CHAPTER 36
Tania has an unusual smile on her face as she brought her hand closer and closer to the necklace
Kimora felt uneasy as she watched her hand coming closer to it, then she noticed something
Tania’s hand is smooth and not so full of veins like this, she became suspicious and held her hand
She looked at Tania and their eyes met, her hand that she’s holding is so hot like someone set flre on it
Tania’s eyes is still calm with a fake smile
“You’re not Tania” Kimora said and the smile disappeared from Tania’s face, they both stood immediately
Kimora let go of her hand and she transformed to lioness immediately
“I knew it” Kimora whispered
“You’re smarter than I thought” Lioness smiled
“How dare you come in the appearance of my friend”
” Cos I need to take what has to be taken,” lioness replied
” Do you have a death wish?, And you’re so dumb, to think you’ll get my necklace do easily” Kimora said boldly
” If I had knew a frail maid like you Is the non-human, I’d have ki.lled you for long” lioness said
” Try ki.lling me now that you know’ Kimora replied and snapped her fingers, she transformed and lioness tried grabbing her but she leapt into the air and stayed there, lioness did the same and they stood in the air, facing each other
Lioness made the first move again but Kimora turned around and landed back on the ground
Lioness came to the ground too and Kimora smiled then made the first move this time, she magically made her robe arm so long and it flew to lioness, it captured her ne¢k and drew her to Kimora
Kimora tried to dip her fingers into her eyes and just blind her but someone jumped down into their middle and the robe got cut from lioness neck
It’s Mazu himself
“The necklace” he said
“Get it if you can” Kimora replied and directed loud sound waves to both of them, they escaped and it hit the wall, the whole room shook to it’s roots immediately
Mazu used magical gummy hands to draw her closer and she found herself going towards him, she can’t control the situation till she got to him and he grabbed her ne¢k, small bIood escaped the corner of her lips as he did
He made to take the necklace but she covered it with her palms
“Don’t you know when to give up?” Mazu said, his voice echoing as usual
” You don’t own the necklace it’s mine” she said and almost immediately, the door opened and Jimin came in
“Kimora!” He said shockingly
“Don’t come closer!, Jimin go out please” she said hastily
“Star king just let her go!” He yelled
” Your authority as the second prince of this town doesn’t get to me” Mazu said and took advantage of the situation, he pulled the necklace from her neck and immediately vanished with lioness
Kimora staggered and coughed, she vomited more bIood in the process
Jimin rushed to her and held her in place, hugging her face with his palms
“Are you ok?” He asked but she kept staring at him sadly, he wiped the bIood on his lips with a piece of clothe
His eyes travelled to her neck and he saw the necklace is gone
“The necklace…” He said
“He stole it” she replied, hugging him immediately
” It’s ok, he still won’t win” Jimin said
“Petal told me not to ever lose it” she said
“Who’s Petal?’ he asked
She broke the hug and faced him
“A flower goddess who looks a lot like me, though I’ve never seen her face, she only communicates with me invisibly, the only thing I’ve seen is her back view and that even looks like my older version” she said
” Is she related to you?” Jimin asked
” I think so, royal shaman Gaeul said there must be a connection between the two of us though I’m not sure” she replied
” What about this star king?”
” I don’t know why he’s like this, I don’t know him” she replied
” Who are your parents?” Jimin asked
“I’ve never seen them, I just know Ginelle saw me in the woods of Miryang on a snowy day, I was in the middle of a flower island and I was bleeding so much when she saw me, she took me home to her grandmother, grandma Gemma, they both took care of me till grandma Gemma passed away some months ago, a week after she passed away, I got hired as one of the palace maids” she said
” So .. you’ve never met your parents before”
“I don’t even know if I have” she replied slowly
Jimin heaved and stared into her eyes again, she’s obviously scared
He smiled and pecked her forehead deeply…. “I love you, just trust me that nothing is gonna happen ok?” He said
She nodded hopefully. ” I love you more” she replied
” Ten guards died tonight” he said and her eyes widened
” What!, Who did that!”
“Obviously star king, but since you’re the first mythical being to appear, you’re the prime suspect, father ordered that the royal shaman should come tommorow so investigations will start” he replied
” What do we do?, He purposely did it cos he wants me to get suspected” she said
“I’m sure she knows what to do, she’ll tell the king it’s not what they think” he replied and Kimora nodded
” Don’t be scared ok?” He said
She nodded and he hugged her again.

Royalty’s room**
“The body of the dead guards has been taken away from the palace, the dead bodies look hideous just like the dead bodies of the as.sassins the other time” a guard reported to Rachel who’s sitting beside unconscious Royalty
“Does that mean….”
“Yes your highness, she deceived us by killing only the as.sassins the other time, but now she must be so thirsty for blood, that’s why she came for the guards and soon she might proceed to killing the royals” the guard replied
Rachel heaved and looked at Royalty on the bed again. “How is foolish Jung Mal supposed to handle this” she thought
” Mother” Royalty’s voice came slowly and she spranged up
“You’re awake, oh thank goodness I’m so glad!, I’m glad!” Rachel said gladly as Royalty sat up
” Be careful, does your wrist hurt a lot?” She asked
Royalty looked at the bandaged wrist without talking
“Why did you hurt yourself?, Just why?” Rachel asked
“Will you do what I want?” Royalty asked
” You know I’ll do anything for you so far I can do it” she replied, stroking her hair
” Let me get married to Cory” she said and Rachel took her hand away from her hair
” Are you sure you’ve woken up?”
“I love him” she said
“Love a guard?, How could you, have you ever seen a princess marrying a guard?, Stop talking about it what’s wrong with you!” Rachel yelled
” You mean you won’t do it?” Royalty said
” Even his majesty must not hear of it so just forget about it” Rachel said
Royalty lay back on the bed and turned her back on Rachel
“Are you gonna remain headstrong like this?” Rachel said
” Go away” Royalty replied.

Suzy’s room*”
” So now you need to tell me why you did that for him, why will you take a sword meant for a guard” Sera asked Suzy who’s sitting on her bed, eating apple slowly
“I love him” she replied
“What!”.
“I want him to be my husband” she said again and Sera stood
” Why me, your brother is into a maid and here you are, talking about getting married to a guard, did I commit a grave sin in my first life?, I don’t deserve this” Sera said
” Mother i know it must sound insane but I just want him” she said
” You want Cory?’ Jimin said, entering the room
” Big brother.. ” she said slowly
“Don’t do it” he said
“But you love a maid” she replied
” It’s because we’re fated so don’t try to have Cory” he replied
“Fated?” Sera said, facing him
” Mother just consult the royal shaman, you’ll get all the answers to your questions’ Jimin said ..
