Mariel’s POV
It was just a day before the mini party, i had got use to Vanessa and Adrian, and i knew i can’t fall inlove with my friend’s boyfriend so i just have to let my feelings go.
It was almost closing, i was waiting for Nessa, she wanted us to go home together.
She finally came and entered the car as she drove me home, i noticed her moody and dull mood and i decided to ask her.
“Nessa, are you Okay?” I asked.
“No Mariel, I’m not, can i ask you something?” She asked and i nodded.
“If you’re deeply in love with someone and you want to spend the rest of your life with him, but your parents don’t approve it, they want you to marry someone else, what will you do?” She asked seriously.
“Umm… I’ll fight for my love, and I’ll make them understand that the heart chooses what it wants and nothing can change that”
“I’ll never allow them rule my life for me and I’ll follow who my heart wants” i said.
Vanessa nodded and smiled at me.
“Are you sure you’re fine Nessa” i asked worried.
“Yes Mariel, I’m good now” she said.
She dropped me at my house and drove to her’s.
I entered and greeted my Aunt, changed my clothes, ate lunch and went to work.
Yes, i’ve started working as a cashier in the big shopping Mall.
After working, i went home and called Nessa, her voice was dull and it sounds like she had been crying. But she refused to tell me what’s wrong as she claims she was alright.
I went to my room, i was too tired to eat dinner.
I lazily arranged my clothes for the mini party tomorrow and slept of immediately i was done with the arranging.

(Mini party day)
I woke up, brushed, greeted my Aunt, bathed, prayed, and ate breakfast of Berry pancake and Jam.
I went back to my room and wore my outfit for the party, it was so beautiful and fitted.
I went to school in Nessa’s car, we arrived at school and all eyes were on us.
The students also dressed in their best also and the whole surrounding was decorated beautifully.
I and Nessa headed to Mrs Ashok’s office, she was happy to see us and we both sat down and waited for the girl that’ll help us with the makeup.
I wasn’t really a fan of Make up so everything looked new to me.
After everything, we both sat down and a girl came to meet us.
“Miss Vanessa, Adrian wants to see you” the girl saïd.
“Tell him to go, i dont want to see him” she said and the girl nodded and left.
The door burst open and Adrian walked in angrily, he looked so angry as he held Vanessa’s hand and dragged her out of the make up room.
The girl looked at him in shock. I smiled at them and went out to go and see what’s going on with the two lovers.
I looked for them, before i saw them in the empty class room.
Vanessa was crying and Adrian was looking at her furiously.
“We could elope Nessa, we both love eachother” Adrian said.
“No Adrian, i can’t do that, my mom will die if i do so.” Vanessa said.
“But Nessa we’ll call them immeadiately we get to spain” he saïd.
“I’m sorry Adrian, i’ll love to elope with you but I’m already pregnant for him” Nessa said and Adrian eyes widen.
“What, you are what?” He asked
“I’m sorry Adrian” Vanessa said and ran away from the class.
I followed her as she entered thé studio, hugged her knee and started crying loudly.
“Nessa its okay” i said.
“No Mariel, i’m forced to do what i don’t want to do, i have to do it cos of my mom. I’m sick Mariel, i’m really sick.” She cried.
Her eyes were red and her upper eyelid has really puffed out which indicate that she had been crying for so long.
“Your parents love you Nessa, maybe its for the best” i said and she chuckled, i could sense so much tears in that laugh.
“They don’t love me one bit, they only care about themselves.
They hate me…
