Mariel’s POV
I laid on my bed as tears flowed freely from my eyes, the woman whom i’ve gotten to know as my mother knelt beside me crying, her eyes were red and swollen as she kept on crying and pleading with me.
My aunt sat beside me with a clean napkin in her hand which she used to clean her tears continuously.
“Just get out, okay, ‘cos no amout of your crocodile tears will make me forgive you. Ever!” I screamed Mrs Gomez
“I know its really hard to forgive me or even go back with me but i’m really sorry and i’ll wait till you’re ready to forgive me” she said still kneeling beside me.
“Just keep on wasting your time, ‘cos i’ll never forgive you. As you can see we’re doing fine without you, we’re happy without you so just get the hell outta here” i said.
“Marie….
“Don’t ever mention my name again, you never named me, dad did so you’ve gat no right to call my name” i said angrily and wiped my tears, as i sat on my bed using my pillow for support.
“Mariel please listen to her she’s….
“No aunt, why will i listen to her? Did she ever listen to me when i was pleading with her not to leave me, did she ever listened to me when i begged to speak to her, did she listen to me when i told her to take me with her. Did she?, No, so why should i listen to her” i asked with fury.
“I can explain, please listen to me” she begged.
“I don’t want to listen to any bullshit you have to say so just get out from my house and my life” i screamed at her as i got up and went to my wardrobe.
It was time for work.
“Mariel.. please give me a chance to explain” she saïd.
“You can explain everything to my duvet, i’m sure they’ll listen to you attentively, i could also add my flip flops as support” i said sarcastically.
“I’m off to work aunt, i love you so much and i’ll see you later” i said as i kiss my aunt.

Mariel’s POV
I walked home from work, i decided to stop by an ice cream store to buy a big ice cream cube for myself and some meat pie.
After getting the snacks i headed home, i don’t know why my mom will come right now, i know i can’t stay angry with her forever, she’s my mom, no matter how much she has offended my she is still my mother but i’m just not ready to see her right now.
I turned the knob of the door and entered into the house, my aunt was reading her bible, i greeted her and kissed her cheeks before going into the bathroom to shower and brush, i came out from the bathroom and wore my night gown.
I sat on my bed and combed my long hair before tying it in a ponytail, i brought out the nylon containing the snacks i bought from the ice cream store and i started eating it, i took more bites and moaned loudly as i ate the yummy ice cream.
I took ones i bought for my aunt and kept them in the little freezer.
My aunt came into my room and sat beside me on my bed.
“Mariel, we really need to talk” my aunt said after sitting comfortably
“Okay.. what about” i said.
“Mariel, your mom…
“Aunt please, i don’t want to talk about that woman right now” i said and took another bite from my meat pie.
“Mariel your really need to listen to your mom, you have to give her a chance to explain everything to you” she said tapping my lap.

“Please Mariel you can’t keep hating your mom forever, she rea…
“But she hated me too right?” I asked.
“But it’s all in the past now, i’ve always told you that its wrong to hold grudges in your heart”
“Yes aunt” i muttered.
“So.. please do this for me, please?” My aunt said.
“Okay… fine, you win, i’ll do it even though i don’t want to. Because of you” i said.
She smiled and she drew me closer and hugged me.
“Come to dinning baby” she said and left.
Pheeew… i’ll finally talk to my mom even if it’s lucky for me.
