EPISODE 28 (FINAL)

Alex heads straight to his house after eating while Dana went to the waiting area.

Dana lined up to the counter when it was time to check-in, she gave her passport to the clerk, but then she noticed the clerk’s weird expression.

“Why?” She couldn’t help but ask.

“I’m sorry ma’am, but, could you check your passport again?” The clerk asked politely.

“Why?” Dana asked again as she took back her passport.
She flipped the pages of her passport but she was stunned to see the photo on it. It wasn’t her own

“Ooooooh” Dana blurted out.

The name on the passport was a male’s name which was Alex!

‘Who is this man?!’
‘How—‘ Dana froze when she remembered what happened earlier.

She dropped her passport when she bumped into that man, and the man dropped his passport too. It’s possible that… They had switched their passports.
Dana panicked!

‘No, no, no!’
‘This can’t be happening!’
‘How will I go out of the country without my passport, and how could I find this man?!’

Dana tried to think for a solution, her eyes lit’ up after a while.

‘The address!’ She said inside.

Dana felt relieved, she quickly checked the address that was in the passport, but then, she got disappointed when she realized that the man’s address is about forty-five minutes from the airport. She couldn’t make it on time, even if she get back her passport.

‘Ugh! How can I be so unfortunate?!’ Dana complained.

‘No, I still have to get back my passport even if I couldn’t leave the country.

Dana took her luggage and leave the airport. She instructed the taxi driver to drive her to the address in the passport.

Alex sat and leaned his back on the sofa as soon as he entered the house. The house was still clean even if he is not at home for three years and it’s all thanks to the housekeeper.

Alex closed his eyes and he didn’t notice that he fell asleep, he was woken up by the doorbell.

Alex got up from his seat, he walked to the door and checked who rang the bell. He knitted his brows when he saw a woman standing outside his door.

Dana pressed the doorbell again when she did not get a response from the inside. After a moment the door finally opened and revealed the familiar man.

“Good noon, Mr.” Dana greeted the man.

Alex stared at the woman standing in front of him. The woman seems familiar, but he couldn’t remember where he saw her. He secretly studied the woman, she is tall and sophisticated, though her hair was messy, she still looked classy.

“Ehem!” Dana cleared her throat when she noticed Alex staring at her.

“I-I’m sorry to bother you, Mr. Alex, but there is something I need to get from you,” Dana said.

Alex’s knitted brows got even deeper. ‘How did this woman knew my name?’ He asked himself.

“Ah,” Dana noticed the man’s suspicious look to her, ” Don’t misunderstand me,” She quickly said.

“We bumped into each other in the airport earlier and I think we had swatched our passports without even realizing it!” Dana explained.

“Here” Dana raised her hand and show the passport to Alex.

“You can check it if you want to,” Dana added as she stretched her hand to Alex.

Alex’s suspicious look slowly faded as he remembered what happened at the airport earlier!

“Oh!” He blurted out.
“You were the woman whom I bumped into at the airport!” Alex said while he took his passport from Dana’s grip.

He then flipped the pages and checked it to make sure that it was his passport.

“Yes, Yes, Yes!” Dana said as she keeps on nodding her head, “It was me. I wonder if you have my passport too?” Dana asked after a while.

“Why won’t you come inside first?” Alex invited Dana as he closed his passport..

“Oh, there’s no need! I will just wait here,” Dana refused.

She doesn’t trust anybody easily, she would rather stand and wait outside, that way she can assure her safety.

“Okay then, please wait for me here, I will just get your passport for you,” Alex said.

“Ennn…” Dana nodded her head a few times.

Alex went back to the living room and left the door opened. He took the passport from his bag and checked it, Indeed, the photo on the passport looks like the woman who is standing outside his door!

Alex went back to the door with the passport in his hand.

“You’re flying out of the country?” He asked as he stretched his hand to Dana,

“Ah,” Dana revealed a forced smile, “I don’t think I can make it to the airport. The plane might have already taken off.” Dana said with disappointment.

