Episode Twenty-Seven

I smiled as Ivy stirred awake. Her body rubbing against mine slowly awakening my body. She was getting cheeky about who was winning the battle earlier but who slept off after few rounds.
Lazy bone. She wrapped her hands around me tightly and laid her head on my chest. I pulled her closer and pecked her nose. “Hubby I’m hungry,” she mumbled lazily not opening her eyes. It’s late in the night already.
“Why didn’t you eat when you got home earlier?,” I asked. She pouted and said,“ It’s all your fault. Who asked you to be handsome? I’m hungry.”
I laughed and got out of bed. She held my hands and asked,“Where are you going?” I looked at her puzzled,“ You said you are hungry so I want to get you something to eat.” She sat up on the bed. The duvet fell exposing her chest.
“Don’t go. Don’t leave me here,” she said and I shook my head. She doesn’t know what she wants. “Nice view,” I said staring at her chest cheekily. She blushed and pulled me back to sit on the bed.
“I missed you,” she said hugging me. “I know,” I answered. “ I’m hungry,” she said again and I laughed. I stood up and pulled her up. “Get dressed. We will find you something to eat together,” I said. I only wore shorts and waited for her to dress.
When she came out, she was wearing one of my shirts that only reached above her knees. I held her hand,“Let’s go.” She stopped me again,“Hubby carry me.” She pouted her pink lips again. I kssed her. She looks so cute.
“Kitty you are behaving spoilt. I love you this way,” I said as I carried her in my arms.
“You are my hubby. I can do whatever I want,” she said.
“Yes I’m your hubby.”
“Hubby, I want a food that has lots of onions in it,” she said mischievously. She knows how I hate peeling onions since that day.
I immediately frowned,“No onions. Tomatoes is better…”
“But I want onions,” she said like a spoilt child.
“No… If you want onions, let’s order the food. I’m not gonna touch that goddmn thing,” I answered.
“Onions…” she whined.
“No,” I said. She peeked up at me looking like a sad kitty,“Hubby is the most handsome, loving, caring and wonderful hubby in the world.”
I narrowed my eyes at her as I slowly walked down the stairs,“ Kitty I know what you are trying to do. My answer is still no… No onions.”
“Meow,” she purred like a kitty. I laughed softly. “I’m a sexy little kitty,” she whispered… She’s gonna kill me someday. I’ve found my haven and I have no plans of ever… Ever letting her go…

Zara?
“You mean Loli’s been beefing Ivy all this while and no one bothered to tell me,” Brad asked and I nodded. I already told him that I suspect Loli and her friends are behind this.
“I never really liked that bch anyway. Is she just jealous of my sister in-law beauty or it’s something else?,” Brad asked.
“No, I think Liam likes Ivy and everyone knows how much Loli likes Liam,” I answered. Brad immediately placed his hands on his lips,“Ssh Zara don’t say that out loud. If brother hears this, I’m scared of what he will do to my poor college.”
“I don’t want to lose all those fangirls,” he continued and I rolled my eyes. He’s only concerned about his stupid fan girls.
“Why can’t cousin in-law just reveal her marital status? We can save all this drama and show those bches who they are dealing with,” I asked.
“She’s still fresher. Do you think other students will still be free in interacting with her once they find out about brother? And also the reason why they had a private wedding was because of brother’s growing enemies.
They are only waiting to find his weak point, once they do sister in-law will no longer be safe,” he answered and I thought of it.
He does have a point. They would be scared to interact with her because of cousin and she would feel isolated. I don’t know how the business world works but I know cousin must have lots of enemies.
“But if things get out of hand, we’ll have to do the needful,” he said and I nodded. “ Before that time we will have to teach that bch Loli a big lesson in our own way,” I said and Brad nodded.
“I’ll get that done right now. She won’t dare to mess with my sister in-law again,” Brad uttered bringing out his phone. I smiled, said goodnight before leaving the room. It’s a pity we won’t go to college tomorrow but I can wait till Monday.

Ivy?
I opened my mouth to accept the spoonful of food hubby is feeding me. I’m sitting on the kitchen island. We ordered the food cause apparently hubby is scared of chopping onions and I’m feeling too lazy to cook.
I smiled as he’s using the food to play. He carried the spoon up and I opened my mouth but just as my lips is about to touch the food he moves it to another direction. I followed it but he moves the spoon to another direction. I glared at him and he chuckled.
“What, can’t kitty get this tiny spoonful of food?,” he asked teasingly moving the spoon around. “Hubby my stomach was crying for food and when it finally saw food a bad hubby doesn’t want to feed it. It has started crying again,” I said pouting my lips sadly.
“Kitty, you are such a baby,” he said finally giving me the food. It finally remained one spoon. He carried the spoon as if to feed me but ended up eating the food leaving my mouth still open.
“Hubby!,” I protested as he munched the food happily. I pulled him closer and kssed him. The remaining particles of the food transferring to my mouth. I smiled and said,“I stole it back.” He shut me up with a kss. He moved away dropped the dirty dishes in the dishwasher before coming back to carry me…
“It seems like you’ll have to waste all the energy you just got from the food,”he said as he carried me back up the stairs. I giggled and suddenly felt like saying something to him. What do I want to say?
“I lo…,” his ksses stopped whatever I wanted to say. What was I gonna say anyway?
[Me: I closed my eyes while typing this ?Who would believe me??]

