“It was a dream right? What happened was a dream— yes it was a dream, I couldn’t have possibly gone to his room drunk.”, Daria told herself.
“It has to be a dream.”, She said remembering everything that had happened yesterday including what Max had told her.
“Breakfast is ready.”, Helen said as she entered Daria’s room.
“Thank you, is Mr Finn out already?”, She asked and helen shook her head.
“He said that he wouldn’t have time to eat, he has a lot of work to do.”, She replied.
“That’s good, I can quickly eat my breakfast before he comes out.”, She thought.
Max glared at her as she walked towards him.
“Don’t glare too much, I was just drunk yesterday, it is not what you think.”, She said.
“So you don’t like my dad?”, He asked bluntly and Daria opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.
“I don’t blame you tho, girls like you tend to fall for handsome and charming guys like my dad.”, He said and Daria scoffed.
Was he indirectly insulting her or what?
“I don’t like him that much and don’t worry I don’t plan on dating him, you already told me your mom belongs to him.”, She said.
“You don’t need to worry cos what happened yesterday night won’t happen again, I will stay away from your dad.”, She said.
“Why do you like my dad? Is it because of his money? Or you just want popularity?”, He asked.
“Keep it down! I don’t want your dad to know and I’m not after your dad’s money or fame, I just like him.”, She said.
“Well I don’t believe you.”, He replied.
“Max please help it a secret, I don’t want Mr Finn to know about how I feel about him, please don’t tell him.”, She pleaded.
“You are making it obvious yourself but I will think about it first.”, He said and she smiled at him.
“You might like my dad and he might end up doing same but you guys can’t be together if I disapprove of you, so if I were you I would be nice and obedient.”, He said with a smirk and Daria just rolled her eyes.
“So my phone and game gadget?”, He asked.
“I can only give you one.”, She replied.
“Okay, my phone.”, He said and she reluntanly went to take his phone from where she had hidden it.

“You should go and prepare, I promised you that we would go out.”, Finn said.
“Are you serious? Aren’t you busy?”, Max asked.
“I want to forget about work today and spend time with my son.”, Finn said and max rushed upstairs.
“Good morning Mr Finn, I want to pick something from my room.”, Daria said nervous with the way Finn stared at her.
She had planned on avoiding him but it wasn’t possible.
“Explain what yesterday was about.”, He demanded.
“Mr Finn I don’t know what you are talking about, I can’t remember anything.”, She said as she made attempt to move but Finn blocked her way.
“Then why are you running away? You weren’t really drunk right?”, He asked as he moved closer and Daria moved back too.
“I — I was drunk, I’m sorry.”, She said.
“Why are you apologizing? You clearly remembered what you did.”, He said as he finally caged her that she was unable to move.
Feeling his breath on her, she became uneasy. She wasn’t supposed to get turn on but there she was imagining her and Mr Finn kssing.
“You shouldn’t touch me anyhow, don’t hug me anyhow. You are not allowed and don’t come to my room drunk.”, He said.
“Mr Finn …!”, She called as she stared at his lips intensely.
She wasn’t supposed to be feeling this way, she was well aware of that but you can’t stop yourself from having feelings.
“I care about Oliver’s feelings because he likes you.”, Finn said.
“What about my feelings? Have you asked me what I feel about him?”, Daria said.
“You just met him, there is still a possibility that you might like him. Just give him a chance.”, He said.
“Fine! I will but I hope you will be okay with it.”, She said.
“Finn!”, Oliver called in disbelief.
The way he met Finn and Daria is very misleading, no one would see them that way and not misunderstand.
“What’s going on here?”, He asked and Finn moved away from Daria immediately.
“Oliver you can court me and make me like you, there is someone I am trying to forget. If you successfully move the person away from my mind then we can start dating.”, Daria said and Oliver nodded immediately.
“Daria you shouldn’t have said that, you just gave Oliver hope but if Oliver knows that I like his best friend, won’t that ruin their friendship?”
“Jeez! I’m so confused, what should I do?”

Cinema
Oliver had followed them to the cinema, things were really awkward especially for Daria who felt uncomfortable with Oliver.
Not that she didn’t feel safe with him, it’s just that she just wasn’t comfortable sitting beside him and holding hands.
It was really awkward for her and she wished it was Finn instead.
She kept stealing glances at Finn, it got to a time that she warned herself not to stare at him but even she know it, she would be at it again.
She caught Max staring at her but unfortunately he had no expression, he was difficult to read.
“Are you uncomfortable?”, Oliver asked.
“I just need to use the restroom, I will be back.”, Daria said and he finally let go of her hand, releasing her.
“Dad your phone is ringing.”, Max said and Finn looked at it.
“It can wait till after the movie.”, Finn replied.
“No it might be really important, you should go outside and pick it.”, Mad replied and Finn looked at him suspiciously.
“You are not planning to run away, are you?”, He asked and max shook his head.
“Don’t worry I will keep a watch on him.”, Oliver offered and Finn went out.
“Uncle Oliver.”, Max called and he turned to look at him.
“Do you know who Daria likes?”, He asked and Oliver shook his head.
“I don’t need to know, I just need to make her like me.”, Oliver replied.
“She likes my dad.”, He said and Oliver’s eyes widened.
“What?”
“She told me herself, she admitted it.”, He added and Oliver kept quiet for a while.
“Does Finn know?”, He asked and max shook his head.
“But why are you telling me this tho?”, He asked and max just shrugged.
“I’m just telling you so that you won’t waste your time on that lady.”, Max said.
“Max I know you, you are very cunning. I’m sure you are just saying this to chase me away, it isn’t true.”, Oliver said.
“Then you should find out yourself, you are smart aren’t you? Confirm what I just said, she likes me dad and my dad can like her later in the future…. You know what I mean right?”, Max said with a mischievous smile.
“Finn already promised me that he won’t fall for her.”, Oliver replied.
“And you believed… I thought you were smart.”, Max said and Oliver was able saying something when Daria returned to her seat.
She looked around for Finn and he was no where to be seen.
“Dad is making a call outside, you don’t have to worry.”, Max said to Daria and she nodded.
Max looked at oliver and winked making him to clench his fist.
