“Odette? Kennedy widened her eyes in bewilderment. She couldn’t move rather folded her hands together,her mouth was slight opened.
Odette moved away from Kendra and stood beside Mitchell. Genevieve,Mia and laura didn’t understand anything and they were curious.
“Hey Kennedy what’s up?
“Are you freaking kidding me? Kendra what’s she doing here? Kemedy couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
Thus,her plan was to convince Odette to attend Diamond stars but right now she felt terrified.
“Hi Kennedy.” Odette muttered.
“What a pleasant surprise to see you! Kennedy had a phony smile on her face.
“Really?
“Yeah really, welcome to Diamond stars.” She said and tried to walked away.
“Ken ain’t you surprise to see her? Kendra was just trying to get on her last nerves.
“Of course not, I’m a bit surprised but it’s nothing, Kendra can I talk to you alone? She asked.
“Odette I guess you’ve got a friend already.” Kendra ignored Kennedy’s question and faced Odette.
Kennedy wasn’t sure if she was dreaming or what? Odette won’t step out let alone attending Diamond stars.
” it’s crazy but dear sister you ain’t dreaming. It’s very real. Odette is really here,got something to say? Kendra said as if she was reading her mind.
“I gotta go now.” Kennedy said with nonchalant shrugs.
“Sure.” Kendra replied with a smirk on her pretty face.
“Kendra don’t keep us waiting.” Genevieve bursted out and scoffed.
“I’m sorry darling. I would like to introduce my friends,please meet Laura,this is Genevieve and Mia.” Kendra pointed out as Odette removed the cap and revealed her face.
“Genevieve,Mia,laura meet my gem.” Kendra announced but they were lost staring at Odette face as if they just saw a ghost. No one knows where she has gotten sure beautiful face from. Her red soft shinning lips was slight opened. She didn’t smile rather she kept a straight face.
“It was a pleasure to meet you guys.” Odette said.
“Hey Kendra she’s beautiful. Don’t tell me she’s the lady you’re talking about? But she doesn’t look like someone who can sing. Genevieve whispered in Kendra ear and Kendra smiled before nodding.
“Yeah she is.” Kendra whispered back.
“It’s lovely meeting you Odette. I hope the next time we met we would get a chance to chat more. Ladies let’s go.” Laura said.
“To be frank with you Kendra,She is a ravishing beauty.” Mia sputtered while staring at Odette.
“Can you sing? Genevieve queried. Odette didn’t reply but she nodded her head before walking away.
“Satisfied now? With a surly facial expression,Kendra snarled.
“Well I guess she is. Are you ready to fulfill your promise? Laura seethed as she tried to control the anger boiling inside her. “Just give up,I know if you win you’ll make sure that Kendra lose everything to you,why do you always care about your self-interest without fearing that you’re hurting others. You’re selfish and I despise you for that. I knew that kendra won’t lie to us because we are friends but you and Mia refused to accept the fact. Yes it’s hard to believe that sure a gem truly exist. At least for the sake of friendship you should have believed her. I know who you are,you never repent. This isn’t your first doing so I’m not going to let this slide. Kendra could choose to be your friend but read my lips I can’t befriend a untrustworthy person. You don’t have to broke up with my ex,you deserve a jerk face like him. I hope he treats you better. You think I don’t know you’re dating Hardin. Oops! You’re a backstabber,sc.umbag. I hate you Genevieve,you little slut.” Laura yelled at her as she tried to control her temper so she won’t hurts Genevieve.
“What? Kendra exclaimed couldn’t believe what she’s hearing.
“Don’t be surprised Kendra. Hardin broke up with me because he and Genevieve was dating. Mia do you not imitate someone else,I guess Genevieve is your favorite. What a perfect match! Laura said.
“How dare she date Hardin. She was the one that told me you and Hardin broke up. You’are just a cheap $lut Genevieve. I’m highly disappointed in you! I despise you for that! Kendra stormed towards her and started pulling her hair while Genevieve tried to fight back but she’s not match.
