Sister Chinwe walked into m+Mrs Ufomba’s house sulking, she was ushered into the sitting room to wait for her, Mrs Ufomba came down minutes later to meet her
“Sister Chinwe, you sounded worried over the phone, what happened?” she asked with a concerned look sitting close to her
“It’s my mother, I received a call from the village that she is down with stroke, I’ll return to the village to take care of her” she said soberly wiping her face with her handkerchief
“It’s well my dear, God will heal her” she consoled her
“My only problem is my sister, she’s awaiting her results and I dont want to take her back with me to the village, I dont know if it will be possible for her to live in your house and work for you, then she can save money and further her education. I promise that she will of good character, I dont know the fate of my mother, but I’ll return anytime she’s alright, I just want her to stay in your house till I return “she begged Mrs Ufomba.
”You know I already have two househelps, but I’ll discuss it with my husband and get back to you, when are you leaving for the village?”
“I’ll leave next week, my uncle promised to send some money to me to help me out, and I will run my mum’s small kiosk to help put food on the table, I don’t want to shatter my sister’s dream of going to the University, ”
“You’ve sacrificed a lot for your family, imagine leaving everything you have behind,you’re such a rare gem, don’t worry I must help you out, your sister shouldn’t bother you, I’ll take care of her”
“Thank you so much, God will continue to bless you”
“You’re more than a sister to me, so cheer up, I’ll transfer some money into your account tomorrow morning, you can use that to take care of your mother and also boost your mother’s kiosk.”
She went on her knees in excitement,
“Aunty thank you so much”
“Oh please get up, don’t do this, you deserve more than that,…….. So have you taken anything?”
“Not yet ma, please ma, there’s one more thing that has been disturbing me, have you reached your twin sister you told me about, you need to reach her and apologize to her?” she reminded her
Mrs Ufomba’s countenance changed,
“I’m still working on that, don’t worry once I contact her, I’ll let you know, let’s go to the kitchen and get something for us to eat ” she said dragging her up.

******** Debbie have refused to pick Joel’s number and she has refused to see him, Thelma have tried to convince her to forgive him and give him a second chance, she was happy school had finally opened, at least she would be far from him and concentrate on her studies.
Thelma was not happy with their resumption as she would miss her friends in Abuja, she cant wait to be done with school and return to them. She was living her life to the fullest.
Debbie have been observing her, she was in her room helping her pack her clothes for school when she heard her phone ring She watched Thelma as she walked up to the table and picked the phone, she sighed and dropped it, the continuous ringing of the phone irritated Debbie.
“Thelma, pick up your call na” she scolded her
“I don’t have the strength to talk to anybody”
Debbie picked up the phone and was shocked to see the caller id
“Why are you ignoring George’s call?”
“I’ll talk to him later please” she said bluntly
“Thelma, I dont like the way you’re treating this guy, if you don’t love him, just tell him”
“Who told you I dont love him, I’m busy packing, I’ll talk to him later” she said rudely.
“I dont understand you at all, your life is filled with secrets”
“Remember you’re in my room, and I have the right to pick or ignore my calls, you don’t have the right to judge me, I have my life to live” she retorted.
“I’m sorry queen Thelma, let me return to my room before you insult me” she smirked at her
She left the room and went to the kitchen to the help the cook prepare dinner.
MONTHS LATER
******** George was finally done with his exams and was planning on returning home, his family have missed him a lot, he has started dreaming of walking Thelma down the aisle.
Uncle G has packed out of the house, he rented a comfortable apartment in Ajao Estate, he stayed away from the Ufomba‘s to enable him think of his next plan. He visits the company behind his brother’s back and had succeeded in getting spy that updates him on his brother’s movement.
Gift now lives with the Ufomba’s, she is a girl of twenty_one years, she is beautiful, tall and intelligent, she has a slender and curvaceous figure, her skin was light skinned and glowing, she is also blessed with a melodious voice, she keeps her co-workers busy with songs anytime they’re in the kitchen cooking.

******* Debbie returned from lecture late in the evening to see a car parked in front of her hostel, she guessed it might be a neighbour’s friend that came visiting, she catwalked tirelessly to her room and opened the door to see Noel and Thelma chatting.
He was looking handsome in his suit, one thing she loved about him was his sense of dressing, he sweeps her off her feet with his good look.
“What are you doing here Noel?” she asked him angrily surprised to see him
“Baby please I really love you, I haven’t been myself for the past months, please give me a second chance to prove to you how much I love you, baby I love you so much” he begged her from the bottom of his heart
“I’m tired and hungry, I dont have strength to talk about this, infact, I don’t need you in my life again, as you can see, I’ve moved on with my life” she said calmly
Joel saw the effect of his words on her and went on his knees.
“Baby please give me another chance, I promise to take good proper care of you, I’ll never break your heart”
“I dont know why you’re playing with my heart, you know how much I love you and you’re taking advantage of that, what about your fiancee?”
“I’ve broken up with her, baby let’s go to a quiet place and talk about this”
“I’m not going anywhere with you”
“Baby please”
After much arguments, he succeeded in convincing her to follow him out. Thelma who excused herself immediately Debbie entered the room walked back into the room.
“And where are you taking my sister to?” she jokingly asked Noel
“It’s a surprise,”
“I’m jealous ooo, Debbie why don’t you spend the weekend with your man?” she winked at Joel
Debbie gave her a stern look and looked away
“Baby, you know she’s right, let’s spend the weekend together and rekindle our love,”
She reluctantly packed her clothes and toiletries and they drove out.

******* George got home late, the gateman helped him carry his luggage into the house on his arrival. Everyone was happy to see him, they had prepared a delicious meal to welcome him. His father was proud of him, Mirabel was the happiest to see him. After greeting everybody he went to his room to freshen up before coming down to eat.

******* Noel and Debbie lodged into an exotic hotel. Noel ordered for their dinner and their food was brought in minutes later. Debbie have been moody since they arrived, they ate their meal quietly before bathing and retiring to the bed. He couldn’t stand her silence anymore.
“Baby please you’re killing me with your silence, I’m so sorry for what happened, I’m a changed person now, I promise to make it up to you” he begged her smooching her back
She continued sobbing quietly,
“Baby please stop, I’m sorry” he continued begging her
He kissed her on the neck before going for her mouth, he kissed her passionately. She was reluctant at first, but she slowly started responding to his advances and before they knew it, their clothes were soon scattered on the floor.

********* George didn’t notice there was a new girl in the house, after eating he went up to his room, while going he called Ruth to make coffee and bring it to his room, he was busy chatting with Thelma with his laptop when he heard a knock on the door.
He was surprised to see someone else walk in.
“Good evening sir” she curtsied
“please I’m George, call me George” he said still busy with his laptop
“Sorry sir,.. Eeem George” she said shyly
“Drop it on the table” he instructed her not looking up at her
She dropped the cup of coffee on the table and hurried downstairs.
He looked up and she was gone
“I didn’t even see her face, and I forgot to ask for her name” he muttered.
