Mariel’s P.O.V
“Nessa, its okay. Sorry to say but your parents are so undispeakable, how could a father force his daughter. Flesh and blood to marry a man she doesn’t love. All because of money” i said with so much pity.
“People think i’ve got a perfect life, they wish to be like me but they don’t know how i’m suffering inside. I just wish i’m bold like you Mariel, i know you would have done better than me” Nessa sobbed and i hugged her tightly.
“It’ll be alright Nessa” i said.
“No Mariel, it can never be alright. Its too late already cos i’m pregnant for him” she said and i gasped.
“What, how, when…
“I was r@ped Mariel, he r@ped me” she said and my eyes widen as i left her hurriedly in shock.
“What do you mean r@pe, how, do your parents know about this?” I asked and she laughed with tears in her eyes.
“He drugged my wine when i went to visit him and he r@ped me, my father supported him, he said it will build our relationship more but my mom couldn’t do anything ‘cos she is fighting for her life in the hospital.
My mom had always wanted me to marry Nathan when i was little so i guess i have to do her wish” Nessa said.
That guy is heartless, if i could see him now I’ll rip off his balls and feed it to the vultures.
Vanessa is really going through a lot secretly.
“Oh Nessa, i’m so sorry about everything. Please forgive me” i begged.
“It’s not your fault Mariel, moreover what has happened has happened” she said and i hugged her as we both cried like lost and found sisters.
The rest of the party was boring to me, i wasn’t happy ‘cos my school bestfriend isn’t.
It was really painful to have m0nsters as parents.
The whole party was finally over and Vanessa drove me home.
“So when are you leaving?” I asked Nessa.
“Tomorrow” she said.
“But that’s too soon” i said.
“Yea, that’s how it is” she said and i nodded.
“I’ll really miss you Nessa” i said truthfully.
“I’ll miss you too but we can always get intouch through phone” she said as we hugged for a long time before i bade her goodbye and went into the house.
I greeted my Aunt and went to shower and dress, then went to work. I didn’t have any appetite to eat lunch.
****Forward****
Work was a boring and dull one, we had close for today so i picked my small bag and headed home.
I branched at Bianca’s home to greet her and also get her number since i now had a phone.
I headed home slowly still thinking about Nessa.
I saw a bar and decided to sit for a while.
I heard someone sobbing behind me and i faced back, it was a male.
I looked at his familiar face for a while and discovered it was Adrian, his eyes were really red and his body was shaking.
I walked up to him and sat beside.
“It’s okay Adrian, it’s Mariel” i said and he looked up at me, i took his arm and hugged him.
“She left me, she fvckin left me, my whole world is crashing right now” he said.
“It’s alright Adrian” i said.
“Yea, it’s fine, really fine” he said and chuckled.
I looked at his face and he looked at mine too, the he took my face in his palm.
And kissed me with so much pains in his heart.
He was really hurt, i let him kiss me.
Maybe it was the only way of reducing his pain.
