Dian’s point of view
I drove inside mom’s house and heaved a great sigh.
I don’t know why I feel so restless after the little scene at the mall.
I came down from my car and straighten my shirt.
“Good day sir.” Keegan one of mom’s bodyguard greeted.
“Hi Keegan, is mom in? I asked.
Stupid question, if mom is not around then he won’t be as well.
“Yes Sir.” He replied and I nodded.
I walk towards the house and as I stood in front of the door a guard opened it for me.
I walk inside the house to the sitting room.
Mom was sitting on a sofa with her phone in her hand.
“Hey Mom.” I greeted and peck her cheek.
“Dian.”
She was silent and I wonder what she was looking at in her phone.
“Is she the one? Mom asked all of a sudden.
I was confused at first, not until she showed me the pictures and videos of me and Aurora in her phone.
“Yes, she is.” I replied and look up to see her gaze burning into mine.
“It is a good thing that you broke up with Malik’s daughter, I don’t care about her anyways.” She said coldly and stood up.
She walk to the bar and pour wine inside the glasses.
“What’s her name? She asked.
I know why she’s asking that question, of course she want to do a background check on her.
“Her name is Aurora.” I said.
“Come on Mom, forget about the background check because she’s real.” I added trying to found super convincing and she shrugged.
“I cooked your favorite orange chicken and rice.” She said and I glance at her, surprise written all over my face.
Mom is a very busy person, who constantly travel from one country to the other.
If she’s not traveling then she engages herself with politics.
The last time mom cooked for me was on my tenth birthday, so it is surprising to me.
“Wow Mom! I miss your cookings.” I said and she chuckled softly.
She called a maid and told her to set the table.
We both walk inside the dinning room and took out seat.
I stare at the food in front of me and gulp.
“Eat son.” She said calmly watching my every moves.
After eating we were back to the sitting room discussing business.
“So he want to sell fifty share of his company properties.” She said as I look over the contract.
“Did you carry out investigations per why he is selling his shares? I asked her and she nodded affirmatively.
“Bankruptcy, buying the shares will make it easy for me to move our company branch here.” She reasoned.
She is business intelligent.
“Okay mom, do whatever you want.” I said and stood up after looking at my watch.
“I’ve got to go now.” I added.
“Tell prosecutor John to pay me a visit.” She ordered not looking at me.
She is really determined on finding Hazel’s killer.
I walk out of the house and enter my car.
I dial manager Kim number and connected it to my earphone.
“Hey.”
“Forward our schedules to Aurora, and you’re needed in the mansion tomorrow morning.” I said and hanged up.
I drove to the estate where the mansion was situated and I sigh.
It is late already.
Few minutes to 7:00pm.
I drove inside the mansion and quickly walk inside.
“Dian, come have some chocolate chip.” Mrs Russell called after me.
I walk back to her and peck her cheek before stuffing some chocolate chip inside my mouth.
I quickly turn around and rushed upstairs.
I unlock my room and walk inside. I strip out of my clothes and walk inside the bathroom.
I took a quick bath and tied a towel around my waist.
I walk back inside my room and pick out my cloth from the closet.
After getting ready I walk towards the mirror and rub some lip balm on my lips.
I picked up my car key and wallet from my drawer before walking out of my room.
I knock on Aurora’s door and heard her s*xy voice just behind the door.
She opened the door and flash me a smile.
I clenched my jaw after seeing what she was wearing.
She looked absolutely breathtaking!
“Hi.” She said and smiled.
“Sorry about that you just look so amazing.” I said and she blushed.
“Thank you, I’ll just grab my bag.” She said and rushed bad inside her room.
She came out soon and I grab her hand.
“Where are we going? She asked.
“We’re going on a date baby, our first date.” I replied and she giggled.
“I love the sound of that,” she said and winked.
We climb down the stairs and met the guys watching TV.
“So what’s going on here? Tina asked as she walk out of the kitchen.
“We’re going out.” I replied with a natural smirk playing on my lips.
“Oh, we saw the news but what the fk is wrong with Mabel’s fans? They’re toxic.” Liam said and scrunched up his face.
“We’ve got to go, see y’all later.” I said and dragged Aurora out of the house.
“Slow down, my legs are itching me.” She complained.
I release my grip on her hand and sigh.
“I’m sorry, I just got carried away,” I said in an apologetic voice.
“No problems,let’s go.”
We got inside the car and I drove out if the mansion.
I drove to a restaurant not really far from the mansion, it is an Italian restaurant where I booked for in the morning.
“Wow! This place is cool.” Aurora gushed as we sat down.
“Good evening sir and ma’am.” The waiter greeted.
“Oh my g0sh! It’s Dian please sign me an autograph.” She said wiggling her hand.
“Yea, please get me orange chicken and pasta. What do you want to eat babe? I asked Aurora.
“I’ll have steak and milk waffle.” She said.
The waiter wrote down our orders before leaving.
“I love this place.” Aurora said and I chuckled.
“It’s simple so I guess you gon’ like it.” I said.
A little shouting from the door draw in my attention and I look up to see Mabel.
Oh come on!
