It was a happy REUNION, Angel’s parents were so happy to see their daughter Hale and hearty, they couldn’t stop thanking George and his family for taking care of their DAUGHTER. “Chief Udoka expressed surprise as the kidnappers still made him believe his daughter was still under their CUSTODY, Angel’s mum served them drinks and snacks as they continued Chatting.
“Those hoodlums made me believe that my daughter was still in their custody, at first, the police advised me not to give them the ransom they demanded, I obeyed the police for some weeks, then I decided to give them the money after much threats from the kidnappers, they increased the price to a hundred million naira, they told me that I won’t pay at once, I gave them twenty million naira and I’m supposed to give them the balance of eighty million naira tomorrow,a girl pretends to be you, I speak to the girl everyday thinking I was talking to my daughter “Angel’s father said
“I think you need to inform the police, those hoodlums needs to be dealt with, pretend you haven’t seen your daughter, take the money to them, when they come out to pick the money the police will arrest them” George’s dad suggested
Everyone agreed with him.
Chief turned to his daughter
“Why didnt you call to inform me that you escaped from their custody, I would have picked you up immediately, they made me believe you were still with with them”her dad said still staring at her to be sure that she wasn’t harmed
“I had accident the day I escaped, I couldn’t speak for weeks, and I was scared they might still be searching for me”
She narrated how she escaped,and how George and his family took care of her, and her parents thanked George and his family, after spending sometime with her family, they announced their departure.

************* Debbie woke up angry, each day that passes remind her of Noel, she went to the nursery to check on her baby, she was glad he was still sleeping peacefully in his cradle, she returned to her room to dress up for morning jog.

********************* It was like a dream come true, George knew Angel loved him but was waiting for the right time to accept his love, he tossed on his bed thinking of her, his phone beeped and it was a whatsapp message from Angel,
“Good morning friend, just woke up now, hope you had a good night rest? Just missing you, will call you later, have a nice day and love you” the message read.
He read the message over and over before replying it.
“Is this a yes to my proposal? Waiting anxiously for your reply” he sent the text and smiled.
He waited for an answer but she didn’t reply him, he tried calling her but her phone was switched off, he bathed and went downstairs to have breakfast before rushing off to the office.
******************** Debbie had just returned from Noel’s house after a ruthless search for him, she met her mum sobbing in her room holding Thelma’s picture in her hands, she was taken aback
“Mum why are you doing this? do you want to kill yourself because of Thelma, you should be happy I’m here with you” she asked her mum cuddling her
“I was moved to tears after what I saw on the television, some girls were rescued from a Kenyan hotel where they are used as sex slaves,after listening to what they passed through in the hands of those men I couldn’t help it but remembered your sister, I can’t imagine such thing happening to her, I’m really scared, ever since she left the country with her husband I’ve neither heard from her or her husband”her mother lamented
“You know how stubborn Thelma is, she will call when she feels like calling, I know she’s OK where ever she is” she said trying to convince her mum that her sister was ok
Her mum looked up at her
“I’m a mother, I know my daughter is not OK wherever she is, I can feel it”
Debbie doesn’t like the condition her mother was in, thankfully the nanny brought in her baby and handed him to her, her mother smiled seeing the baby, he was the bundle of her joy,her prayer was to see Debbie get married to the man she loves.

********************* George returned home early due to the emergency call he received from Mirabel, telling him to return immediately, he rushed into the sitting room only to see Mirabel and Angel in a happy mood, Angel rushed at him and hugged him, he was surprised,
“The kidnappers are finally caught, they’re in the station”Angel said happily
“Wowwww, this calls for celebration” he said excitedly
“guess what? “Mirabel cut him short
“What? “he muttered staring at the two girls
“Bella will be sleeping over”Mirabel screamed excitedly
He was confused
“Who”s Bella?“ he asked in a confused tone
“I’m sorry I’ve not formally introduced myself, I’m Isabella Chizaram Udoka,“ she said rolling her eyes
“You still remain my Angel, they can call you Isabella, but I will call you Angel, “he said winking at Isabella
“How come your parents allowed you to come here alone? “he asked
“My driver dropped me and he will be back tomorrow afternoon to pick me up, I missed Mirabel so much so I begged my dad to allow me spend a night with her”
“That’s very thoughtful of you” George muttered
“Let me quickly shower and join you girls for dinner, “he said heading up the stairs.
*********** Mirabel and Isabella helped Ruth to prepare dinner, their parents travelled to Dubai on two weeks vacation, she planned following Isabella home to spend some days with her also. They were still cooking when Gift arrived and she was not happy to see Bella, she exchanged greetings with the girls and joined them in the kitchen, they chatted as they cooked
“God has been so good to you Gift, I heard you’ve been signed to a record label, you’re now a big girl, don’t forget us in your paradise” Mirabel said to Gift
She smiled inwardly,
“I still can’t believe it too, but I thank God, I have a recording to do next week, you won’t be seeing much of me, I will be busy with my studies and music” she said eyeing Bella
“You’re now a celebrity, congrats girl”Bella told her
“Thanks “she replied coldly
Mirabel noticed how cold and rude Gift was to Bella, she knew it was all about George.
After dinner they retired to the sitting room to watch television, George was all over Bella, it was obvious he was in love with her, he took her out in the garden where they were alone, Gift still could not believe she wasn’t getting George‘s attention, she bade everyone good night and went to the guest room.
George and Bella spent some romantic time alone, she finally professed her love for him, and they sealed their friendship with kiss. They retired to the sitting room to meet Mirabel busy on the phone with Elvis, he went up to his room to sleep, the girls later retired to bed.
************ It was around midnight when George heard a soft knock on his door, at first he thought he was dreaming, but the knock came again, he lazily got out of bed and opened the door thinking it was Mirabel, he saw Gift standing with tears in her eyes.
“What happened to you?” he stuttered
“Can we talk?“ she muttered
He led her in and she sat down on his bed,
“Are you intentionally playing with my heart? why are you tormenting me like this? I can’t take it anymore” she asked him rudely
“I’m lost here, I don’t understand what you’re talking about, please calm down and talk to me in a language I will understand “he said in a confused tone
“You made me fall in love with you, now you’re flirting with that girl”she smirked at him
“Excuse me? I’m not flirting with anyone, I’ve always seen you as a sister, I’ve loved you as a sister, and I still love you, please don’t misinterpret the love I have for you. I need someone in my life and I”ve found that person, I don’t want you ruining the relationship that exist between us”he tried explaining to her
“But you’ve always lead me on, why did you suddenly change your mind towards me, after all we shared together, I was there for you when that your useless ex girl friend dumped you, now you’re doing this to me”she said amidst tears
“Gift, you’re a beautiful girl with a good heart and I respect you so much, please don’t do this,your man is out there, he will surely come for you”
“I’ve been a fool, don’t come running to me when it’s late, “she said and stormed out of the room.
Gift left very early in the morning before everyone woke up,George called his uncle to be sure she was home and he confirmed she was already home.