“Oh,” Alex blurted out again, “I’m sorry for the inconvenience that I have caused to you,” He apologized.

“Oh, no, no, no,” Dana refused, ” Don’t apologize, it was also my fault so don’t blame your self for what happened,” Dana said.

Alex just nodded his head lightly. Then his gaze fell into Dana’s luggage, “You’re going back home now?” Alex asked.

“Ennn…” Dana nodded her head.

“I can give you a ride if you’ll allow me,” Alex said.

” Ah, There’s no need, Mr. Alex, I will just take a taxi.” Dana refused again.

“It’s hard to take a taxi here, let me just drive you home with my motorbike, it’s my compensation for the inconvenience that I have caused you.” Alex insisted.

“But…”
Alex can see the hesitation on Dana’s face.

He smiled at Dana which revealed his white and flawless teeth, ” Don’t worry, you are safe with me, I won’t do anything to you,” He ?ssured.

Dana wrapped her arms around Alex’s waist, she was scared to fall from the motorbike.

Alex tied up the luggage at the back of the motorbike so that Dana will not struggle to hold it.

About fifty minutes of driving, they have finally arrived at Dana’s place.

Dana got off from the motorbike, “Thank you very much,” She said sincerely as she took off her helmet and gave it to Alex.

Alex got off from his motorbike too and took Dana’s luggage, ” You’re welcome,” He said as he put down the luggage.

He then rode back to his motorbike. He turned his head to Dana, ” I hope you will change your mind not to leave the country, I am looking forward to knowing you more,” Alex said before he drove his motorbike away.

Dana was left stunned while standing outside her house, ‘What did he just say?’
‘He wants to know me more?’
‘Wait, that fast?’
Dana couldn’t help but chuckle.

She just came from a heartbreak, and she’s not ready to date someone, she wants to fix her broken heart first before entering a ro..mantic relationship. She wants to give her full love to a person who deserves it.

Days past and today will be a good day for Kira and her family. Because good news came, Kira’s case was dissolved after showing enough evidence that she just shoot Mr. Fuente for self-defense.

“Thank you so much, Vince, thank you for working on my case,” Kira said with gratitude.

“Well done, Vince,” Tim said to Vince.

“Thank you, Mr. Tan,” Vince replied.

The three of them talked for a while before Vince bade his goodbye to Kira and Tim.

“What are you thinking?” Tim asked when he noticed Kira’s deep thoughts.

” I want to go somewhere,” Kira said.

“Where?” Tim asked.

“I want to see him,” Kira replied.

Tim stared at Kira for a while, “Are you sure?”

“Yes,” Kira replied.

She is now ready to see the person who klled her parents. She heard that Mr. Fuente survived from the gvnshot, but he still needs to be put in the jail’s health facility.

Kira was anxious, this will be her first time to see Mr. Fuente since their last encounter.

Kira and Tim sat on the waiting chair in the visiting area. Kira keeps on rubbing her hand as she waited for Mr. Fuente to arrived.

After a while, Kira saw a man in a white uniform, pushing a wheelchair towards her direction. She instantly got up from her seat when she saw the man in the wheelchair.
It was Mr. Fuente.

Mr. Fuente’s eyes went wide opened when he saw Tim and Kira.

“Aagghhnn!”

Kira was stunned when she heard Mr. Fuente. He seemed terrified to see her and he seems like he wanted to say something but struggled to open his mouth to speak.

“Aagghhnn!”

Kira heard Mr. Fuente again. She can see how much he tried to open his mouth as if he wanted to say something.

Either he wants her to go away or he’s asking for an apology, she doesn’t know because Mr. Fuente couldn’t say any word!

Mr. Fuent seems like having a panic attack as soon as he saw Kira.

“Aghn! Aghn!” Mr. Fuente seemed like he wanted Kira to go away, he seemed so scared that she might do something to him.

“Aghn!” Mr. Fuente’s body suddenly becomes stiff.

Kira and Tim were startled.

“Take him away from here. Bring him back to the health facility!” The doctor said.

The male nurse instantly followed the doctor’s order.

