Episode Twenty-Eight

Brad’s friends opened their mouths wide agape watching the loving scene in front of them. Brian carried the spoonful of chocolate ice cream and Ivy opened her mouth to collect it. Some of the ice cream smeared the side of her lips and Brain leaned in licking the ice cream away. Ivy giggled and pecked his cheek.
Zara got down from the kitchen island coughing,“ Oppression everywhere.” One of Brian’s friends wiped his face with his hands to make sure he isn’t seeing things.
Another one silently thanked God that he didn’t give Ivy the love letter he wrote for her.
Who would have known that Ivy is Brian’s girlfriend? As soon as Ivy finished, Brian threw the cup into the trash can and came back to carry Ivy from the kitchen island. Brad’s friends immediately made way for them to pass.
They still continued looking at the hallway even though the couple were already long gone.
“Wait… What just happened here now?,” one of them asked. “James close your mouth. I don’t want to see your brown teeth any longer,” Brad said to one of his friends. Zara chuckled and handed each one of them a canned juice.
James is the one that wanted to give Ivy a love letter. “Bro how could you have hid this from us? Ivy is actually Bria.. Sorry your brother’s girlfriend,” James asked sipping his juice still shocked. Zara laughed.
“No, she’s my sister in-law. My brother’s wife not girlfriend,” Brad answered and immediately his friends starts coughing.
Even James almost choked on his juice. He touched his neck and thanked God again for saving him. What would Brian have done to him now if he had actually given Ivy the love letter?
His head would have been separated from his neck. They are all still surprised to see Brian’s loving side cause everyone of them who’s also involved in business world knows how cruel Brian can be.
“But you mustn’t let anyone in the college know. You all know how my brother can be,” Brad said and they all nodded gulping in fear. No one wants their family to disappear from the face of Earth.
“How do we address her whenever we see her now? Ma’am, Ma, Miss, Mrs…” James said vowing in his mind to immediately destroy the love letter once he get home.
“Don’t be silly. Let’s go back to our game,” Brad replied. “Brad I just remembered that I’m supposed to be at a family dinner by now. Please excuse me,” one of his friends said excusing himself. The rest also made excuses to leave.
“Guys don’t forget… Keep your mouth sealed,” Brad shouted as they left. They nodded and left. Brad laughed and turned to look at Zara. She’s looking at him with a weird expression on her face.
“What Zara… Why are you looking at me that way?,” he asked.
“Brad I suddenly want to lick ice cream. Feed me ice cream,” she said with a dazed expression.
“Eeewww! Go get yourself a boyfriend,” he answered and immediately walked out of the kitchen.
“Dummy,” she called out as he walked out.

“Are you alright now kitty? If you don’t feel okay, I’ll call someone to inform them that I won’t be going to work tomorrow,” I said as we sat on a couch in her room.
“No, I’m alright now. I don’t want you to leave but you must go to work. I’ll miss you,” she answered. I smiled,“I’ll miss you too. Tell me something kitty. Are you really okay in college?”
“Yes, just some girls trying to bully me but I’ll show them not to mess with me. I’m not called hubby’s feisty kitten for nothing,” she smiled at me. I’m relieved to see her smile again.
“Promise me you’ll ask me for help whenever things get out of hand. Zara and Brian are also there,” I said.
She brought her pinkie finger and wrapped it around mine,“ I promise you.” I raised her finger and pecked it lightly. She giggled.
“Also whenever your kleptomania starts, Brad or Zara will be there to help okay. If you are being questioned, don’t say anything let them handle it. No one dares to try anything with hubby’s kitty,” I said and leaned in to kss her.
Just then my phone rang, I pecked her lightly and picked my call. It’s Ken…
?Sir I just called to remind you about your flight to Australia tonight… Mr Park said his daughter will be representing his company. She will be the one to welcome you to the city also..
I cut the call immediately. Jeez! I completely forgot. I looked over at kitty. She’s busy with her phone. I walked over there and sat down at her back.
I hugged her from behind and said,“ Kitty I have to travel to Australia tonight for a business meeting. It’s for two weeks.”
She was silent for a while then she whispered,”Okay”. I knew she was upset. I turned her around and noticed her eyes were getting teary.
“It won’t be long. Within a blink of an eye, I’ll be back.” I said pulling her to lay her head on my chest. I could hear her sobbing quietly,“Kitty… I love… I love you… Please don’t cry.”
She looked up at me momentarily stunned at what I said. I’ve felt this way for a long time and I’m finally relieved to say it out loud. The tears she’s been holding back finally fell as she rushed into my arms.
“I’ve never said this before but I love you so much that my heart is filled with love for you. Just for you,” I said and she smiled still crying. Though now crying happy tears.
“Yes, you will have to tell me every single day of our lives. I have to hear you say it,” she said. “I’ll do that when I come back but you have to help me pack now. I don’t have much time left,” I pulled her up…
“You have to come back to me. Call me every single time once you get there,” she said as I got into the car. “I promise and I’ll miss you,” I said and waved to her as the car left.
As the car turned around, I brought out my phone and stared at the wallpaper. I miss her already.

Loli catwalked into the school unaware of what was waiting for her. She only noticed that the students were staring at her weirdly while checking their phone.
She looked at her dressing and soliloquized,“ I think they love the way I’m dressed today. I should dress like this everyday.” She smiled to herself and catwalked with more pride.
Suddenly Nikki rushed over to her and dragged her,“Loli you have to see this right now.” She led her to the school hallway. Loli screamed immediately. There were old pictures of her working on a farm, wearing farm clothes while taking care of pigs all over the hallway… She held her face in shock.
How did they get these pictures of when her family were still struggling then to make ends meet until her father got into dirty business? She made sure to already clear the pictures. ‘My reputation is all over now,’ she thought silently
“That’s not all… See this video,” Nikki brought out her phone and played a video that’s on the college news feed. Loli turned completely pale. It’s a video of her getting screwed by three hefty guys. How did her dirty little secret surface? God! Liam mustn’t see this or it’s all over for her.
She had barely even taken few steps when she saw Liam and three of his friends watching a video. She could hear her own loud moaning voice from the video. Liam looked up and saw her. She saw the disappointed look on his face.
God! It’s all over for her now. “Loli, the provost wants you to come over to his office immediately,” a student came over and said to her. As if what she’s facing isn’t enough. Walking towards the provost’s office, Loli kept on thinking of who she had offended.