Debbie was shocked after listening to what the security guard told her about her sister, she was secretly searching for her sister, her mother gave her the address Thelma gave to her before she travelled, she couldn’t move her legs, the gateman couldn’t lie about that man. The old man lied to her mother that the house belonged to him, he told her that he stays in the house anytime he was in the country, but the gateman just told her that the house was rented by the old man, he even went further to tell her about the dirty deals the man was involved in.
She realised her mother was right about her sister being in trouble, she walked to her car dejectedly and drove home.
MONTHS LATER

George had finally proposed to Bella, their wedding plan was on going, he called Debbie and told her about his wedding. He will travel to Canada with his wife where they would complete their education before they have returning to Nigeria, Bella would be readmitted into her school though she would repeat the lost year, aunty Maureen and her kids would also return for the wedding, George and Bella were getting ready for their trip to Paris to shop for their wedding, The two families were leaving no stone unturned to ensure their children had the best wedding.

Debbie decided to stay with her mum, she realised how lonely her mum would be if she travels back to the state with her son, she now runs a big boutique, she goes to Dubai to buy some of her goods. She was beginning to pick up the pieces of her life, her son, Henry was growing rapidly, he looked so much like his father, he reminds her of Noel,
She had registered him in a day care close to her boutique, she always drops him first before heading to her shop.
She returned home after picking her son from school on this faithful day to see a car packed outside her house. She didn’t pay much attention to the car, she just parked her car and walked into the house looking exhausted, she entered the sitting room to meet Noel and his family Sitting with her mum, she was shocked but happy, she wanted to hug him but she held herself, she greeted his parents and handed her son to them. Noel couldn’t look straight at her, her mum told her to sit down with them, the nanny was called to take the child inside for a bath. Noel stood up and apologised for his childish act, it wasn’t his intention to leave his child and mother, he explained the reason behind his sudden disappearance, his father told Debbie that they came to know her true feelings for their son as they can’t watch their blood grow outside their home, that they’re ready to do the needful to bring her into the family as their daughter in law, Debbie was quiet, she asked to see Noel privately, they both went up to her room.
When they got to her room, she gave him a thunderous slap,
“Who do you think you are? You think you have the right to appear and disappear from my life, do you know what I passed through searching for you? I even blamed myself for your disappearance only for you appeared from nowhere and you think you can lure me into marrying you just like that?” she threw at him and broke down in tears
“My mum told me everything, I’m so sorry, I thought going away was what you wanted, I’m so sorry, ”
“listen to yourself, you abandoned your son and I here, you didn’t think twice before leaving…………….”she was cut short with his kiss, he kissed her so deeply and she responded hungrily
The kiss was cut short when they heard footsteps. they went Downstairs together hand in hand. After much talk, they agreed to have a quiet wedding, her mum will visit her dad’s people to inform them of her daughter‘s marriage. Happiness has finally returned to Debbie, but one thing still makes her unhappy, her sister’s where about.
****************************** Debbie’s introduction was done one week after Noel’s visit with his parents, her wedding was coming soon, they wanted a quiet wedding, but their parents were planning a big wedding for them. Her wedding was being rushed because Noel wanted her and their son to be with him, George was shocked to hear of the wedding, he gave her his full support, though he won’t be around to attend the wedding, since he will be in the states with his fiancee shopping for their wedding,he promised to make it up to her,
************ The wedding finally came and went, Debbie had moved into Noel’s house as his wife, his father surprised Debbie with a brand new car, she refused travelling out for her honeymoon, she said wanted to stay with her husband in their new exotic home, she was happily married.
Noel proved to be the man he promised to be, he took care of Debbie and their son, he took over his father’s company, his father was happy to see his son change into a responsible man, he managed the company wisely.

Debbie and her son, Henry paid her mother a Sunday visit, her husband dropped them off after service to spend some time with her, her mother was always happy anytime they came to visit. She was enjoying the freshly made juice her mother prepared for her when the security guard rushed in to inform them of a familiar figure at the gate, they rushed out immediately, the gateman opened the gate and what they saw shocked them, her mum couldn’t scream, she opened her mouth in shock, Debbie froze at the sight of what she saw.