“What is going on?!” Kira couldn’t help but asked as soon as Mr. Fuente was gone.

“Mr. and Mrs. Tan, the bullet has damaged Mr. Fuente’s nerves which made him unable to speak or move,” The officer said.

“W-What?!” Kira blurted out in disbelief.

Inside the car, Tim did not hurry to turn on the engine, he waited for Kira to calm down.

“Tim, am I a bad person?” Kira suddenly asked.

Tim turned his head to Kira, “Why”

“I don’t feel guilty for Mr. Fuente, I felt like he deserved what happened to him,” Kira said in a faint voice.

“I couldn’t forgive him for what he did to my parents, ” Kira added, ” Does it makes me a bad person?”

Tim stroked Kira’s back, “Ssshhh… Don’t say that,” He said.

” We are just human, we made mistakes and we get angry. I know you can’t forgive him for now, because the pain of losing your parents is still fresh for you, but maybe someday, you’ll gonna find peace in your heart, and before you know it, you have already forgiven all the people who wronged you,”

Kira looked at Tim, she felt moved by what he said, “Thank you for being there for me, honey, I love you so much,” Kra said.

Tim smiled, “I love you more,” He replied as he kssed her lips.

“Ah, Let’s go,” He said after kssing her,

“Where?” Kira asked.

” I’m going to show you something that will make you happy,” Tim replied.
“You’ll find out,” Tim added and then he started the car’s engine and he drove away.

After a few minutes of driving, they finally arrived at the place where Tim wanted to show her.

The two of them got out of the car and Kira automatically knitted her brows when she saw an on-going construction of buildings.

There are people working on the construction, they looked busty as they do their perspective works.

“Wait, where are we?” Kira asked as she looked around.

“We are in your future school,” Tim replied.

Kira froze for a moment as if she is trying to process what Tim said.

‘W-What?” She blurted.

” I am supposed to show this to you when the construction is done, But then, I want to make you feel better, so I decided to show this to you now,” Tim replied.

“Seriously?!” Kira asked in disbelief! “I’m going to own a school?”

“Of course” Tim replied.

“Oh” Kira embraced Tim tightly. She couldn’t withstand her happiness.

“Thank you so much, my love” She said.

Tim smiled, “Did you like it?” He asked.

“Of course!” Kira replied instantly, and then she went silent.

“You’re not the only one who got a surprise” Kira suddenly spoke.

“You have a surprise for me too?” Tim asked.

“Of course” Kira said. She then took a rectangular box that was wrapped with a gift wrapper from her bag and gave it to Tim.

Tim took the box, “What is this?” He asked.

“Why won’t you open to see it your self?” Kira asked back.

Tim unwrapped the box. The wrapper was removed one by one until the box inside was revealed.

Tim opened the box and his mouth and eyes went wide opened in surprise.

“Seriously?!” Tim blurted out with his gaze on the Pregnancy test cassette.
He was shocked and at the same time, happy to see two red lines on it.

“Yes!” Kira replied.

“Oh my god” Happiness could be seen in Tim’s eyes. He suddenly approached Kira, lifted her and lifted her around.

“Yeah, We’re having a baby again! Hahaha!” Tim exclaimed.

“Ah” Kira was startled when Tim suddenly lifted her.

“Hey, put me down. There’s a lot of people here” She rebuked Tim.

“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help it. We’re expecting for another blessing. We’re having a new family member” Tim said in excitement.

He is so happy.
Another family member is coming.
Either it’s a girl or a boy, he would accept and love the baby as to how he loves their mother. Hopefully, from now on, they will live peacefully. Without threats, without hatred, and without secrets.

Kira couldn’t hide her smile, seeing her husband being happy also makes her happy.
From now on, they will live peacefully, they will understand each other, be there for each other in times of need. They will grow old together, she won’t stop loving Tim even his hair turns gray.

What she learns from this chapter of her life was that forgiveness takes time, and healing the pain takes time. Be careful about making a mistake and hurting someone intentionally, because sins may be forgiven, but not forgotten.
