Penny’s POV:
After taking my bath, I wore a black long dress British promised me back tonight so I wanted to look good I don’t know why but I just wanted to.
“ Mum when will Arley be here I miss her so much.” Chris said and i sighed.
“They will be here soon maybe there is traffic on the road. Come let’s go set the table for dinner.” I told him and he jumped up in happiness.
Chris and we started dishing out the food for dinner·
30 minutes later and they are not yet here.
I was worried.
I picked up my phone and dial this number but he wasn’t picking up·
What could have happened?
After waiting for so long I told Chris to eat his dinner and went back to bed.
I sat down on the couch, a glass if white wine in my hand.
After drinking for so long I lay my head on the back seat and closed my eyes.
The doorbell jolted me out of my sleep I didn’t know how long I slept off but it sounds like the bell has been ringing for quite a long time.
who could it be?
I checked my phone and it was already 10:30 p.m. I tiptoed towards the door and peeped Through the Keyhole, surprisingly it was Bryce what could he be doing here at this time of the night?
I pUlled the door open and my mouth dropped open.
Bryce was looking smoking hot and i couldn’t help but gulk at him.
“You look so beautiful tonight.” He said and i blushed hard.
Really who should be refered to ask beautiful between the both of us?
“And you too Bryce, you look splendid.” I told him and he nodded.
He stepped inside the house and kss my forehead I was surprised but then blushed at the same time·
“ where is Chris?” He asked me.
“He slept off few hours ago, he was so excited about meeting Arley again.” I said and sat down on the couch.
“I’m sorry for coming late, i was dealing with something.” He said calmly.
He sounded dull.
“Are you alright? What happened?”
I felt like something happened before he arrived here, but he wasn’t saying a word about it.
I was worried as well, what could have went wrong?
When he didn’t say a word and I decided not to push it.
I stood up from the couch and led him to the dining table.
“Here, take a seat let’s eat.” I told him with a smile.
After we had dinner Bryce and I sitted on the couch discussing.
He actually told me what kept him late,his p$ychotic wife visited him.
that was hilarious though, I couldn’t believe that Zendaya was cheating on him.
He was so sad, I could feel his pain.
I did feel I too when my own suster wished me bad.
“Dont feel down by what happened in the padt Bryce, I’ve learnt to let go. You should too.” I told him and he stared up at me in surprise.
“Yes the trauma will be there, I’ll remember it sometimes but I still gave a whole life in front of me.
I cant ruin that.” I added.
To be honest, I was also surprised at myself.
I couldn’t believe that im the one saying all this.
“Penelope, what sort of a woman are you? You’re too intelligent and kind to suffer on earth.” He retorted. Is there anytime that he doesn’t haul me?
“Here, i got this for you. Merry Christmas.” I told him and hand over the small box to him.
Earlier today, I ordeted for a Rolex watch that costed me $50,000.
I know it is nothing to what he could afford but still, i wanted to gift him something.
That was the least I could do.
“What is inside?” He asked.
“I dont know? Open it to find out.” I told him, he grinned boyishly and tore open the wrap.
“Wow! A Rolex watch. I’m surprised Penny.” He said.
I felt proud of myself because he loved it which made me wonder what he has in store for me, he told me earlier that he has a gift but he didn’t specialise what the gift is all about.
could it be a car? a house? A Top Ranking job? or does he want me to live with him? what could it be exactly?
well I guess it’s time to find out.

“I love you so much that it’s killing me. I know that it I quick couple to the fact that you experienced something horrible few weeks ago, but i want to be here, for you, for Chris and for Arley.
