. I opened it carefully to adjust to the rays of light.
Dad, mom and Emily were staring at me worried
“She’s awake” Emily yelled
“Call the doctor” mom said
Doctor??
Am I in the hospital?
The Doctor came in and did some check up
“She should be fine. She just need some rest” he aaid
“What about my baby!!” I wanted to asked but I couldn’t
I really did not want dad to know
“And the baby” dad asked
“They are safe”, he answered
Dad knows about the pregn@ncy??
What does he mean by they???
“They???” Emily asked
“Yes, she’s with twins” he replied
Mom sat beside me and touched my face but I couldn’t move
“I will have to induce her. She needs much rest” the doctor said
Mom nodded and stood up
The doctor picked up the injection and injected me. Everything began to appear twice its original size. Soon, it began to appear blurry.
Gradually, voices began to fade. And everything became blank. My eyes closed gradually until I finally drifted to sleep

I opened my eyes
“You’re awake” mom cooed
I tried sitting up but she stopped me
“I will help you” she said
She helped me sit up. I smiled
“Where is dad and Emily?” I asked
“Seems someone miss me so well” Emily answered, walking in with a box of food
I chuckled
“What do you bring?” I asked curious
“I brought chicken soup” she said dropping the box on the table
“Can I have some?” I asked
“Sure”
She served me my portion. I couldn’t help but rush it
“Hey” she cooed, mom smiled
“They are all yours, so you don’t have to rush it” she said
I laughed

Aidan’s pov :
We were welcome back to Laviana. Girls were drooling and ogling as usual
“I miss this” Mason whispered
I chuckled
“They are back!!”
‘They are as handsome as ever”
“Aidan looks cuter”
“Mason isn’t bad too”
The girls kept ranting while we walk past them
“Too bad I’m taken” Mason said
I rolled my eyes
“Keep shut” I said
“Hey, you don’t have to be your cold self now” he replied
“Anymore words from you and I will cut your tongues” I answered
“G0sh. You’ve not change a bit” he complained
I glared at him and he kept quiet

“Welcome home son” Dad greeted
I grunt
Like I want to even come home
“Can you at least pretend, you’re happy coming home” Mason said
“Am I?” I asked
“We all know you’re not but can’t you just pretend for Lissa please” he said
I hit him playfully on his shoulder
“You should get some rest we have a lot to do” Dad said
“Go home. Your parent will be worried” I told Mason
He rolled his eyes
“Are you kidding me?” He asked
“Come on, you need to go home. Your mom will be worried” I said
“We will meet at our usual spot” I added
“Ok man see you around” he said hugging me

Lissa’s pov :
The doctor made me stay at the hospital for three days against my wish.
“We are leaving” Emily announced
“Finally” I chuckled
I stood up from the bed
“Do you think Aidan will still remember me?” I asked
She turned to look at me
“Are you for real?!!” She asked
I nodded
“You think he will forget?” She asked
“I was just thinking he might” I replied playing with my fingers
“He won’t, don’t even think it” she replied
“What are you girls waiting for?” Dad asked
“Nothing” I replied
We left the hospital and went back home. I’ve missed this place so much
I’ve missed everything about it.
“You should get some rest” dad said pecking me on my cheeks
“Dad” I cooed
“I’m sorry” I said
“Shhhhhh” he said
“I’m happy you’re safe, so is your babies” he said
“But I….” I made to say
“No but Lis. I will take care of you, Emily and your unborn babies. You have nothing to worry about so don’t dare run away ok?” Dad said
He knows me so well
I have always run away from my problems
“I promise dad” I replied
“I talked to your school management already and they have agreed to set an online class for you” he said
My eyes widen in shock
“You did that for me?” I asked
“Anything for my baby” he said
“What about Emily?” I asked
“Do you think I will let you stay home alone?. I won’t want you to feel schoolsick” she said
“And Aidan is sick” she whispered
I hit her playfully
“Thanks” I cooed hugging her
“That’s enough. Let get you settled” she said
“Thanks dad” I said
“Go, go get some rest” he cooed
I smiled
I never knew things will be this easy. I thought dad will be so disappointed. I thought he will scream at me. I thought he will hate me for getting pregn@nt but I was wrong!!!

“I’m hungry” I cried
“Can you stop crying?” Emily asked
“I’m hungry” I screamed
“I know you are, but screaming or crying will not help matters. Just tell me what you want?” She said
I giggled
“I want noodles and salad with Chicken Riggies and pan roasted salmon with black-bean garlic source” I replied
She rolled her eyes
“Ok I will get them prepared”
She stood up to leave but she stopped
“I almost forgot. Aidan asked me to give you something” she said
“Really???!” I asked happily
She nodded. She went to her bag and brought out a parcel. She handed it over to me.
“I am going to the kitchen”, she said, I nodded
I opened the parcel and brought out three black bracelets, and a letter. I opened it and it reads
? Dear cupcake,
I knew a day like this will come when I will have to leave but I never thought I will be leaving without you.
It hurts my heart to watch you cry. It hurts so bad to see you hide the truth from me. The truth about been pregn@nt.
The truth that I will soon be a father not for one baby but for two.
I already knew you were pregnant the day we came to safe you. I felt their heartbeats. I wanted you to tell me yourself but you didn’t, just because you wanted me to go back and take responsibilities.
I thought you wouldn’t come say goodbye. I was devastated when I couldn’t see you. But when you finally appeared, you lighten up my world.
So, I talked to your dad and he promised to take good care of you and our babies. I have handed over my company to you. Take good care of your self and our unborn babies.
I will definitely come back for you. For our babies. Promise to keep in touch as much as I can.
I want you to know I love you so much and for the bracelets, they are for you and our babies. You can talk to me through it. I also placed protection over you and the babies.
Do take care of yourself and be happy. I love you

I let out the tears
He knew!!!
He knew all this while! He knew he was going to be a father but he respected my decision
I picked the bracelets, caressing it
“I love you too Aidan, and I promise to take good careof me, of us and i will be happy” I whispered
I wore the bigger bracelet and kept the smaller ones safe until the babies are born
Now my mind is at peace
“Food is here!!” Emily announced coming in with a tray of food
She dropped it on the table
“You’re crying” she said
I wiped my tears
“He knew, he knew I was pregn@nt” I said
“We all knew” she replied
“You guys did??” I asked
She nodded
“Why didn’t you tell me?!!” I asked
She rolled her eyes
“As if that will change your mind. Enough of the questions. Eat up. I won’t want you to get malnourished” she said
I chuckled
She brought the noodles closer
“Eat this first. I will go prepare the rest” she said standing up
“Thank you” I said
She smiled
“Anything for my bestie” she replied
I watch her leave
“She’s such an amazing friend” I thought
Friend??
She’s more of my sister!!!
Enough of the talk, I can’t wait to eat this food!!!
