Mariel’s POV.
(3 months later)…..
The days really rolled by fast, school was really tough. It was the final section of high school.
I was happy my high school days was finally coming to an end, i really need to save up enough money for my university.
Vanessa and I never stop contacting each other every single day.
I sat in the class, waiting for the bell to go on for closing.
School has been a very boring one for me, ever since Vanessa left i haven’t been able to get a new friend.
I and Tricia was still very good enemies, she always try to look for my trouble but i was always prepared for her and it made her start getting scared of me.
The bell finally went off, i carried my backpack from my locker, took my bag and headed home in my bicycle.
Adrian and I started talking, he hasn’t still gotten over Nessa and i could see how much he loves her.
I arrived home and met aunt Theresa in the kitchen making lunch.
I went to the kitchen to greet her and kiss her cheeks as she hugged me.
My aunt still treats me like a baby even when I’m not one, and i really have to make her realize that.
“My baby how are you?” She asked.
“Fine aunt and you?” I asked.
“I’m good how was school” she asked.
“Great, but seriously aunt what’s up with the baby stuff, I’m not a baby anymore, I’m 18 for goodness sake” she said
.
Aunt Theresa chuckled.
“Either your 20, 30, or 40. You’ll always remain my baby” she said.
“Ahrrrrgg, aunt you’re so annoying” i joked and we both laughed.
“So what are you making?” I asked.
“Spaghetti in tomato sauce and Meatballs” she said.
“Wow, yummy. Can i have a taste” i asked.
“Sure baby” she said and i frowned.
“Seriously aunt, you’re really up with this baby stuff huh, aren’t you gonna stop already. It makes me feel little” i said.
“And who told you you’re big, just because you’re working, you really feel big already. No matter how big you are you’re still my baby and I’ll keep on spelling that to you daily” she said.
“Whatever” i said.
I went to my room, showered, changed clothes and ate lunch before kissing my aunt and heading to work.
We had so many sales at work today and i was paid my monthly salary which was x3 of my old salary is Mr Johnson’s store.
I thanked the woman, picked up my little handbag and headed home.
I really have to save a lot for my university, my aunt also assisted me.
I reached home and met my aunt sitting on a couch sniffing, she had been crying.
I ran up to her.
“Aunt, what’s wrong, why are you crying. Did anyone fight with you, are…..
“No Mariel, your.. yo… you.
“What is it aunt?” I asked fearfully.
“Your.. mom.. ca.. came here to … to see you Mariel” she said.
“Wh…wha..what!!!!”
