EPISODE SEVENTEEN
Ivy?
Immediately Brian left, I went back to the room and changed the office dress. I wore my favorite Addidas up and down which consists of a crazy top, blue joggers and matching blue sneakers. Picking up my Dior bag, I looked around for my phone.
When I finally found it, I looked at the badly shattered screen. “My poor baby,” I murmured kissing it before leaving the room. When I got to the sittingroom, I was surprised to find a strange man sitting down holding a large shopping bag. Immediately he noticed me, he stood up and bowed.
“Who are you?,” I asked.
“Madam, I’m Joe. One of boss bodyguards. He asked me to give this to you,” he answered handing over the large shopping bag to me. I sat down and checked the bag.
“Why are there so many phones?,” I asked surprised to see so many packs of different phone brands.
“Boss didn’t know which one you would prefer that’s why he asked me to bring them over for you to pick your choice,” he replied.
I smiled and brought out the first phone pack. Immediately I frowned noticing it’s the lastest iPhone. I dropped it back. I don’t like apple phones especially iPhone. After checking, I finally settled down for a Samsung phone. I returned the bag to him and wrote a ‘thank you’ note for Brian. He collected the note and bowed again.
“Bye Joe. Thank you,” I said as he left the room. I set up my new phone and left. When I went to Brian’s garage, I stood for a while wondering if I’m allowed to take any of his cars. Another guy appeared again suddenly scaring me. “Who are you?”
He bowed. Why do they keep bowing? “ I’m Tim ma. Boss asked me to accompany you to where ever you want to go. A chauffeur is waiting for us in the limo,” he replied. I looked around and finally saw the limo. “I can’t go out in that limo. It’s too eye-catching. Let’s take a less eye-catching car,” I said.
He nodded and called the chauffeur to bring over another car. When the chauffeur finally brought the car. It turned out to be Bugatti. I sighed as I entered. What part of eye-catching don’t they understand?

Marie?
“Mom, I’m saying the truth. I saw it written in those files. Ivy is literally the owner of most of the shares in dad’s company,” I said. Mom looked at me and answered,“If the daughter of that dead bitch has most of the shares in the company. There won’t be nothing left for us to inherit.”
I walked to the window, stared at the servants working outside,“ Mom I regret not listening to you or this would never have happened. I hate Ivy so much that I want her dead.” Mom hurriedly walked over and covered my mouth.
“Ssh Marie, don’t say things like that out loud. You never know who might be nearby. The walls have ears,you know,” mom said. I removed her hands and whined,“Mom you have to do something. I need to find a way to get closer to Brian. We can have whatever we want in this world once I have him.”
Mom’s reply was interrupted by the sound of a car driving in. I checked the window thinking it’s dad. But when I saw an unfamiliar shiny Bugatti driving in, I immediately moved closer to the window to see the occupant of the car. When Ivy stepped out looking stunning as always, my hatred for her grew in hundred folds.
“The nerve of that bch. How dare she try to flaunt that car in my face. I’ll teach her a lesson she will never forget,” I uttered. Then I rushed out of the room, feeling so much hatred in my heart.

Ivy?
When we finally got to my father’s house, I waved goodbye to Tim and told him I’ll call whenever I’m ready to leave. I walked into the mansion as soon as they left.
“Mom!,” I shouted wondering why the house is so silent. I walked towards Mrs Helen’s room and bumped into the last person I want to see right now. I know she bumped into me on purpose.
“Bch! Can’t you watch where you are going?,” Mariana yelled. I rolled my eyes not responding. Why is she screaming? She was obviously the one not watching where she’s going. I ignored her and tried to bypass her but she blocked my path.
“I’m talking to you bch! How you dare ignore me? You daughter of a wench!,” she shouted and I looked at her angrily. I can accept her calling me names but how dare she call my mother a pro$titute.
I $lapped her face angrily and she held her face in shock. She immediately raised her hand to return the slap but I held her hand. “Don’t you dare call my mother a wench. Just because she’s dead doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want,” I said.
Just then I felt a sharp pain in my head. I released her hand immediately and held my head in pain. I’m suddenly having a severe headache. As I raised my head to look at Marie, I was too late to hold her hand this time around. She slapped me so hard that I hit my head on the wall.
Coupled with the terrible headache I’ve just experienced and the way I hit my head on the wall, I fell down. Groaning in pain, I tried to open my eyes but the next I saw was darkness. As I lost consciousness, I could hear someone calling my name. But the voice sounded faraway.

Brian?
I looked at Ken angrily as I asked,“What do you mean I can’t sack Kim? Have you forgotten that I’m the boss here not you?”
He looked at me and handed a file to me. “Sir, you are not the one that employed her so you don’t have the right to sack her. Your father was the one that employed her and even though you are the boss he’s still the chairman.” I looked at the file frustrated that I can’t sack Kim. When will dad give me the full ownership to the company and the premium account.
I saw something in the file and smiled,“But I can transfer her to another branch.” He nodded and I chuckled. I brought out a letter and signed my name.
“Give her this transfer letter immediately and inform her that it’s urgent,” I said. He nodded and collected the letter before leaving my office. I brought out my phone and looked at the wallpaper. It’s a picture of Ivy wearing a black dress.
I saw it on internet and immediately saved it. I stared at the picture and looked at her dyed hair. The white coloured hair suit her milky skin.
I miss her so much. I wonder if she’s got my gift yet. I’ll call her later. I dropped the phone and focused on the workload in my laptop.

Ivy?
I groaned lightly as I opened my eyes slowly. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck as my head aches alot. “Thank goodness you are awake Ivy. I was so scared,” I heard Mrs Helen say.
I looked around the familiar room and tried to sit up. Mrs Helen hurriedly assisted me and gave me a glass of water to drink. As soon as I finished the water, I tried to touch my throbbing head. But Mrs Helen hurriedly stopped me,“Don’t touch your head. The bandage is completely soaked with blood. I was just about to change it when you woke up.”
I laid back as she changed the thin bandage. “Mom what time is it?” She checked the clock,“ It’s few minutes past four. Why do you ask?” I panicked slightly saying,“Mom it’s getting late. I’ll have to go back home soon or Brian will be so worried.”
“Ssh… You are not in a good condition to go home now. I’ll tell him to come over, okay,” she said and I sighed.
“What happened between you and Marie again?”
“She called my mother a wench so I slapped her. I couldn’t defend myself from her slap because I suddenly had a terrible headache,” I answered yawning still feeling dizzy.
“Headache? Did you forget to use the medicines the therapist recommended for you again?,” she asked worriedly.
“No, I left them here so I couldn’t use them. Mom I feel so dizzy,” I whined. She touched my hair gently. “Then go to sleep,” she whispered soothingly. “Have you told him about your kleptomania?,” she asked.
“No,” I answered half-asleep. “When will you tell him?”, she asked again. But I couldn’t respond as I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.