“Leave her alone Kendra. What’s the point? Come on let’s go.” Laura said as she dragged Kendra away from Genevieve who had some buries on her face due to Kendra snails scratch.
“I’m sorry Kendra. I’m so sorry that I didn’t believe you.” Mia plead as she glared at Genevieve.
“Apology accepted but you have to give us some space. We don’t need a third party.” Kendra said. “Let’s go.”
“Sure.” They walked away leaving Genevieve and Mia alone in the hallway.
“Did you really do that? How could you Genevieve? You forced me not to believe Kendra so you’ve got something under your sleeve. You’re wicked. Don’t you think my hair would’ve been long gone because of our careless mistake? You never tell me you’re dating Hardin. I don’t want to see you around me,I don’t want to get close to you never,ever again. What a disgusting way to treat people.” Mia seethed and Genevieve scoffed.
“Are you going to leave me?
“Go to h.ell! You’re di$gusting me.” Mia yelled and stormed away furiously.
Genevieve didn’t feel sorry. She arranged her messy hair and walked away.
????(???)?Kennedy’s POV???
I couldn’t think straight when I saw Odette. What is she doing in DSC. This is crazy. She shouldn’t be her,not now. Darlene have to claim the voice first.
I can’t keep it anymore. Darlene have to know,she has to know the truth about Odette.
“You wanna talk to me? Darlene muttered as she took a seat in their practice room.
“Yeah! I want to tell you something very important.” I said and smirked.
“I’m listening,please be fast about it.” Darlene said rudely.
“She’s already in Diamond star college probably here to claimed her voice.” I said.
” I would like to ask a question that has been perplexing me for a while.” She said.
“Sure go ahead.”
“Who is she? I meant,I want to know everything about the lady.” Darlene said.
“I can’t tell you now. But she’s someone you shouldn’t know.”
“Why?
“Nothing. I’m leaving now.” I said,picked my backpack and walked out of diamond stars studio. Boarded a cab.
I alighted from the cab and walked inside. I stepped inside my room. I unclad bad stepped in the bathroom. I had a quick shower. That’s what I actually need. I stepped out with a towel wrapped around my chest. Picked the body lotion and applied it on my skin. I brushed my unkempt brown hair backward and packed it in a ponytail style. I checked the mirror. I guess Kendra should be in her room or Odette’s.
I put on my night dress and walked toward the bed. I slumped on it heavily and closed my eyes to welcome the sleep but a femine voice made me sprang out from the bed in a jolt.
I didn’t waste a second,I rushed out of the room to my mom’s room. I room was locked but I could hear her groaning in pain.
“Mom open the door.” I knock on the door but she didn’t respond,she roared in pain.
“Mom are you alright? Mom open this door,please open up.” I plead.
“Mummy.”
“Aha.” She winced loudly.
????(???)?kyle’s POV???
I haven’t returned to Diamond stars mansion because Anel didn’t want me to return. I sat on a stool close to my piano. I brought out the piano notes and started pressing both the white and black buttons with my finger.
I sang to the sound,closed my eyes and relaxed. I felt someone touch on my shoulder. I stopped playing the piano,opened my eyes and looked up at Anel. She was holding a Jolter and pen.
“Hey Anel.”
? kyle is there anything you can do to get my voice back?
She shows me what she had wrote on it and I felt so sad. Doctors couldn’t get her voice back.
“Don’t worry baby,you’re going to have your voice back.” I said.
? when? I’m tired kyle,I can’t be like this forever. Why am I so afraid that my voice was gone for good.
“Anel,I’m going to find a way out. I promise you.”
?You can’t fulfill this promise kyle. When I woke up my voice was gone. How are you going to get it back?
“Anyhow.” I said.
? please do,don’t let me down. I can’t live like this anymore. She said as tears trickling down her cheeks.
“Don’t you cry baby.” I stood up and hugged her.
“I’m sorry baby.” I mumbled.
