All through Music class, I avoided Dave tho he didn’t advance me but I hoped he didn’t.
He didn’t even look good in anyway and everytime our gaze met it held sadness like be had realized he broke up with me for no reason.
Immediately after class, I hurriedly packed up my books ready to leave when I felt a tight grip around my wrist and I needed no soothsayer to tell me it was Dave.
I turned and faced him.
“A moment? Please.” He pleaded and I nodded.
He slowly let go of my wrist and sighed.
“Am really sorry. I honestly messed up.” Dave began as I kept my face straight.
“I should have listened to you. I ought to have trusted you but I was blind by my st*pid anger.” He continued searching my face and eyes prolly for a reaction but got none.
“Please forgive me babe..” He pleaded.
“Don’t call me babe Dave! You never tried to listen to me and hear my part. You only acted on what people said.
I begged for a chance to explain things to you but you hurt me. You hurt me so bad Dave. You thought I am after money or beauty, you said l stink, you didn’t trust me.
What are relationships based on? They are based on trust but you didn’t even trust me one bit.
You saw me to be cheap Dave.. how could you?” I retorted,my eyes already burning with tears that built up.
“Am so sorry Diana. I could do anything to make you forgive me.” He pleaded and I scoffed.
“Anything? Dave, you broke up with me without thinking twice. You left me when I needed you the most. Even if I will ever forgive you, the scar would forever be in my heart Dave.” I said and stormed out not minding the eyes of students in the class.
By the time I had gotten to Drivers class, I was already vibrating with anger and hurt all cause of Dave.

Time had gone by pretty fast and Monday came again.
In the presence of the students at the school auditorium, I and Ryan were declared faces of Poshville High and the school Presidents.
Ryan was made to say a long speech promising to lead them well, blah blah blah.
The ex Presidents wore us our golden badges with President and Assistant President inscribed on them respectively.
Well… A new phase is about to begin.

I can’t believe I saved Diana’s *ss only to grant her the golden opportunity to rule over me.
I felt super angry knowing that principal choose Diana over me.
I obviously had more class and beauty but a middle class student would now not only be the school cover but assistant school president to Ryan!
It means they would get close even without Diana needing it.

I exited the class building and headed towards the dorm area.
I feel all good and light.
Just last week, I almost got expelled over a huge misunderstanding, thanks to Corriene who in a way saved I and Ryan.
On my way,few students waved at me as I waved back.
Hmm…
The same students who called me cheap are now being so nice to me.
Life!
“Diana!” I heard Dave’s voice behind me and I rolled my eyeballs but didn’t stop walking.
“Diana please…” He pleaded and I had to stop walking then he fixed himself before me.
“Aren’t you going to forgive me? Am deeply sorry for the hurt I had caused you.” Dave apologized.
“Not as if I would stay mad at you forever. I forgive you. I only need your trust. That’s all.” I finally said and he smiled before pulling me in for a hug.
“That mistake would never happen again babe.” Dave assured and I nodded with a bright smile.

Time went on in Poshville High, Ryan and Diana were fully known as Presidents of the school as they both worked together daily, going around to check on the juniors and prepare for any inter school quiz competition.
Over the past month,they had successfully gone for two quizzes and emerged as winners.
Diana had already decided within herself to face her new found peace with Dave while Ryan tried so hard to keep things cool with Corriene.
Meanwhile, Abigail had gotten hooked up with Nathan days back.

I and the girls carried out dinner trays and headed for our seats.
Tonight,we were served fried plantains and nicely fried eggs.
Despite that, l still miss my Mum food.
“I will have to admit,this term has been way too short.” Delia groaned and we chuckled.
“It’s a good thing,at least in few weeks,we would be in our final term in Grade 11. If you aren’t excited, I am.” I said.
“I am.” They chroused randomly as I only smiled.
“I can’t wait for summer holiday.” Abigail said and we laughed.
“You haven’t even had your spring break yet and you are talking about summer.” Denise scoffed.
“I hate spring breaks. They’re too short.” Delia said and we laughed.
“Imagine staying only ten days away from school?. It’s worth it tho.” I added with a shrug.
“Keep it down girls and eat your meal.” Our table mistress said and we clamped our mouths shut.

I and the girls held hands as we headed to get our examination timetable from the exam office.
Our exams would begin in one week which is next week Monday then prom would follow suite and vacation would begin.
We successfully got our individual timetables and luckily,each and every one of us share one exam class, Mathematics!
Denise let out an excited squeal.
“I am so happy!” She grinned.
“At least we would be together.” Abigail added as I and Delia nodded.
We exited the building and opted to spend recess at the library.
None of us actually felt hungry.
“Have you decided your choice of study?” Delia asked no one in particular and I arched a brow.
“Yeah Diana. By next term, we would fill a form depending on what we would like to further in then our subjects and classes relating to that course would be prepared before next session.” Abigail explained.
I muttered an ‘Oh’ and nodded in understanding.
“Am furthering I’m animal science tho.” I finally said.
“Whoa!” They marveled.
“Why?” Denise asked and I shrugged.
“I once had a bunny for a pet but he died a year after I had gotten him on my 13th birthday as a gift. I felt sad that I couldn’t save him thereby leading to my aspiration to study that course.” I narrated.
“Awwwn…”They cooed and I chuckled.
“That’s sad but cool. Anyways,am going for Mass Communication.” Denise notified.
Abigail opted for business administration cause she is the sole heiress of her family vast wealth and Delia,a surgeon.
“Don’t kill someone’s child one day, please.” Denise scoffed and we giggled before stepping into the building.

From where I sat studying a text, I saw Diana step into the library with her friends.
They all appeared happy which made me smile.
Diana seemed alot pretty today but I can only keep my thoughts to myself to avoid ruining her relationship with Dave.

“Aren’t you going to watch your girlfriend cheer around during the game?” Seth, my roomie asked and Bright scoffed closing his book he was reading.
“Talking as if he really loves her.” Bright sneered.
“Of course he does.” Seth defended and I sighed.
“He fking doesn’t. Can’t you see? He is using that girl to while away time here till he is ready to go back to his real girlfriend in California.” Bright said and I could feel Seth’s gaze on me.
“Tell me he is joking Dave.” Seth deadpanned and I scoffed.
“He is not.” I replied and picked up the photoframe and caressed it.
“Bright is totally right. Ion love that Diana of a girl, she is way too boring for my liking.” I spat
“I only love her.. my beautiful Raven..” I sighed and kssed the photoframe.
“You are nuts Dave. How can you love your sister?” Seth questioned and I smrinked facing him.
“You also believed me huh? Raven isn’t my sister. Raven is my love, my life…”.
“His betrothed..” Bright completed with a scoff and Seth’s mouth went open in awe.
“You have gone nuts Dave. How could you? Why are you doing this to Diana?” Seth asked and I chuckled.
“Am cruising Seth. It’s all cruise. If you will excuse me, I have a girl waiting to be s¢rewed.” I grinned dropping the photoframe and headed out.
