EPISODE EIGHT
Mariana ?
“Mother, I ate something that upset my stomach badly. That’s why,” I said quietly trying to hide how much pain I’m feeling. Mother laughed quietly and came to sit on the bed beside me. She pat my hair slowly and brought out a small bottle that looks very familiar to me.
I gasped in pain as my eyes widened,“Mom what are…you…how…when…” I couldn’t form a complete sentence as I wondered how the bottle of antidote got to be in her hands.
“Marie, I’ve always told you never to underestimate your enemy. I caught the maid who told me all you planned to do.
I collected the antidote cause I already knew this was going to happen,” mom answered and handed over the bottle of antidote to me.
I immediately took it and gulped it all. Well, I already took all the poison so there’s no harm in taking all the antidote. “Never underestimate Ivy again. She’s smarter than you think,” mom retorted.
I couldn’t reply cause I had to go to the toilet and vomit all I’ve taken. As soon as I was done, mom helped me back to the room. I laid down and after few minutes I began to feel much better than before.
“Next time, don’t act so rash. I already have lots of plans that’s going to work this time around,” mom said and moved closer before whispering the plans into my ears.
As soon as she finished, I laughed but then I frowned again.
“Mom,why do we have to wait till the wedding day. Can’t we start now?,” I asked. Mom shook her head and said,“I told you don’t act so rash. We need to be patient.
But right now, I have to go and inform your dad about something. He’s gonna assist us alot with the master plan.”
“Mom, won’t the Faye family be angry when they eventually find out?,” I asked a little bit worried.
“Leave it all to me. We will be killing two birds with just one stone,” mom replied and smiled at me. Before she turned around and left.

Mariana’s mom walked into the master bedroom in the mansion and dismissed all the servants.
Tony was sitting on a couch apparently thinking of something seriously. He didn’t even look up from the file until his wife called him over and over again.
He sighed and asked,“Tonia what’s it this time around?” Tonia sat beside him and looked into the file. She noticed it’s about Ivy’s therapy result. She smirked discreetly. Tony didn’t notice as he said,“Her therapy results state that there’s no positive improvement in her kleptomania. How am I supposed to marry her off with this shameful behavior.”
“That’s exactly why I am here. Why don’t you let Mariana marry Brian instead of Ivy? So Ivy can stay at home and continue her treatment,” Tonia said quietly stroking Tony’s body.
“But your daughter doesn’t want to marry him and I don’t want to force her. Moreover what do I tell the Faye family since they have seen Ivy and approved of her.”
“I talked to Mariana already and she’s agreed to marry Brian so her sister can stay at home and continue her treatment. Don’t worry about the Faye’s, I’ll take care of them,” Tonia said slyly.
Tony looked at her and smiled happily feeling relieved. “I’m so happy you are my wife Tonia and our daughter is so understanding.
I don’t what I would have done without you two. All Ivy brings me is trouble and heartache. Thanks for coming into my life.”
He hugged Tonia. Sadly, he couldn’t see the wicked smile and expression on her face.

Ivy?
As I walked out of the dressing room, I looked around for the troublesome Playboy but he’s nowhere to be seen. I heaved a sigh of relief.
As I was about to walk out when an attendant stopped me and handed over a bag. Confused, I looked at her about to ask her a question when she said,“Ma, the cloth inside the bag is for your sister. She was supposed to come today for the fitting of the dress but she didn’t come. Let her try it and send it back if it needs any adjustments.”
She bowed and left. I held the bag tightly and smiled remembering what happened today at home. Then I walked out of the company…
[Unknown note: As she walked out, Brian came out of his dressing room and went to hers to look for her. He even went to the garage but she was gone. He looked disappointed not finding her….??]

I was checking my Instagram account when Ivy walked into my room. She didn’t even knock…So rude… I looked up at her as she dropped a bag.
“Your dress is in it. You have to wear the cloth like that since you didn’t come for the fitting and the designers are fully booked. They will be too busy to readjust your cloth for you,” ivy said. I just looked at her and didn’t say anything.
Inwardly, I smiled. I won’t be needing that fking dress anymore. Receiving no response, Ivy walked out probably confused about my lack of response by now.
She won’t expect what we are going to do to her.

Ivy?
I don’t get why I’m still feeling uneasy. I’m just so worried. Mariana hasn’t tried anything since that day and I should be relieved but I can’t stop worrying that she’s planning something bigger than that…
