EPISODE 7
After about fifteen minutes, Kira came back to the table.
“I’m sorry,” She apologized when she sat on the chair.
“No problem,” Dana replied with a smile on her face.
“So, you’re feeling better now?” She asked.
“Ennn…” Kira nodded her head.
“So, let’s continue chatting!” Dana said.
“So, as I was saying, I want to thank you for helping me a few days ago,” Dana spoke again.
“Oh, don’t worry, I just did what is the right thing to do,” Kira replied.
She picked up her glass of water and took a sip, hoping to feel at ease.
“How about you?” Dana looked at Kira.
“Were you hurt when I hit your car?” She asked.
“Ah,” Kira put down her glass of water as she revealed a faint smile, she doesn’t want Dana to notice her uneasiness.
“Fortunately, I wasn’t hurt,” Kira said.
“That’s a relief then,” Dana said.
“How about your car? Does it have big damage?” Dana continued to ask.
“Aside from the dented trunk, there’s nothing else that was damaged in the car,” Kira replied.
“I will take the responsibility for what happened,” Dana said.
“Just tell me how much you’ve spent on your car’s repair,”
“Oh, it’s alright,” Kira said.
“You don’t have to worry about it, My friend who owns the car has his auto care shop, so, don’t think too much for the expenses,” Kira said, but the truth is, she doesn’t want to have any connection with this woman in the future.
Kira doesn’t want this conversation to go any further. She doesn’t plan to stay longer. She is just waiting for a chance to leave this place, without offending Dana.
“But I insist,” Dana said..
“I was the one who caused you trouble, so, I should be the one to pay for the repair,” Dana insisted.
Kira smiled again, “It’s up to you then,” Kira did not object anymore.
“So, shall we order now?” Dana asked after a while.
“Huh?!” Kira blurted out as she looked at Dana blankly.
“I think it’s better to chat while we have something to munch,” Dana explained.
“Oh! I-I’m sorry, b-but I couldn’t stay any longer,” Kira finally had a chance.
Dana looked at Kira with her questioning expression.
“My stomach doesn’t feel well, so…” Kira pause when she is out of words to say.
“Oh, I understand,” Dana said in dissapointment.
Kira held her abdomen and pretended to feel pained.
“Ugh!” She ?r??n?d.
“I think I have to go now,” Kira said.
“Would you like me to bring you to the hospital?” Dana asked as she looked at Kira with concern.
” N-no!” Kira instantly refused.
“There’s no need, I just need to take my medicine and take a rest at home,” Kira added.
“Do you need ?ssistance?” Dana asked.
“No, I’ll just wait for a taxi outside,” Kira replied.
“A friend of mine is coming in a while, could you wait so that we can take you home?”
Kira froze when she heard Dana!
A friend of hers is coming?
Does she mean, Tim?
Kira secretly gulped!
If he is coming, I have the reason to leave this place hurriedly. She’s not ready to face him yet. She felt ashamed to face him after knowing the truth from Lea.
“N-No, no need to take me home,” Kira refused again.
“I can still manage,” She added.
“Are you sure?” Dana asked doubtfully.
“Yes!” Kira replied.
She then got up from her seat.
She picked up her bag and bowed to Dana, “Goodbye,” She said and then she turned and headed outside the restaurant.
Dana’s gaze followed Kira.
‘Why she seems to be in a hurry?’ Dana asked her self.
Kira has a sigh of relief as soon as she reached outside. She put her palm in her ?h?st. She can feel her heart thumping so hard as if it would jump out of her ?h?st!
Kira took a deep breath as she walks to the place where Dana could not see her.

Tim was driving to the restaurant to fetch Dana. He owed Dana a lot, so, he couldn’t ignore her in times like this. Especially now, that there are threats in her life.
She was in the same situation as Dana four years ago. Tim knows that he did everything just to protect her.
But in the end, she still chose to leave him after finding out that his father was the reason for her parent’s death.
Even so, he did not hate her for leaving him. She said she just wants to heal the pain. But why did she not come back even after four years?
Tim remembered the flowers on Helena’s grave. If she is already back, why did she not come to see me?
Tim sighs!
He shook his head, hoping to clear up his mind. He looked ahead of him and he saw a taxi. He reduced his speed and tried to focus on driving even though there are things that bother him.

Kira has been waiting for a taxi for a few minutes now, but nothing came.
‘What’s the matter with the taxis now?’
‘Why I haven’t’ seen any of them?’
Kira felt tired of waiting for a taxi. She decided to just walk. She had already walked a few meters when she finally saw a taxi, but Kira’s attention was caught by the luxurious car behind the taxi.
‘Rich!’ Kira said inside.
Kira waved her hand to make the taxi stop.
The luxurious car overtakes the taxi.

Tim overtakes the taxi ahead of him who seems to pick up a passenger. He glanced at the side mirror to look at the taxi behind him, but he froze when he saw a woman. He looked at the side mirror again and he automatically stepped on the brake.
He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the woman’s silhouette through the side mirror. Tim’s heart skip a beat. The woman is so familiar!
The taxi stopped in front of Kira. She opened the door and rode on it. The taxi drove again and made a U-turn.
Inside the car, Tim was stunned. Is he just seeing things?
No!
His instinct told him no. I have to make sure that it was her.
Tim did not think twice to follow the taxi.
Kira rode in the taxi. She has no idea that someone was tailing her.