***Morning
Brian?
“Ivy, get up… We have to go to the therapist today,” I tried waking my wife who only grumbled and rolled away from my side. I’m already dressed just waiting for her to get up…
“Go away… Don’t disturb me,” she answered. I moved closer to her and whispered in her ears,“Kitty… Kitty… Get up… We’ll be late for our appointment…”
“Leave me alone. Whose fault is it that I’m tired?,” she mumbled still not opening her eyes. I brought out something. I read in my office that most girls are scared of insects like spiders, cockroache, etc. So I got a fake spider to scare kitty anytime I feel like teasing her.
I brought out a fake huge black spider and held the fake web. “Kitty you need to stand up right now. I think there’s a spider on your bed,” I said. “Go away… I won’t fall for your tricks. I’m not even scared of spiders,” she said still not opening her eyes.
Okay, here it goes. I held my laughter in and slowly lowered the spider on her face. When she felt something scratching her face, she opened her eyes. Immediately she saw a huge black spider, she screamed and rolled out of the bed.
“Eeewww!!! It’s a spider!!! Get it off!!! Move it away!!!,” she shouted as I moved the spider closer. She didn’t even notice me holding the web as she’s too scared. “I thought you weren’t scared. Do you promise to get ready now?,” I said.
She nodded hurriedly,“Please get it off… I’ll get dressed…” I smiled and removed the spider. “Go on.” She immediately stood up and ran to the bathroom. It’s such fun teasing her. Payback for the onions trick she played on me.
“I’ve checked her former report and spoken to her” the therapist said looking at me and Ivy who appeared nervous. “It’s surprising that she hasn’t gotten the urge to steal lately. Cause as far as I know there’s still no cure for kleptomania yet,” she continued.
I stared at Ivy worriedly and held her hands. “My conclusion is that knowing that this kleptomania is a delicate mental disorder, it may just be concealing itself for a while. And when it finally reappears, the urge to steal will be so compelling that it might eventually affect her brain.”
Ivy’s hand tightened on mine. “ What can we do to curb this situation?”
“I’ll give you list of antidepressants drugs she should use. And I suggest she visits more often for her therapy. She should also go for more medical treatment that will help,” she said and I thanked her before we left.
Ivy looked pale as we walked towards my Lamborghini. As soon as we got in and the chauffeur started driving, I hugged her pecking her forehead lightly.
“We’ll get through this together. I promise,” I said feeling pained with the way she’s silent. She slowly returned the hug not saying anything…

Zara?
I sat down on a bean bag in the game room watching Brad and his friends play. The game room is well equipped with all different kinds of Psp games guys enjoy.
I watched as one of Brad friends cheered. Apparently, he’s winning in whatever game they are playing. I checked Brad and of course he’s frowning. That shows that he’s losing. I chuckled and he looked over.
“Zara can you get us some snacks?,” he said smiling at me cheekily. He knows I hate it whenever he asks me for such things. I was just about to refuse when his friends looked at me. I felt nervous having four of the most handsome guys in college looking at me.
I hurriedly nodded and stood up. As I left, I could hear one of them say,“ Your cousin is hot.” Why is this place suddenly so hot or am I the only one feeling hot? My face turning red with blush.
As I walked into the kitchen, I heard the door open. Then Brian and Ivy walked in. He carried her and put her on the kitchen island. I glanced at her sad face expression and asked,“ Cousin what’s wrong with cousin in-law?” I completely forgot what I came to do.
“We are just coming back from her therapist,” he answered opening the fridge. Oh! That’s why. I already know about her kleptomania. I felt sorry on how she had to endure abuse from her stepmother and her stepsister while dealing with her kleptomania.
Any day I ever come across her stepsister, I’ll treat her fuck up. She’s such a bch for messing with my cousin in-law. I walked to Ivy and sat on the kitchen island beside her and began to cheer her up.
Cousin also brought out a cup of ice cream and start feeding her. Soon she starts smiling again as I told her all about me and Brad childhood.
“When will someone feed me ice cream like cousin is doing?,” I asked feigning a jealous look. She laughed.
“Zara, why are you taking so much time just to bring the snacks?,” Brad asked walking into the kitchen. Jeez! I completely forgot about the snacks. He stopped seeing Brian feeding Ivy.
“Oh no! I completely forgot brother will be home today so I invited my friends over,” Brad said. As soon as he said this, his friends walked into the kitchen. “Yo man, what’s the hold up? Where’s our s….” they stopped finally noticing us.
They looked at Ivy recognizing her. As soon as Brain fed Ivy a spoonful of ice cream, they all opened their mouths wide agape suprised…