“Could you stop in front of that apartment, please?” Kira said to the driver as she pointed the two-story building.
“Yes, ma’am!” The driver said as he stepped on the brake.
Kira paid for her fare.
“Thank you!” She said to the driver before she got off the taxi.
Kira opened the gate and walked straight to the stairs.

Tim stopped his car a few meters away from the taxi. He saw when the woman passenger got off the taxi. He was right. He wasn’t just seeing things. It was Kira!
Nothing changed in her physical appearance. She’s still the same Kira like four years ago!
Tim saw Kira entered the apartment building. He hurriedly got off from his car to follow Kira. If she doesn’t want to show her self to him, then he will make a way to talk to her now.
Tim took big strides to catch up with Kira, but she is a few meters ahead of him.
He saw Kira headed upstairs. He did not dare to take his eyes away from her, afraid that he would lose her in just a blink of an eye.
Kira reached the second floor and She headed to her apartment room.

Drake was playing with Yana when Kira arrived.
“Oh, mommy’s here!” Drake excitedly said to Yana when he saw Kira entered the front door.
Yana instantly raised her head. The little child revealed a wide smile as soon as she saw her mother.
“Mommy!” Yana stood up from the floor.
Kira smiled when she saw her daughter, “Hello, baby!” Kira kneeled and spread her arms.
“Come to mommy!” She said.
Yana ran to her mom and Kira embraced her She felt a little relieved seeing her daughter, but she felt guilty too.
“Mommy missed you so much!” Kira said as she caressed Yana’s hair.
Drake looked at Kira and he noticed her crying expression.
“How was your meeting with your friend?” he asked.
Kira looked at Drake, “It’s alright,” She said.
“That’s good then,” Drake replied, but he doubts of Kira’s reply.
‘If their meeting was alright, why does she looked bothered?’
Drake asked himself.

Meanwhile outside Kira’s apartment room. Tim was just a few steps away from Kira’s apartment room when his phone suddenly rang. Tim’s footsteps came to a stop.
He took his phone from his pocket and checked the caller’s ID. It was from Dana.
Tim swiped his phone and answered the call.
“Dana?” Tim said.
“Hey, why are you not here yet?” Dana asked.
Tim froze…
He forgot that he was supposed to meet Dana at the restaurant.
“Uh…” Tim tried to find an alibi, “I-I’m… sorry, something urgent came up in the office,” He said.
“Oh,” Dana blurted out!
“I’ll just let Coby fetch you there, don’t leave until Coby arrive, alright?” Tim said.
“Oh, alright…” Dana said in disappointment.
Dana ended the call and put her phone in her bag.
‘Why she felt odd about this?’
This is the first time that Tim did this.

Tim shove back his phone to his pocket. He stood in front of Kira’s door. He lifted his hand to knock on the door but he froze.
Tim balled his fist. What will he tell her if she opens the door?
Tim slowly puts down his hand. He followed the woman to make sure that it was Kira.
But now, he is confused about what to say if the two of them faces each other.
Tim gulped!
Four years!
He waited four years for this moment.
The moment that they will meet again.
He can’t just let this chance slip!
With that thought, Tim lifted his hand again and knock on the door.
Kira and Drake turned their heads to the door’s direction when they heard someone knocked.
“Let me open it,” Drake offered.
Tim anxiously waited for the door to open. His heart was beating so fast as if it could jump out from his ?h?st and he felt like there are butterflies in his stomach. He felt excited to see her but nervous at the same time. He wasn’t sure if she had already forgiven his father.
Tim saw the doorknob move indicating that someone from the inside is trying to turn it open.
The door slowly opened, Tim’s anxiousness increased, but he was stunned as soon as he saw the person who opened the door.
Drake was stunned when he saw the man outside the door.
“Mr. Tan!” Drake blurted out.
Tim was not able to say a word.
What is this man doing here?
Did he come to the wrong apartment room?
But he was certain that he saw Kira entered this door.

Kira knitted her brows as she looked at Drake standing on the door.
‘What took him so long?’
Kira carried Yana and approached Drake, “Who’s that—” Kira’s next word was stuck in her throat as her gaze fell onto the man outside the door!
‘Tim!’
Kira’s eyes went wide opened.
She was so shocked.
Her heart beats faster, and her world seems so slow.
She doesn’t know what to do or say.

Tim’s expression went blank when she saw Kira carrying a child.
“Mr. Tan, what brought you here?” Drake couldn’t help but ask.
It is so surprising to see him here. Tim just stared at the child on Kira’s arm. He seems like he doesn’t hear Drake.
Kira, Drake and a child are in the same apartment.
Tim’s world collapse as soon as a realization sinks into his mind.
Is Kira and this man are living together, and the child that she is carrying is their child?
Tim felt like someone poked his heart a million needles.
He felt pained. It was so painful when he realized that Kira has found another man. The pain made him hard to breathe.
Drake looked at Tim with his puzzled look.
“Mr. Tan?” Drake called again when he did not get a response from Tim.
“Huh?!” Tim snapped back to his senses.
“Is there anything you need?” Drake asked politely.
“Uh,…” Tim gulped as he shifted his gaze to Drake. “I-I’m sorry, but I came to the wrong place.” He said and then he turned and walked away.
Kira stood rooted on the ground as her gaze followed the retreating silhouette of Tim. There’s a side of her telling to chase Tim and talk to him.
“Drake, could you hold Yana?” Kira asked Drake when Tim is out of her sight.
“Yes,” Drake took Yana from Kira.
Kira hurriedly followed Tim as soon as Drake took Yana.
